Well we finished Day 1 of the Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat! Here are some pictures from Friday evening.
A fun start to a fun weekend!
Have you seen the new Envelope Punch Board from Stampin’ Up!?
Look what I made!
A fun Halloween envelope using the Witches Brew Designer Series paper. It was so easy. Find your card size on the board, cut your paper to the correct size, put it on the board at the indicated scoring line – punch, score, turn, punch, score, turn, repeat two more times. You can corner round the ends and then fold it up.
And then you can make this cute matching card to go inside
It’s a File Folder style card and see the little tabs at the top – those were made using the envelope punch board! Now these are fun little cards to make. I saw this idea on several other demo blogs – I found multiple videos on how others made these.
I used the Halloween Happiness stamp set for this card – here are a few tips for you:
Fun, fun – really it was fun. I need to make some more cards of this style.
I’m finishing up the projects for my Cards that Move class tomorrow – so I have to get back to that. Thanks for stopping by today. I know several people ask for more information on the clear case mini scrapbook I posted a week or so ago and I’ll have another post soon with some more details on that.
See ya later!
Oh – here is what the punch board looks like –
It is available to order now for $19.95 – visit my online store to order yours today – www.monika.stampinup.net – click SHOP NOW.
I created some Halloween cards this week for my card class with the ladies at KSU. Since the KSU mascot is an owl I knew one of the cards had to feature an owl. And as it happened the color challenge at Create with Connie & Mary this week turned out to be the same colors I used for my card. I’m so excited as it has been a long time since I played along with a challenge!
Here is the Color Challenge –
And a few details about my card –
Everyone at the class loved it. I hope you do too.
Thanks for stopping by – I’ll have some more Washi Tape projects coming up so please come back!
Have you seen the new Witches’ Brew Washi Tape in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog? It’s a fun collection. This is another quick and easy Washi tape note card –
For this one the Washi Tape is overlapped on the note card and then I stamped directly on the tape with Black StazOn ink – the little “happy halloween” from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I also stamped in once above the tape too.
I added a tiny Pumpkin Pie button tied with some Linen Thread.
To seal the envelope I think the skull Washi Tape would be really fun to use. Really a very quick an easy card. That makes project #7 from my Washi Tape class – and yes there are still more to come!
You can shop online here at my website Online Store.
I’m extending the registration deadline for the retreat until after the holiday weekend – Registrations due August 31st September 3rd for the September 27th – 29th – Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Enjoy your day with family and friends. The turkey is in the oven, the pie is made, ham is in the fridge, casseroles are ready to go in the oven and the table is set. Now to wait on the kids to wake up and watch the parade on tv. I’m hoping we can get some good family photos today that we’ll be able to use on a Christmas card.
This is a cute little pumpkin tea light project. I found the idea on Pinterest – it was created by Connie Stewart. In the center is a little battery operated tea light. So it glows when you turn it on. I left one of the vellum strips un attached and then you pull it open to get to the tea light. We made this as a stamp club project.
I built mine a little different from Connie – I glued all the pieces to the top piece instead of the bottoms because I really wanted the top pieces to all be even. I added an extra flower to the top to there is a double layer of leaves on the top.
Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso and then Vellum card stock, Very Vanilla and the Champagne Glimmer paper.
The strips are embossed and sponged. I believe they are 3/4″ wide for each strip and 4-1/4″ long.
I wanted to show it lit so I took a picture in the dark so you could see the candle in there. It looks really nice in person – not so good in this dark photo.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
The Online Extravaganza is still going on so if you want to do some Stampin’ Up! shopping online visit my website and online store –

Happy Halloween!
We made this SPOOKS scrapbook layout in my last scrapbook class – all ready for adding Halloween pictures. The layout idea is from a layout that Tiffany Bauer had on her blog.
I have a couple of kits available for sale too. All the cut pieces, punched pieces, and die cuts plus ribbon. The kit does not include stamps, ink, adhesive or stamped images. Kit price is $10 for local pickup or add shipping if it needs to be shipped to you.
Happy Halloween – the trick or treaters should be coming soon.
