Amazing Life Scrapbook

This bright fun scrapbook page was one that I created for my Stamp Club and also used for a class at a Spring Scrapbook Crop that I was a Vendor at.  I used the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper – the same as my Birthday Bingo cards – to make this happy layout – plus I have a couple of cards too.  For my Stamp Club I created the left page of the two page layout.  I also used those supplies to create two cards for those members that would rather have cards instead of the page.  Last week I shared the two page layout and the cards in a Facebook Live.

You can view my April 22, 2019 FB live video HERE.   Be sure to catch my next FB live video on Monday, April 29th.

I started with a Night of Navy 12 x 12 piece of card stock.  Trim a piece of Whisper White to be 11 x 11.  The cake image and Yay! were just randomly stamped in the background using Night of Navy ink.  Next I added Pineapple Punch little dots and colored the flames in too.  I chose two patterns from the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper and cut strips to cover the left side of the page.  Cut one at 1-1/2″ and the other at 1″ wide.  The photo frames/mats are cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies – since they will layer inside each other you can actually cut all the pieces with one pass through the die cutting machine.  To finish the page I added a fun tag for the title at the top.

Supply List

  • #147003 Neutrals 12×12 Cardstock (Night of Navy)
  • #124302 Whisper White 12 x 12 Carstock
  • #148750 Amazing Life stamp set
  • #150624 Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies
  • #150624 Amazing Life Bundle (stamp set + Framelits dies)
  • #148795 Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper
  • #148805 Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots
  • #146973 In Color 2018-2020 Cardstock pack (Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover)
  • #147110 Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • #147141 Pineapple Punch Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • #147024 Call Me Clover Dark Stampin’ Blends
  • #146336 Medium Night of Navy Baker’s Twine
  • #143717 Starburst Punch
  • #133782 2” Circle Punch
  • #138292 Banner Triple Punch

The second page of the layout is similar with an accent piece in the bottom corner featuring the cake.

For my stamp club members that don’t want to make a scrapbook page they have the option to make two cards instead.  They used the  same supplies which is more than enough for two cards.  Because the cards are smaller the strips of Designer Series paper where changed to be 1″ and 1/2″ and the tag was shortened a little bit.

The inside of each card has a piece of Whisper White that is stamped with the cake like the background on the scrapbook page.  I hope you like the projects.  The Amazing Life stamp set is retiring and so is the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper – be sure to get those now before they are gone for good.

Fun Fold Birthday card

Now here is that 4th card from the Birthday Bingo.  I thought I had posted it but do not see the post.  It’s a fun fold card that shows both sides of the Designer Paper.  The Happiness Blooms Designer Paper is what this whole set of cards used.  It is bright and cheerful and I love it for birthday cards. I posted the other cards already and I filmed a FB Live video showing you how to make all 4 of them.  You can view my April 15, 2019 FB live video HERE

The main part of the card is actually a 4″ x 12″ strip of the Happiness Blooms Designer paper.  It is scored and folded and then glued to a piece of Night of Navy and a piece of Whisper White is added to the inside for you to write on.  The front is decorated with the Piece of Cake stamp set, Night of Navy Baker’s Twine and Enamel Dots.

Supply List

  • #148610 Piece of Cake stamp set
  • #148795 Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper
  • #148802 Happiness Blooms Cardstock Pack
  • #148805 Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots
  • #100730 Whisper White Cardstock
  • #147110 Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • #104430 Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • #143717 Starburst Punch
  • #133782 2″ Circle Punch
  • #146336 Night of Navy Baker’s Twine

When you flip it open you get to see the other side of the Designer Paper.  It’s a fun style of card!

Here is a look at the full set of cards and the box.  Bingo was a ton of fun and I’ll be planning another one sometime this summer.

Well Written Blooms Birthday

I had planned on saying that this was the 4th card from my Birthday Bingo event, but as I scrolled back through my posts I can only find where I shared 2 cards so far.  So I guess this makes the 3rd one of the set.  And I’ll have to share the 4th one with you in another post.  Plus since I posted the others I filmed a FB Live video showing you how to make all 4 of them plus the box that I stored them all in – or use it for a gift for someone.  Would it be weird to give someone one a set of birthday cards as a birthday gift?

You can view my April 15, 2019 FB live video HERE.  I show you how to make this card plus three more.

This one is quite quick if you use the Adhesive Sheets on your paper before you die cut out the words.  By the way the adhesive sheets are retiring so be sure to order them now before they sell out.  I used the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper and the Enamel Dots on this one.  That was where the color scheme came from.  Die cut the words from the Well Written dies – these will be in our new catalog by the way.  And so will the enamel dots – you can see here that I used the dot on my i in birthday.  That’s easier than trying to keep up with the one that gets cut.  If you use the adhesive sheets all you do is peel off the backing and stick your words on your card.

Supply List

  • #148795 Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper
  • #148802 Happiness Blooms Cardstock Pack
  • #148805 Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots
  • #100730 Whisper White Cardstock
  • #143263 Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
  • #148534 Well Written Dies
  • #144106 Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
  • #146336 Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine

This card actually has no stamping on it.  Just the die-cutting and assembly. On the inside is a piece of Whisper White card stock and a matching strip of the Designer Paper.  As we near the end of the Occasions Catalog and the Annual Catalog there are many retiring products.  Be sure to order what you want now before it is gone – the Designer Paper, Navy Twine and Adhesive sheets are some of what is retiring. The link to get to my online store is below.

It’s time to say Good Bye

It’s that time of year when we start to say good bye to items that will be retiring from our current catalogs.  The 2019 Occasions Catalog and the 2018-2019 Annual catalogs are both coming to an end.  But don’t despair I just saw the new catalog that is coming in June and it has lots of exciting and pretty new things!!  Until then let’s make sure you have what you wanted from these current catalogs.

First here are a few notes about Stamp sets and Bundles that are retiring.
  • Due to high demand for retiring stamp sets, these items will have guaranteed availability until May 24; all other products are not guaranteed and are available while supplies last only.
  • Wood-mounted and Clear-mounted stamp sets – all of these are retiring because we are switching to the new CLING stamps.  Some of the actual stamp images are carrying over but they are listed as retiring because our current inventory of wood/clear is what is retiring.  You can see this list CARRYOVER CLING of the ones that will continue in the new catalog as CLING.
  • Bundles – All bundles are retiring.  Bundles offer a 10% savings when they are first introduced in a catalog.  But when the components carry over to the next catalog they are offered as individual items and no longer in the savings bundle.  Get those now if you want the savings.
And some notes about other retiring items
  • 2017-2019 In Colors – Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, and Fresh Fig – everything with these colors is retiring.  Order refills for your ink pads and extra card stock and accessories now.
  • Designer Series Paper – all the Designer Series Paper is retiring.  We do have lots of pretty new paper coming but if you have something you love get it before it is gone.
  • Trimmer & Cutting Blades – the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer is retiring along with the blades.  A new solution is coming but I don’t know the time line for that right now.  Stampin’ Up! has ordered additional cutting blades based on sales history.  These will be available intermittently over the next several months.  If they are out of stock you can select to receive an email for when they are back in stock.  These will likely sell quickly every time a shipment arrives.  Quantities are limited to 6 packs (2 in a pack) when you do order.

Download the excel lists I’ve created of the retiring items from the Occasions catalog and the Annual catalog.  The carryover sets that are switching to cling are not included.  Stamp sets offered in both wood and clear mount are on the same line.  Bundles are not included individually in these lists.

The best place to see what is available is in the online store.  As items sell out they will be removed from the online store. I’d be happy to place an order for you but an item might sell out between the time you give me your order and the time I can get it placed.  If you have questions please let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them for you.

Stampin’ Blends Smoosh Technique

Today I have the second technique from my Facebook Live video last weekend.  This technique was shared by one of the Artisan Design Team members on the Stampin’ Up! page – I think on the Instagram account.  If you don’t follow Stampin’ Up! corporate on social media you should.  The Artisan design team has amazing creations and fun techniques that they share regularly.

This one also uses the Glossy card stock like my Ink Scrape Technique card.  But for this one we are using a Window Sheet and Stampin’ Blends to create our background.  You’ll also need some rubbing alcohol in a spritzer.  And paper towels.  This could get messy.

Be sure you watch my Facebook Live video from Sunday, April 7th and you can see this technique in action and how I finished this card.

Watch the video here – Facebook Live April 7th

I cut my piece of window sheet to be slightly larger than my piece of Glossy White card stock.  Using Stampin’ Blends scribble spots of color on the window sheet.  I used the dark version of Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch.  Use paper towels to protect your work surface and lay the window sheet down with the ink facing up – spritz with rubbing alcohol.  Now lay the Glossy Card Stock facedown in the ink.  If needed flip them over and you can see where you need to smoosh around to blend the colors and fill empty spaces.  You can see this in my video.

Supply List

  • #142314 Window Sheets
  • #144240 Glossy White Card stock
  • #131197 Bermuda Bay Card stock
  • #100730 Whisper White Card stock
  • #121045 Basic Black Card stock
  • #146877 Granny Apple Green Dark Stampin’ Blends
  • #147030 Pineapple Punch Dark Stampin’ Blends
  • #144579 Bermuda Bay Dark Stampin’ Blends
  • #126185 Stampin’ Spritzers
  • #144220 Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • #148536 Butterfly Beauty Dies
  • #148796 Well Said stamp set

This is another technique that is fun to try in different color combinations.  I tried a few others but this was my favorite for this card.  You will get different results every time.  Below you can see the card from the video as well as the earlier one that I made.

I hope you enjoyed these fun techniques.  Try them at home and let me know how they work for you.

Ink Scrape Technique

I shared this fun technique with my Stamper’s Club last month and have been saving it until I could do a Facebook Live.  Well I was finally able to do that last weekend and now I’m ready to share it with you here.  I call it the Ink Scrape Technique.  I found this idea using paint but haven’t seen anywhere that it was done with ink.  And I figure if it could be done with paint I could do it with ink.  I’ve used Glossy card stock for this technique.  In my Facebook live I shared two different techniques using the Glossy card stock.  It’s one of those overlooked items in the catalog but it can be used for some fun things!

Be sure you watch my Facebook Live video from Sunday, April 7th and you can see technique in action and how I finished this card.

Watch the video here – Facebook Live April 7th

I used one of my Stamparatus Plates for a work surface with the ink.  Put drops of ink on the plate – I used the five colors in the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots and put them in rainbow order – Lovely Lipstick, Calypso Coral, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Night of Navy.  I used a bit of snail to hold my glossy card stock on the plate.  Then I used an old plastic card – like a hotel key or gift card – scrape through the drops of ink and across the card stock.  You can make wavy designs, start and stop to add the lines, etc.    Let it dry and then finish the card.

Supply List

  • #149693 Stamparatus Plates (or the Stamparatus)
  • #144240 Glossy White Card Stock
  • #146953 Pineapple Punch Card Stock
  • #147180 Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Ink Refill
  • #147178 Call Me Clover Stampin’ Ink Refill
  • #147179 Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Ink Refill
  • #103033 Night of Navy Stampin’ Ink Refill
  • #122934 Calypso Coral Stampin’ Ink Refill
  • #146953 Pineapple Punch 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
  • #145739/#145742 Birthday Wishes For You stamp set
  • #119869 1/2″ Circle Punch
  • #101406 Jet Black StazOn ink
  • scrap of Whisper White card stock
  • #148805 Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots

It will be fun to try the with some different color combinations.  Each one turns out unique.  This photo shows the first one I made and the one I made on the video.
