It’s the Last Chance to order from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog. Items on the Last Chance lists will be gone at the end of Tuesday, June 2, 2020. If you still have something one your gotta have list get it now.
May Quick & Cute Cards Online
On Sunday afternoon I had an online class showing some last chance items and I thought I’d post real quick the cards I made. If you want to see the videos and project supplies, etc. you’ll want to join the FB group that the class was held in – At Monika’s Place: May Quick & Cute Cards Online.
Card 1 – Stitched All Around
This first card idea came from my friend Cindy – I loved how the background is made with Stampin’ Blends. You may see the Stampin’ Blends on the Last Chance list but they will be in the new catalog. Going forward they will be offered in combo packs only – so you get the light and dark Blends for a color together. The Stitched All Around stamp set and the Stitched Labels dies are both retiring. And so is the Whisper White Baker’s Twine – why did they do that? It is a staple in my craft room.
Card 2 – Birthday Backgrounds
This card idea is from my friend Melody. It uses some great birthday sets that are retiring – Birthday Backgrounds and Perennial Birthday. The color palette is from the Glitter Enamel Dots which are also on the retirement list. And the White Baker’s Twine – I’m so sad.
Card 3 – Mosaic Vases
These fun cards use the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series paper. It has a fun mosaic tile design with shiny embossed accents. The paper is retiring and so are the Hand Lettered Prose dies that I used to cut out the THANKS. The Flower Faceted Gems are retiring too – they match perfectly to the Mosaic paper. The stamp set I used is Varied Vases which unfortunately is sold out already. But the Vibrant Vases could also be used. The Vase Builder punch will be in the new catalog.
Card 4 – Magnolia Memories & More card
And this quick card uses the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and the Cards & Envelopes that coordinate. No stamping on this one. Really quick to put something together with the Memories & More products.

It’s that time of year when we start to say good bye to items that will be retiring from our current catalogs. The 2019 Occasions Catalog and the 2018-2019 Annual catalogs are both coming to an end. But don’t despair I just saw the new catalog that is coming in June and it has lots of exciting and pretty new things!! Until then let’s make sure you have what you wanted from these current catalogs.
First here are a few notes about Stamp sets and Bundles that are retiring.
- Due to high demand for retiring stamp sets, these items will have guaranteed availability until May 24; all other products are not guaranteed and are available while supplies last only.
- Wood-mounted and Clear-mounted stamp sets – all of these are retiring because we are switching to the new CLING stamps. Some of the actual stamp images are carrying over but they are listed as retiring because our current inventory of wood/clear is what is retiring. You can see this list CARRYOVER CLING of the ones that will continue in the new catalog as CLING.
- Bundles – All bundles are retiring. Bundles offer a 10% savings when they are first introduced in a catalog. But when the components carry over to the next catalog they are offered as individual items and no longer in the savings bundle. Get those now if you want the savings.
And some notes about other retiring items
- 2017-2019 In Colors – Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, and Fresh Fig – everything with these colors is retiring. Order refills for your ink pads and extra card stock and accessories now.
- Designer Series Paper – all the Designer Series Paper is retiring. We do have lots of pretty new paper coming but if you have something you love get it before it is gone.
- Trimmer & Cutting Blades – the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer is retiring along with the blades. A new solution is coming but I don’t know the time line for that right now. Stampin’ Up! has ordered additional cutting blades based on sales history. These will be available intermittently over the next several months. If they are out of stock you can select to receive an email for when they are back in stock. These will likely sell quickly every time a shipment arrives. Quantities are limited to 6 packs (2 in a pack) when you do order.
Download the excel lists I’ve created of the retiring items from the Occasions catalog and the Annual catalog. The carryover sets that are switching to cling are not included. Stamp sets offered in both wood and clear mount are on the same line. Bundles are not included individually in these lists.

The best place to see what is available is in the online store. As items sell out they will be removed from the online store. I’d be happy to place an order for you but an item might sell out between the time you give me your order and the time I can get it placed. Our 2017-2018 Annual Catalog and 2018 Occasions Catalog are coming to an end this month. And in order to make room for exciting brand new products we have to say good-bye to these Last Chance products. Plus we have a Color Revamp happening so some of our colors are retiring too. Stampin’ Up! is going to be doing a Color Revamp this year. It’s been 8 years since we made a significant change to our core colors. Color trends are change over time and we want to keep our color offering fresh, new, and relevant.
What does that mean? Let’s take a look.
- Colors will be updated in the 2018-2019 annual catalog. This will start on June 1, 2018.
- the In Color program will remain the same – with 5 colors rotating in each year and staying for 2 years
- keeping 27 of our existing core colors
- 13 core colors are going away
- 5 In Colors (2016-2018) are going away
- 5 new In Colors are being introduced – the 2018-2020 In Colors
- adding 10 brand new core colors
- adding 6 returning In Colors that will now be core colors
- our color offering will expand from 50 to 53 colors
- we rearranged the color families a bit
I’m excited about the changes and the new colors. The majority of the retiring colors were not any that I was using. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new ones!
I received these color swatches at the CenterStage event last weekend so here are all the colors in a pretty rainbow swirl!

It’s the LAST Day!
Today is the LAST day that you can order from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and 2017 Occasions Catalog. At midnight tonight they officially retire! Do a quick check and make sure you have not missed anything.
It’s one more day until the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog begins! Ordering begins June 1st at 2:00 PM ET (12 noon MT). If you don’t have your new catalog yet let me know.
Here is my last Something Old project for you:
A clean and simple card made in Neutral colors for Father’s Day. But you can easily change the greeting for some other occasion. I used the Crazy About You Stamp Set which has a big variety of words in it. The card stock is Tip Top Taupe which is one of our retiring In Colors. And the embossing folder – I’m so sad – I loved those big polka dots. The Neutrals Designer Paper stack is also retiring.
And today’s something new project –
It’s the Daisy Delight Bundle which has been extremely popular among the demonstrators during our pre-order. Yes one of the perks of being a demo is we get the chance to order some products early. I made this card for a swap and punch lots of daisies. It’s the daisy punch that has been so popular and won’t be available right on June 1st – but will be back in stock later in the month. Those gemstones (see it in the center of my flower) are so much fun – I’ve been using those up too – they come in two colors – gold and clear.
