The first one was in the Regals colors which are your more traditional holiday colors. This second one is the same card using the Brights collection. I swapped out the card stock colors to #146975 Brights 8-1/2 x 11 Cardstock Assortment (Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape) and the bling to be #152477 Artistry Blooms Sequins. Everything else was the same. And if you want to use this same design for a birthday card just switch out the words!
I hope you like these fun colorful cards. They are the perfect design for using up thin scraps of cardstock – these are 1/4″ strips.
Do you need something cute for your Thanksgiving dinner table? This little guy is going to be the perfect solution. Use him at each place setting on the table. If you need to assign seats then put a name where I stamped the “Happy Thanksgiving”.
This was a really fun project that my Stamper’s club got to make this month at our meeting. And today I shared it on my weekly FB Live. I’ll be uploading it to Youtube as well – and then adding that link here too.
Make these in a variety of patterns from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series paper. The paper is part of the sale this month so grab a pack now. You can get two turkey’s from each sheet of the 6×6 paper. Clip them on to a fork, or a napkin to dress up each place setting for Thanksgiving. If you need assigned seats – then write a name on the banner instead of stamping the Happy Thanksgiving.

Hello to you! I hope you are well, staying safe and staying busy. This might be a great time to get some crafting done. With Easter coming up quickly this weekend I thought I’d share a couple of projects that I made this week. You can see these projects on my Facebook Live from April 6, 2020 – you can watch that here – https://www.facebook.com/325026102188/videos/1368024350047514/
In past years we have had big family events for Easter – sometimes with 35 people at our house. The past couple of years we haven’t done that and this year it will just be Greg and I. I guess it will be just like any other day but I thought I’d make a couple of little treats for the table and I may take some to the neighbors and I’m making cards to send to our family. So let me show you:
Easter Card
This idea came from the back of the Jan-June Mini catalog and I used stamp sets and dies that I already had on hand. The bunnies are colored with Stampin’ Blends – Crumb Cake light and Petal Pink light. The grass die cut was cut into two pieces and trimmed to fit inside the stitching on the Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die. Then I glued them on top of each other and added the bunnies with dimensionals. If you want the grass to look more like grass you can trim off the cat tails but I didn’t want to take the time to do that.

Bunny Treat
I saw this little bunny treat shared online and it is so quick an easy to make with strips of Designer Series Paper. Wrap a hershey nugget or similar candy to go inside the bunny shape. They would make cute little treats to put at the table on Sunday. I’ve made some with the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.

#102300 Bone Folder

Spring Umbrella Cone
I made a little umbrella cone project as an alternate idea for the March 2020 – No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin kit. My original project used one of the envelopes to create the cone and then added candy and a tag using supplies from the kit. I decided to make another one using regular supplies that I had on hand. The Daisy punch can be used to make a bunny head and the balloon punch can be used to make eggs. To create the cone – trace a plate on a piece of 6×6 Designer Series paper.

My classes will be a little different for the time being. At the end of March I tried a quick call to go – it was kind of a last minute thing. I’m working on a class to go – or class by mail – not sure what to call it yet. It will feature the new Ornate Garden Suite. I’ll share more about that soon.
At the end of February I held my Spring Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat. It was an amazing weekend full of crafting with a wonderful group of ladies. The theme for the retreat was Peaceful Poppies – it is one of my favorite suites out of the Mini Catalog. Pretty paper and some beautiful stamp sets and coordinating dies. I wanted to share a couple of the cards we made. I showed how to make these two cards and all our projects and pillow gifts from our retreat in a Facebook Live earlier this week – you can view that here if you would like.
This was our weekend gang! Normally we try to get a group photo outside but we had a lot of rain that weekend and even some snow flurries! It was a cold rainy weekend of fun. So our photo is in the basement craft area – everyone crowded around my table.
Thank You Card
This is one of the cards that we made at the retreat. Background stamping in tone on tone colors and a fun frame made out of the two label dies. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the flower. The yellow pops out against the Poppy Parade.
Here is one of the cards that we made. It uses the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series paper for a base layer, and the small layer and for the base of the flower. The peek-thru die cut flowers in each corner of the white layer. For the label that I stamped Happy Birthday on I used a trick to make it smaller – cut the label once, then reposition the die on it to create a shorter label. You can see how if you watch my video.
We had a whole bunch of projects that we made including two home decor projects. Some sweet pillow gifts. Yummy snacks and food. And a tons of fun. I can’t wait to host another one in the fall.
Remember in January I had a plan to design and make a Christmas card each month for the whole year. It’s my plan to get ahead on Christmas cards for December. If you want to read more or see card 1 – go here. I’ve got two months done. So I wanted to share my February card with you.
This card idea is actually from a swap card that I created using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set that is part of our Sale-A-Bration promotion. I created a thank you card that has been very well loved, so I thought I can turn that idea into a Christmas card by changing up the colors. And adding a different set for the sentiment. Everything I used on this card is current – so if you don’t have it you can order it and make this card too. I gathered up all my supplies, worked on all my pieces, and then sat and assembled everything – including stamping the inside of the card and a matching envelope.
How I made it
The card base is Early Espresso with a white layer that was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I stamped the stem/leaf image in Mossy Meadow ink. And then added flowers and berries in Merry Merlot. I used the Small Bloom punch to punch out flowers from Merry Merlot card stock and stacked two together to make a flower. To give the flower some curvature I like to put it on a Stampin’ Pierce mat and burnish the center with a stylus from the Take Your Pick tool – just roll it around in the center of each flower until they start to curl.
Under the flower is a vellum circle – punched with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch. And in the center of the flower is a Basic Rhinestone. To finish I tied a little bow with some Mossy Meadow twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack. Celebrate the Season is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set that carried over from the Holiday catalog. You can order all the products that I used for this card in my online store – the supply list is below.
