Feb 18, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Cards |
Today I’m sharing a card that combines the stamp set Healing Hugs from the annual catalog and the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog. I thought they paired up well together. The paper is beautiful and has printed vellum sheets that are perfect for layering. The stamp set has some great sentiments for sending well wishes and hugs to those that need some.

This card uses the printed vellum over a piece of Whisper White card stock. And I added some of the fine tip glue pen behind the printed leaves and you can’t see it through the vellum. By the way I have a few tips for you on the Fine Tip Glue Pen – read about them below the card supply list.
Supply List
- #146530 Healing Hugs stamp set
- #148586 Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper
- #148776 Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8″ Variegated Ribbon
- #148782 Frosted Flower Embellishments
- #147111 Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin’ Pad
- #138309 Fine Tip Glue Pen
- #100730 Whisper White card stock
- #131201 Pear Pizzazz card stock
Fine Tip Glue Pen Tips
Here are a few photos that I took of the cap of my Fine Tip Glue pen. I found that it was full of dried up glue and I needed to get that out. Then I used hot water to help soften the remaining glue and get the tip cleaned out until the needle would go back inside. This has helped me get several bottle flowing again. And if you can’t get the tip clear or the needle is broken or bent what I do is use the top from a new bottle – but don’t open the new bottle keep it sealed. And just finish the bottle I’ve already started. The Fine Tip glue works well on vellum.
- The brand new bottle has a seal on it – so take off the top and remove it before use.
- Keep the needle in the tip when not using. Which means you have to work with just a small bit at a time and keep sticking the needle back in. Don’t let it sit open.
- When you are finished tap the bottle on the table hard to knock down any glue remaining in the tip before closing it up tightly.
- Check the cap for fried glue – sometimes it isn’t the tip that is clogged but the cap.
- You can carefully clean the lid in hot water and pull out bits of dried glue – you’ll want to cover the open bottle while doing that.
- I filled the cap with very hot water and would let it sit and then slide the needle in. Repeat until I finally got the needle through. And then filled it and let all the hot water go through the needle to clean it completely.

Hopefully these tips will help save some of your fine tip glue pens. The most important thing is not to let the bottle sit open and let the glue dry inside that fine tip!

Feb 12, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, 2019 Sale-a-Bration, Cards, Demonstrator, PAWS Team, Stampin' Up! Starter Kit |
Know that today a friend is thinking of you. Isn’t that such a nice thing to say? You could use it for so many different things. It happens to be one of the stamps in the Part of My Story Sale-A-Bration stamp set. And I’ve used it here on this card.

I made these cards as a swap for my January team meeting. It’s full of some beautiful products that I love but a pretty simple looking card. I’ve actually used three different Sale-A-Bration products on here – the Part of My Story stamp set for the greeting, the Organdy Ribbon, and the wood butterfly elements. The Organdy Ribbon has turned out to be the most popular Sale-A-Bration item I think in all of Stampin’ Up! History and quickly sold right through the full supply plus two back up orders! I’m still hoping that we might be able to get some more near the end of the Sale-A-Bration promotion so I’ll be keeping my eye open and post on my Facebook page if that happens. If it does it will sell out quickly again.
One of the Occasions catalog product that I used was the cute Gingham Designer Paper which comes in five different colors. And they match all those ribbons in that Organdy Ribbon pack. You can could switch up the colors for this card and make a rainbow of them. Another favorite new item I used was the Stitched Rectangle framelits. I actually cut out a bunch of rectangles for a different card but the neat thing about these dies is they also add stitching on the outside part that creates the frame. Nobody wants to waste cute frames so they became part of this card.

Feb 6, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Boxes, Designer Series Paper, Paper Pumpkin, Stamper's Club, Valentine's Day |
I kept seeing these adorable heart shaped treat holders on Pinterest but everyone linked to a foreign demonstrator with instructions in french. Unfortunately for me I don’t know any french. I finally found one with some photographs with measurements in centimeters so I started with that and tried to convert to inches and round it up to make it even. Played around with it a little bit until I got measurements that worked for me. They are much easier to make than they might seem. So let’s get to it.

I started by creating this version for my Stamper’s Club. This was one of their February club projects and uses the All My Love Designers Series paper. The stamp set I used for my words is Petal Palette. The little box on the inside holds a Lindor Truffle – the strawberries & cream version for Valentine’s Day. Cut your strip of Designer Series paper to be 1-1/2″ wide and 12″ long. Fold it in half. Then put some tear & tape on the end on the outside and curl the two ends together to form the heart.
To make the box I used a 3-1/2″ square of card stock – Lovely Lipstick for this one. Score all four sides at 1″ and snip two sides and fold to form a box. The tear & tape is perfect for this project. Use it to create the box and then use it on the bottom and one end to add the box inside the heart.
Supply List
- All My Love Designer Series Paper
- Lovely Lipstick card stock
- Petal Palette stamp set
- Lovely Lipstick ink
- Whisper White card stock
- Whisper White Baker’s Twine
- 1/8″ hand held punch
- Tear & Tape
After my stamp club made these I decided to make another one as an alternate project for my January Paper Pumpkin kit. I added the Animal Expedition Designer Series paper – which coordinates with the kit and the Baker’s twine to make some of these hearts out of the kit contents.

The box for this project comes from the pillow box in the paper pumpkin kit. The stamp set, ink spot and white label are all part of the kit too. If you’d like to see a Facebook Live video of this project and my other alternate projects from the January Be Mine Valentine kit go here.

- Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper
- Whisper White Baker’s Twine

Jan 30, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Big Shot, Designer Series Paper, Scrapbook Pages, Stamper's Club |
Earlier in 2018 I added some memory keeping back into my Stampin’ Up! business. I used to have a regular monthly scrapbook class but had gotten away from it and I missed it. So I decided to add a scrapbook page to my monthly stamp club. Each month we make one 12″ x 12″ scrapbook page in our monthly meeting. It’s ready to just add photos. Everyone has been enjoying the pages. So now I’m trying to start regular Facebook Live videos and plan to include a scrapbook page once a month. For January I decided to take the page for stamp club and create a second page to go with it. Be sure you watch my Facebook Live video from Sunday, Jan 27th and you can see both of these pages.
Watch the video here – Facebook Live Jan. 27th.

The January 2019 Stamper’s Club scrapbook layout is a New Year’s celebration layout – Gold Foil, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Basic Gray are the colors I used. Watch the video to see the trick on getting the Baker’s Twine added, the little flowers added, as well as some tips on the numbers and the detailed word dies. Below is a list of supplies that I used.
Supply List
- #147003 Neutrals 12×12 card stock (Basic Gray)
- #100730 Whisper White card stock
- #121045 Basic Black card stock
- #146277 Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper
- #132622 Gold Foil Sheets
- #146282 Metallic Pearls
- #141682 Solid Basic Black Baker’s Twine
- #145055 Smoky Slate Dark Stampin’ Blends
- #119868 1″ Circle Punch
- #119869 1/2″ Circle Punch
- #134365 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch
- #144106 Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- #144108 Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
- #104332 Snail Adhesive
- #148551 Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies
- #150609 Well Said Bundle = stamp set + Well Written Framelits
- #101406 Jet Black Stazon ink
- #143263 Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

Cut strips of Designer Paper to 2-1/4″ x 9″, and also cut a strip of white. Then center four strips on each piece of Basic Gray card stock. Use the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine to cut the Black rectangles wit the new Rectangle Stitched dies – don’t miss them in the Occasions catalog on page 28 – these are the photo mats. It’s hard to see the stitching in these photos.
The “hooray” is from the Well Said Bundle. Use the Adhesive Sheets for detailed words like this. Add the adhesive sheet to the foil sheet before running through the Big Shot. Next remove the backing and attach to your page. The Well Written die set will be a great for all kinds of paper crafts – it has so many words and you can combine with the stamps for endless possibilities. Try cutting words apart and combine different letters or parts of the words – I checked and almost the whole alphabet is included in these words.

Jan 29, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, 2019 Sale-a-Bration, Cards, Valentine's Day |
I shared one more card in my FB Live video from Jan. 21, 2019 that used the same suite of products as the projects in the Made to Love Class. You can see the video here. This card was one of the cards available in my Quick & Cute card class this past week. It has a glimpse of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets that are available through the Sale-A-Bration Promotion. Don’t miss out on these foild sheets – they have been very popular already and are likely to sell out before we get to the end of March!

One trick on this card was that I mounted all three of the little hearts from the Meant to Be stamp set on one block. Then I could stamp the whole group at the same time on the Crumb Cake layer of my card. I just randomly stamped the grouping all over to create this layer. Next I added the piece of Lovely Lipstick Foil sheet and then a strip of the All My Love Designer Series Paper.
To finish the card I tied some of the 1/8″ Sheer Whisper White ribbon on my layer before adding it to a Thick Whisper White card base. The greeting is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and adhered with dimensionals over the ribbon. This card doesn’t have to be for Valentine’s Day even though the colors and hearts suggest that.
Supply List
- #148626 Meant to Be stamp set
- #148576 All My Love Designer Series paper
- #148578 All My Love Card stock pack (use Crumb Cake)
- #147116 Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad

- #144172 1/8″ Sheer Whisper White Ribbon
- #144108 Mini Dimensionals
- #149712 Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets (FREE Sale-A-Bration choice)
Here are a few other samples from Stampin’ Up! that use the foil sheets. Place your orders in my online store – order $50 in product to get the foil sheets for free. Each pack include 4 each of the two colors in 12 x 12 sheets.

Jan 25, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Big Shot, Cards, Valentine's Day |
The last project from the Made with Love class was a Valentine’s Day card featuring the Meant to Be Bundle. Included in the bundle is the Meant to Be stamp set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. When you see this set of dies in real life it is a huge difference from seeing them in the catalog – it makes a ton of different hearts. There are so many possibilities with this die set. There are a total of 16 different dies including two stitching dies to add stitching to a background or the cut out dies. You are going to want to order this set of dies – just look at the tons of different hearts you can get from it!

If you would like to see all the projects from the Made to Love class watch my FB live video from Jan. 21, 2019. You can see it here. Today I’m sharing more details about the Valentine’s Day card.
Happy Valentine’s Day

I used a 4″ square piece of the All My Love Designer Series paper and cut off a 1″ strip to give me two pieces. One was for the front of the card and one was for the inside of the card. Adhere both pieces to a layer of Whisper White card stock. Use the 3″ piece on the top for the front of the card. Add the 1″ piece (using the opposite side) to the bottom for the inside of the card. Next on the front layer stamp the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink – I used Happy Valentine’s Day, but there are others in the set that you could use.
Cut a long piece of Linen Thread – about 36″ – and wrap it around the layer 3 times and tie in a knot. After that add the Balmy Blue scalloped heart on the Linen Thread before tying a bow. Then to anchor the bottom of that large heart I added the small scalloped heart (cut from Lovely Lipstick card stock) with mini dimensionals. Be sure to watch my video you will see exactly how I did this.
