Did you notice the beautiful Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper in our Stampin’ Up! catalog? It is on page 189 and also featured on pages 38-39 as part of the Delightfully Detailed suite. This week I did a Facebook Live showing you 3 ideas on using this paper for cards. You can view my May 13, 2019 FB live video HERE. Be sure to catch my next FB live video on Monday, May 20th.
For today’s post I have one of the cards and the other two will post in the next few days. This card uses the full sheet of the laser-cut paper but I cut it up into pieces. First I cut it in half at 6″. Then I cut each half into three 4″ pieces. So out of each of the full 12×12 pieces you can get 6 of these pieces. Be careful when cutting and handling the paper as it is very delicate.

I used a blender pen and my classic ink pads to color the delicate design in the paper. And then I trimmed away bits until I had what I wanted left for my card front. Each one will be unique depending on the section of the large piece that you started with and which bits you cut away. Once it was colored use either a Fine-tip glue pen or the Liquid multipurpose glue (very carefully) to add glue to the back and attach to the layer of Whisper White card stock. Stamp a greeting and add some of the polka dot ribbon around the layer before adding on the front of your card. The time consuming part is coloring it and then deciding what to trim away – otherwise it is a fairly simple card.

May 10, 2019 | Big Shot, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Graduation, Masculine |
It’s graduation season! We have what I think is our last graduation happening today. Ryan’s is graduating with a Master’s degree from Purdue University. And we are so very proud of him. Today’s card is perfect for this occasion.

It’s easy to get a masculine feel with the Wood Textures Designer series paper. We’ve had this great stack of 6×6 papers in our catalog for the past two years. But now it is time to say good bye! If you love it be sure to order another pack before its gone for good. The Friendly Expression Stamp set is also on the retiring list. It has some nice big greetings in it and I’ve used it throughout the whole year for different things. I’ve been in a splattering phase lately – I use my Stampin’ Write Markers to get the splatter effect – sometimes you just need to add a little something and splatter can be just the right thing.

It’s time for cake! The Cake Builder Punch is back in stock and you can order it now! That means the Piece of Cake Bundle is also available to order. Did you know that when you order as a bundle it saves you 10%? And we only have bundles when the items are introduced in the catalog. Meaning that once this catalog ends even if the products carry over (and the punch is for sure) they won’t be a bundle any more. So save your money now and order the bundle.
UPDATED: You can view my April 15, 2019 FB live video HERE. I show you how to make this card plus three more.

I used the Piece of Cake Bundle and the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper for my Bingo event at the end of February. It was a birthday theme and we made some fun cards. This one is Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy and Whisper White. I randomly stamped the Happy Birthday all over the white panel. What I do is take the stamp – ink it – stamp, stamp, stamp – and then repeat. That gives you the varying degrees of color in the background.
Supply List

- #150579 Piece of Cake Bundle 10% savings

The inside is finished to match with a coordinating strip of the Designer Series paper. The cake plate on the front is punched from the Silver Foil.

There is a little bit of Wink of Stella on the candle flames but I don’t think you can really see it in the photo.

Mar 21, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Big Shot, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Scrapbook Pages, Stamper's Club, Valentine's Day |
Let’s take a look at the scrapbook layout I created for February. It’s a love, heart themed page but doesn’t actually say Valentine’s Day so it could be used for any number of things. My monthly stamp club created the left page and then I added the right page and showed them both in my Facebook Live. Be sure you watch my Facebook Live video from Sunday, March 10th and you can see both of these pages plus some bonus tags.
Watch the video here – Facebook Live March 10th

The Meant To Be Bundle and All My Love Designer Series Paper were perfect for a February scrapbook page. I used strips of paper in varying widths and lengths. This is a perfect way to use up scraps left from other projects. The hearts stamped in the background are 3 different ones from the Meant to Be stamp set and I mounted all three on one block so they could be inked and stamped together.
Supply List
- #147003 Neutrals 12×12 Card stock
- #100730 Whisper White Card stock
- #46970 Lovely Lipstick Card stock
- #150587 Meant to Be Bundle (Meant to Be stamp set + Be Mine Stitched Framelits)
- #148576 All My Love Designer Series Paper
- #148583 Heart Epoxy Droplets
- #147116 Crumb Cake classic ink
- #143263 Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
- #148534 Well Written Framelits Dies

The Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies have so many different elements and they even fit perfectly on some of the hearts on the Designer Series paper. You also have the option to add stitching on some of the solid hearts with the stitching dies.

I scattered the little hearts from the die cut and the epoxy hearts in with the background stamping on each page.

With some of my left over scrap pieces I also made tags. These go on the orders that customers pick up from my house.

Feb 6, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Boxes, Designer Series Paper, Paper Pumpkin, Stamper's Club, Valentine's Day |
I kept seeing these adorable heart shaped treat holders on Pinterest but everyone linked to a foreign demonstrator with instructions in french. Unfortunately for me I don’t know any french. I finally found one with some photographs with measurements in centimeters so I started with that and tried to convert to inches and round it up to make it even. Played around with it a little bit until I got measurements that worked for me. They are much easier to make than they might seem. So let’s get to it.

I started by creating this version for my Stamper’s Club. This was one of their February club projects and uses the All My Love Designers Series paper. The stamp set I used for my words is Petal Palette. The little box on the inside holds a Lindor Truffle – the strawberries & cream version for Valentine’s Day. Cut your strip of Designer Series paper to be 1-1/2″ wide and 12″ long. Fold it in half. Then put some tear & tape on the end on the outside and curl the two ends together to form the heart.
To make the box I used a 3-1/2″ square of card stock – Lovely Lipstick for this one. Score all four sides at 1″ and snip two sides and fold to form a box. The tear & tape is perfect for this project. Use it to create the box and then use it on the bottom and one end to add the box inside the heart.
Supply List
- All My Love Designer Series Paper
- Lovely Lipstick card stock
- Petal Palette stamp set
- Lovely Lipstick ink
- Whisper White card stock
- Whisper White Baker’s Twine
- 1/8″ hand held punch
- Tear & Tape
After my stamp club made these I decided to make another one as an alternate project for my January Paper Pumpkin kit. I added the Animal Expedition Designer Series paper – which coordinates with the kit and the Baker’s twine to make some of these hearts out of the kit contents.

The box for this project comes from the pillow box in the paper pumpkin kit. The stamp set, ink spot and white label are all part of the kit too. If you’d like to see a Facebook Live video of this project and my other alternate projects from the January Be Mine Valentine kit go here.
Supply List
- Be Mine Valentine January 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit
- Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper
- Whisper White Baker’s Twine
- 1/8″ hand held punch
- Tear & Tape (or use the tape in the kit)
