I can’t believe it…. I didn’t know what to say when Stampin’ Up! called last night. I submitted another class entry for the February Sale-A-Bration class challenge. I didn’t expect to win (although they told me I could win more than once). Even Greg said they won’t pick you again. And it seemed like alot more people turned in entries this time – I think January was just too busy with the new catalog many people didn’t participate. But I got called last night and guess what….. I did get picked as one of the winners again. This time they selected 5 projects as winners (last time there were only 2). I still can’t believe it. If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator check out the demo website this morning to see my class, the other winners and about a dozen more that other demonstrators submitted but weren’t chosed as winners – Wendy has one out there too!
So here is a picture:

I have posted a couple of these projects already either here on my blog or on my website – remember to visit both because I don’t put all of the same projects on both. And we’ll be making at least one of these projects at my March Celebrate Spring Hands on Class on March 20th.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day!

Feb 27, 2009 | Big Shot, Celebrate Everything, Sale-A-Bration 2009, Scrapbook Pages, Stamps |
Hi everyone on this rainy Friday (at least where I am it is rainy). At my scrapbook class on Wednesday night we did a bonus 12×12 page using some of the Sale-A-Bration items. I found this page idea on Splitcoast Stampers and changed a few things on it but the layout was basically the same as the one from the original designer. Like I said yesterday sometimes your final project turns out to look totally different from your inspiration and other times it looks much the same. Here is my 12 x 12 page:

SAB Celebrate Page
The colors come directly from Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. The colors are Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and I used Whisper White. I used the stamp set Polka Dot Punches and also the ribbon from the Ribbon Bundle. I cut out a Top-Note with my Big Shot machine and also used the Stampin’ Up! Little Leaves Embosslit. I stamped the title in Basic Grey ink using the stamp set Celebrate Everything (page 132 in the Spring-Summer 09 Idea Book). This set is great because you have so many choices – there are 7 different words to pair up with the word Celebrate so you can use it from many different things. I used a Bashful Blue brad in the center of the flower. Punches used that coordinate with the Polka Dot Punches stamp set are the Scallop Circle Punch and the 5-Petal Flower Punch. I hope you like it – I think this page could be used for many different things including wedding, baby, Easter and more.
Happy Stamping!

I finished up the February Ribbon Share and they are ready to be picked up. If you requested it be mailed to you I will be taking those to the post office tomorrow. I was so pleased with the little bag that I made to put the ribbon in –

Isn’t it the cutest thing! I just love using the Beautiful Butterflies die. First I die-cut the Chocolate Chip card stock with the Top Note die using my Big Shot. The stamp is from the Yummy set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure which I stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder. I trimmed a small white bag to 3″ and used sticky strip to attach in between the two top notes. I used the small oval to punch a hole through all the layers to create a handle. Then I used the Beautiful Butterflies die and the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper to cut out a Butterfly with my Big Shot. I sponged More Mustard ink on the edge of my butterfly and used some Linen Thread to add the body. I put that on with dimensionals. The bag is tied shut with a piece of the So Saffron ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle. I was very pleased with the result – I hope you like it.
Here is a picture of the bags filled with the ribbon:

Feb 23, 2009 | Embossing, Sale-A-Bration 2009, SU Buttons |
Hi everyone! It’s Monday and the kids are back in school – we just had a week long winter break and I’m glad we can all get back to a routine again. Morning came early but we all got up and out the door and no one was late!
Here is a Sale-A-Bration project that I created as part of my entry into the next Stampin’ Up! class challenge. Remember the embossed colored buttons from a few weeks ago (click here) – well I decided to use that idea again on some little 3×3 love notes – I made one in each of the colors featured in the Sale-A-Bration Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper – So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. The buttons using those colors didn’t have the pop of color that I wanted because they were so light. So I turned to my Color Wheel to look at the Dynamic Duos and find a darker color that coordinated. And the colors I used to marker my buttons were More Mustard, Brilliant Blue and Old Olive. Here is a close up of the blue button:

The stamped flowers are stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Then punched with the 5-petal flower punch and sponged on the edges. I think they turned out so cute.

Stampers Club Gift
I wanted to share the gift I made for all of my Stamper’s Club girls. I used the Sale-A-Bration set Yummy along with the ribbon and Designer Paper that are available in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I bought the window tins online from Stamp on This. Inside I wrapped Hershey’s nuggets with the Designer Series Paper – cut each piece into 1″ x 3″. I added flowers using the Trio Flower Punch. I sponged all the edges of the flowers in the same color ink as the card stock. The colors were So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Sahara Sand. These are the colors in the Designer Paper. The tins hold 12 nuggets just perfect. I wrapped each tin with a piece of ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle and added the Yummy tag stamped with Basic Grey ink on So Saffron card stock. Cut it out and sponged the edge before attaching with mini glue dots to the top of the tin. I hope everyone liked theirs!
I’m finally headed up to the craft room today – I’ve been wanting to get up there all day but it just hasn’t happened yet.
Happy Stamping!
