For our area the local high school graduations are this weekend. The county has them all in the same location and with 6 high schools now they hold 2 each day – Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our schools are large and the traffic around the facility gets backed up for ever. For us we don’t have to do that anymore since Ryan is the youngest and he graduated from high school last year. He has finished his first year of college. The next graduation we have will be Tyler graduating college in December. But we do have friends and other family members graduating now and I need to send out some cards.
The Bravo stamp set is perfect for graduation cards. It has a variety of greetings and most are pretty big in size too. I used that set to make this graduation card. Remember yesterday I said that I often take left over card parts and remake them into a new card. Well I did the same thing with this card – it was one I originally created earlier this year during Sale-A-Bration so the little strip of designer paper that I used is from the paper pack that you could get then. But it would be easy to switch that out for any paper – use one that coordinates with the school colors of your graduate.

The other stamp set I used on this card is called Dotty Angles. Both of these are photopolymer so they are see through and easy to position on your project. I finished the card with some Baker’s Twine – I used Basic Black here and its tied into a bow with long tails and feels like a tassel – if you wanted you could actually add a tassel made from Baker’s Twine.
On the inside I stamped the big CONGRATS! There is room to write a short note if you need to. Add it to a gift or include something in the card. A really quick card to make – you could pop out a stack of them in no time.

Blooming with Kindness is a wonderful stamp set in the catalog and sadly it is retiring. The wood mount set is even 25% off right now. I decided to pull this one out for my Card Maker’s class last week.
I had pieces and parts left from another card and decided to use those to create a card with this stamp set. It’s a challenge at times to use things already cut for something else. But if I have leftovers that I’ve cut and don’t need I hate to waste them especially when there is already a decent quantity of all the parts ready. I find myself doing this every other month or so – grabbing a stack of left overs from an earlier card and using a different stamp set resulting in something totally new.
Perhaps I should try to find the post for the card that these parts were originally for. I’ll add that back in at the end if I can.
The colors here are Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. A soft card. I love the softness that Very Vanilla brings to a card. Whisper White is always bright and the Very Vanilla just softens things for me. Here is a closer look at the butterfly on the card.
I punched from a piece that was stamped with the Dahlia flower from the set – I think it gives the look of butterfly wings. I then went around the edge of the punch out with the edge of my Stampin’ Write marker so that it would be more defined. I finished by tying some Linen Thread around it. Linen Thread is my favorite!! I always worry that it will be on the retired list but it’s in the catalog for another year.

So I couldn’t find the post with the other card and I looked back through my photos and it must have been in those that I lost when our external drive crashed earlier this year (which might be why it didn’t get posted). I’m not home to look for the actual card and take another photo of it but I’ll try to remember to do that when I get back.

Remember yesterday I mentioned that I had a card to share showing an alternate idea for the stamps in the May Paper Pumpkin Kit. Well here it is…
The happy birthday stamp with the swirls is from the May Paper Pumpkin kit. Plus I used ink spots from some earlier kits – Bermuda Bay and Tangerine Tango to ink the stamp – little spots are easy to use for inking just a portion of the image in one color and the rest of the image in another color. The big ink pads you can’t really do that with – you could however use the Stampin’ Write Markers to do this but sometime I think the ink pads give better coverage of ink.
The Tangerine Twine in the button is also from what comes in the kit – I just separated the twisted twine and used some of the Tangerine threads to go through the silver metal button. It’s also the same twine we had in the Holiday catalog and in the carryover section of the Occasions catalog – so you can order more of it through June 2nd.
I also used some of the retiring designer paper – this pack is called Confetti Celebration – which is bright with geometric patterns in it. I do have another sneak peek item that I used on this card!! I bet you can’t guess what it is. It’s a brand new PUNCH coming in the new catalog and I think it’s going to be a top seller! I’ve already been using it like crazy – it’s the new Banner Triple Punch – and it punches the little banner tails for you and has guides for 3 different widths of paper – 1″, 1-1/2″ and 2″. Plus I found that I was still able to use it outside of the guides for other widths of paper – i just flipped it over so I could see where it was punching the tails underneath. This punch will be available June 2nd!

That’s right there is only one more week left to order from the 2014-2015 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog and the 2015 Occasions Catalog. One more week to get the deals on the retired list. So it’s almost time to say our goodbyes including a big good bye to My Digital Studio – at least to new downloads, software support and the print service through Stampin’ Up!. You can still use your program, add digital content from other sources and print through other services.
June 2nd is the last day for ordering physical product from the catalogs. Additionally here is some information about My Digital Studio:
New Dates
We have extended the availability date for MyDigitalStudio.net, the digital download manager, and our MDS YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest pages through midnight, June 9, 2015. Demonstrators and customers may call Demonstrator Support for assistance with MDS until Demonstrator Support closes at 7:00 PM (MT) on Tuesday, June 9.
A few things to note regarding the change in catalogs – on June 2, 2015 you will be able to order from the old catalogs and the new catalogs – for just one day! If an item is a different price in the new catalog on June 2nd the old pricing will apply and on June 3rd the new pricing will apply. The new catalog will go to an Even-Dollar pricing structure – so things that were *.95 will be a nickel more in the new catalog in most cases. There are a few items with a little more change –
- Embossing Folders are going down in price in the new catalog from 7.95 to 7.50
- The Standard Crease Pad and Cutting Pads for the Big Shot are going from 8.95 to 11
- The Big Shot is going from 99.95 to 110

Now on to something crafty…..
Here is a card that features one of the retiring stamp sets – Tape It. The stamps all look like different pieces of washi tape. The great thing is you can stamp them in any color ink that you want. So now you have “washi tape” in all our our Stampin’ Up! colors!
I used the And Many More stamp set to add a greeting to this card which could be used for just about anything. Stamp what you need on a strip of white card stock and staple it to the front of the card.

I thought I would share a quick sneak peek today – it’s a brand new stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! catalog – the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog that starts on June 2, 2015.
The set is called Sprinkles of Life and you may miss it in the catalog – it is on the inside of the back cover and it’s the new Ronald McDonald House stamp set. That means for every stamp set that is sold Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to Ronald McDonald House Charities. This set is SOOO Cute! You are going to love it. I can’t wait to play with it some more. There is even a matching punch – the Tree Builder Punch – it’s what the scoops of ice cream are punched with – so it’s much more than just a tree punch.
