Tonight is Stamper’s Club night. I always look forward to everyone coming over for a fun girl’s night out. I love the projects we make and the time we get to visit together. One of the projects we are making tonight is the frame with the Decor Elements. I made one in February for my Mom and probably posted it on my blog then. This is the one I made for me and I changed a couple of things. First I used a different Decor Elements – mine is the “Welcome” – and this is the small size. Then on the butterflies I tied Linen Thread around the centers instead of using thin strips of Chocolate Chip card stock.
Tonight the club members will be making theirs and I hope that they’ll let me take pictures and post them on here. There are a few different Designers Series papers that I used for them and everyone has the Inspiration Decor Elements – which has four word choices so I’m sure everyone will have something different.
The stamps set I used are the Inspired by Nature and Baroque Motifs (on the butterflies). The Designer Series paper is from Urban Garden. The colors used are Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. T
he Decor Elelments is in Chocolate Chip. The butterflies are die-cut with the Big Shot and the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies die – one of my favorite.
For an update on the birds today – the blue bird now has four eggs – we’ll see if there is anothe one tomorrow or if they are done with 4. Normally they have 4-5 eggs. Mrs. Robin is nicely sitting on her nest – here is a better picture of her.
I checked the Towhee nest – mom was out for a bite to eat – and the strangest thing – now there are 3 eggs – one is missing and it looks like the littest egg is still there – I’ll to see if I can figure out what happen with that. Very strange… a missing egg.
Have a fun evening – I’m having girls night!

It has been some time ago that I started a Technique Book. As I teach various stamping techniques I incude a Technique Card with the class. Lately I have been sharing new techniques as part of my Stamper’s Club meetings. Sometimes I include them in my regular hands-on classes. The book itself is a 4×6 photo album. I created a cover for it – I used the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set in Bravo Burgandy. An added bonus to the Technique Book is that we are also building a card stock sampler. Each technique page is on a different color of cardstock and I include the name on the card so you will know what it is.
Here is an example of one we have done in the past –
Two-Step Stampin’ –
In our first two club meetings this time we learned the Stained-Glass technique – which I shared on my blog last month. This month we learned a Faux silk technique.

The stamp set is the Botanical Blooms from the SAB brochure. We added texture to the card front using the Big SHot and the Eyelet plate from the Stampin’ Up! backgrounds 1 Texturz plates collection. The card base is Basic Grey with So Saffron and the Basic Grey Tafetta Ribbon.
If you are interested in learning a particular Stamping technique contact me today about hosting a Stampin’ Up! party for you and your friends and I’ll crated a project especially for you featuring the technique you want to learn.
If you would like to visit one of my Stamper’s Club meetings or find about more about being a member please contact me today. We make some fun projects each month. It is a great way to spend a girl’s night out.
Enjoy your weekend. We have some gorgeous weather here. Ryan and Greg just headed out to another soccer game. Ryan still seems to be sore from his incident yesterday – he says his neck an back hurt a little. And tonight we are having my birthday dinner since we have been busy every other night with one thing or another.
Smiles!

I had hope to get a post out earlier today but Ryan had a soccer game over near Roswell. It was a good game that ended in a tie of 0-0. One key play was when the other team was trying to score and got the ball past our goalie. With two of their players and the ball approaching the goal Ryan came in from the side and somehow kicked the ball out and saved the goal. But as a result he fell and must have hit his head pretty hard (he said later it hit the ground). He stood up after the play ended but immediately fell back to the ground. The ref and the coach ran over to him and I watched from the side line. He got up and the coach walked him off the field – always a good thing when they walk of the field. I wasn’t sure he was going to go back in but with about 5 minutes left in the game the coach put him back in and he did play. As a mom it can be hard to wait on the sidelines when your child gets hurt. But with Ryan being the youngest I had already learned with the other boys it is better for you to wait. If it is bad enough that they need you the coach will tell you to come over. Otherwise it is best to wait and let them take care of it. So I’m keeping an eye on him this afternoon but he seems to be fine – I guess he has a hard head. Ok on to a stamping project……
Last night was my Stamper’s Club meeting. This was our second meeting for this group and I have a couple of different things going on in the club. First we have what I call an on-going project. At the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference we made the cutest box as one of our Make-n-take projects and then made other items to go inside. I decided to take this project and use it for my Stamper’s Club but I’m going to add to it. So at our first meeting we made the
box and at each subsequent meeting we’ll making something to go in the box. This month we made a small box of tags. All the projects are using coordinating products including Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper, Good Friend stamp set, and So Tweet Chipboard. The color scheme is from the Stampin’ Up! Retro Fresh Style Watch – see it on page 10 & 11 in the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book. Next month we’ll add something else to the box.
I’m off to make swaps for our STARZ group meeting tonight. I’ll tell you more about the Stamper’s Club later. Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather here.
Happy Stamping!
