Jun 23, 2010 | Cards, Celebrate Everything, Game Night, Masculine, Retired List |
This is another card from my Last Chance class this month. I really like this Game Night stamp set and hate that it is on the Last Chance list – it is so very different from everything else and works great for both masculine cards and party invitations – things like Bunko, Pokeeno, Game Night. It is also a good set for scrapbooking. I have used this stamp set for many things.
The card base is Ruby Red (one of the retiring colors) – I used two strips of the Jackpot Designer Series Paper (the paper is retiring) on the left side and then added a piece of the Black Gingham ribbon (this ribbon is retiring).
On a piece of Whisper White card stock I stamped the game pieces one in Ruby Red and one in So Saffron. The domino was stamped in VersaMark ink and covered with Black Embossing Powder and heat set. All the pieces were cut out.
First stamp the chess piece in VersaMark on the card base – carefully cover with Black Embossing Powder and heat set. Then I stamped the CELEBRATE in VersaMark along the ribbon. Add the cut out pieces and then stamp “your day” underneath using VersaMark ink. These stamps are from the Celebrate Everything stamp set which is also on the Last Chance list. I did emboss on the envelope too so that I could have it match my card.
Our monthly pokeeno game night will be coming around again soon – maybe I need to come up with some little treats to bring everyone.
Thanks for the visit – have a great day!
May 27, 2009 | Big Shot, Celebrate Everything, class, Designer Series Paper, Sporting, Stamps, SU Buttons |
I thought I posted this card already – but couldn’t find it on my blog – but I finally figured it out – I posted the information for this one on my Stampin’ Up! website. This was the other card that we made at my class this month. So if you want the details for it go visit my website – www.monika.stampinup.net – I really like this card but it was not my original idea, it was an idea I had saved while searching around on various blogs and websites or it might have been in a magazine. I added the textured panel and if I remember I used different colors than the original card that I saw. I think the actual layout could be great for many things – birthday, teens, boys – just change the colors as needed and the words to match the occasion. How about a graduation card in the school colors and replace a button element with one that looks like a cap.
I have several ideas for Father’s Day cards ready to go and I’ll have to decide which one to use for my Father and then the boys can pick what they want to give to Greg for Father’s Day. I guess it will be here soon as June is right around the corner.
I’m excited for June to get here because we (Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators) get to see the new Stampin’ Up! catalog! I’ll be ordering mine on June 1st and waiting patiently (well maybe not so patiently) for it to get here. And if you want to know what is in it – well you will have to come see me in June because I can’t post any information about it until July 1st. I’ll also be taking pre-orders for the new catalog – I’ll have more information about that in my customer newsletter for June. So if you want a peek in June when I have my catalog make sure you come to a class!
Two more days of school left – well really 1 and a half – since they are all done by 10:30 am on Friday.
I should make that card into a Celebrate Summer card – then I could send it in for the Late Night Stampers challenge for this week.
I have been working last night and part of tonight on the ribbon share. I’ll have it all done tomorrow. It is taking me longer to put the little packages together than I expected but they sure are cute. I’ll post that tomorrow.
Good Night!
Feb 27, 2009 | Big Shot, Celebrate Everything, Sale-A-Bration 2009, Scrapbook Pages, Stamps |
Hi everyone on this rainy Friday (at least where I am it is rainy). At my scrapbook class on Wednesday night we did a bonus 12×12 page using some of the Sale-A-Bration items. I found this page idea on Splitcoast Stampers and changed a few things on it but the layout was basically the same as the one from the original designer. Like I said yesterday sometimes your final project turns out to look totally different from your inspiration and other times it looks much the same. Here is my 12 x 12 page:
SAB Celebrate Page
The colors come directly from Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. The colors are Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and I used Whisper White. I used the stamp set Polka Dot Punches and also the ribbon from the Ribbon Bundle. I cut out a Top-Note with my Big Shot machine and also used the Stampin’ Up! Little Leaves Embosslit. I stamped the title in Basic Grey ink using the stamp set Celebrate Everything (page 132 in the Spring-Summer 09 Idea Book). This set is great because you have so many choices – there are 7 different words to pair up with the word Celebrate so you can use it from many different things. I used a Bashful Blue brad in the center of the flower. Punches used that coordinate with the Polka Dot Punches stamp set are the Scallop Circle Punch and the 5-Petal Flower Punch. I hope you like it – I think this page could be used for many different things including wedding, baby, Easter and more.
Happy Stamping!
Monika
