Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Enjoy your day with family and friends. The turkey is in the oven, the pie is made, ham is in the fridge, casseroles are ready to go in the oven and the table is set. Now to wait on the kids to wake up and watch the parade on tv. I’m hoping we can get some good family photos today that we’ll be able to use on a Christmas card.
This is a cute little pumpkin tea light project. I found the idea on Pinterest – it was created by Connie Stewart. In the center is a little battery operated tea light. So it glows when you turn it on. I left one of the vellum strips un attached and then you pull it open to get to the tea light. We made this as a stamp club project.
I built mine a little different from Connie – I glued all the pieces to the top piece instead of the bottoms because I really wanted the top pieces to all be even. I added an extra flower to the top to there is a double layer of leaves on the top.
Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso and then Vellum card stock, Very Vanilla and the Champagne Glimmer paper.
The strips are embossed and sponged. I believe they are 3/4″ wide for each strip and 4-1/4″ long.
I wanted to show it lit so I took a picture in the dark so you could see the candle in there. It looks really nice in person – not so good in this dark photo.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
