Apr 30, 2012 | Cards, Flight of the Butterfly, Pocket Silhouettes, Retired List, Thank You |
It’s time to bring back some creations with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and the coordinating punch. Both are on the Retiring list – and I really love butterflies so I hate to see them go. Two cards for my class tonight have butterflies on them and I seem to use them all the time. These are some old posts from my blog over the past few years. I also included Butterfly prints which coordinates with the same punch. And some other retiring products on these cards – the Eyelet border punch, Pocket Silhouettes stamp set, and Funky Four. I know it’s a big list and lots of good stuff is on it that we won’t be able to order again – so hurry before you favorites are gone.

Have a nice day!

RETIRING PRODUCTS – the lists have all been posted as of this morning – go to the SHOP NOW button in my online store to see everything. This catalog ends May 31, 2012.
Some things to note –
- Retiring stamp sets can be ordered until May 31st
- Retiring Accessories, Décor Elements, and everything else that is not a stamp set is only available while supplies last – so they may run out of inventory before May 31st.
- The 2010-2012 In-Colors are retiring – Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Concord Crush – if you have the ink pads you may want to order ink refills for them.
- Our Classic Ink Pads are being replaced with a new Firm Foam Pad in the new catalog so the old style of ink pad is on the retirement list.
- Only select Stampin’ Write Markers will be sold individually in the new catalog, they will all continue to be sold in color families.
- All the CRAFT ink is being retired – spots and refills except Basic Black and Whisper White
- 12×12 Textured Card stock will no longer be offered in the new catalog
- Only select colors of 12×12 Smooth card stock will be offered in the new catalog, all colors will be sold in assorted pack by color family.

Apr 19, 2012 | Build-a-Bear, Cards, Retired List |
Now that Stampin’ Up! has put out the Retiring Stamp set list we get to remember stamp sets that we love. I am going to try to mix in some posts where I re-post projects made with some of the retiring stamp sets.
One of the things that I noticed on the list was the Build-A-Bear stamp sets – all the sets are on the retiring list – that makes me wonder if they have new ones or if they are dropping the line all together. Until we know for sure I thought I would share some of my projects that I made with the Beary Best Friends (#118052) and Beary Nice Wishes (#118050) stamp sets.

If you love the Build-a-Bear stamp sets or have part of the collection and were waiting to get the coordinating sets then you better do it soon. They will be gone after May 31st. Here are the sets in the collections:
Bear Hugs, Beary Best Times, Beary Best Friends, Beary Nice Wishes, and Season of Hugs.

Have a Beary Nice Day!

Apr 15, 2012 | Retired List, Stamps |

The retiring stamp set list has been posted by Stampin’ Up!. As we transition from our current catalog that ends May 31st to a new core product catalog that begins June 1st the list of retiring stamp sets is quite long. If you have any of these stamp sets on your wish list order them now before they are gone. And then get ready for a brand new catalog with lots of new and exciting stamp sets and accessories. The retiring accessories list will be posted later this month – I’ll add an update at that time.
If you’d like to see the list – CLICK HERE – this is a pdf file listing the stamp set name in order by page in the catalog. You can also view the list on my website in the online store so you can see the picture of each set – click here and go to the retiring products tab under the SHOP NOW button.
I’m still working towards earning an incentive trip so every order that you place helps me towards that goal!
Thank you!

Apr 3, 2012 | Cards, Easter, In Colors, Occasions Mini 2012, Retired List, Watercoloring |
These are the Easter invitations I made this year to send to our family. We always invite everyone to our house for lunch and an afternoon Easter Egg hunt. Our largest group was around 40 people. This year we have a small group there will only be 14 of us and just two little ones hunting Easter Eggs this time. The menu is planned and the seating arrangements are figured out – now to finish up the decorations and get the house and yard in order.
These cute little cards use the Every Bunny stamp set – it was one of the first sets I wanted last summer out of the new catalog – but I had to wait for so long to use if for Easter.
The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz and wheeled with the Every Egg Stampin’ Around wheel that matches the stamp set – I actually used Old Olive ink in my ink cartridge for the wheel – and I wheeled the envelope to match. Above the eggs the Happy Easter Everbunny stamp is done in Jet Black StazOn – which is also what the bunnies and mushrooms are stamped in so I could watercolor them. The bunnies and mushrooms are stamped on a piece of Naturals White card stock that was cut with one of the Framelits Labels (love them). The images are watercolored with an aquapainter – colors I used are – Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride. I also sponged around the label with the Baja Breeze along the top (the sky) and Pear Pizzazz along the bottom (the ground).
I ripped 1″ strips of fabric from the Twitterpated pack – I used all three prints but just noticed the cards in my picture both use the striped print. I tied the strip with a piece of the Whisper White Baker’s Twine and on some I added one of the Twitterpated buttons. The buttons and fabric are from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini catalog. I really like how they turned out.
Just a couple of reminders April is the last month for the Occasions Mini Catalog – so if there are things you still want out of there don’t let the month slip by before you order them. Hopefully some items will carry over into the new catalog but so far no word on that. This year the In-Colors from 2010 are retiring – Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Concord Crush – so don’t delay ordering your ink refills and card stock so you’ll have when you want to use those colors later. The retiring stamp sets and accessories will be announced later this month and anything on the accessories list is only while supplies last so once they are out – they are out. You can order online on my website or email me and I’ll get them ordered for you.

Jun 19, 2011 | Big Shot, Retired List, Scrapbook Pages |
Today is Father’s Day and I wanted to share a scrapbook layout that I made for last month’s scrapbook class. We made two layouts one for Mother’s Day and one for Father’s Day. Although both are flexible enough that you could use them for various things. This is the masculine layout –
This layout idea was a combination of a couple of different layouts that my friend Wendy designed some time ago. The colors are Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede with Basic Gray in the tools.
There are a couple of retiring items in this layout – first the GoGo Boots Alphabet Sizzlits die set of the Big Shot. I use these whimsical letters a lot in my scrapbooking titles. And then the Sanded background stamp. I have been using it a lot and it really worked well with this layout.
The tools from Totally Tool are stamped with Jet Black StazOn ink and then watercolored with an Aqua Painter and classic ink. Then they are all cut out – that the hardest part of this layout.
For the background – it’s a faux wood look. Use the Not Quite Navy ink pad and pull it across the card stock – starting and stopping in different spots so it looks like the end of a piece of wood. Then I used the Stampin’ Write marker to add nail heads here and there so the boards look like they are nailed down.
All the Soft Suede pieces are stamped over with the Sanded Background and sponged on the edges with Soft Suede ink – and round the corners with the corner rounder punch.
The title letters are die cut and some are stapled on and others are glued on and then I used the marker to add nail heads so they look like they are nailed to the board across the top. I added some of the twill tape on both pages.
Thanks for checking in today. Have a Happy Father’s Day!
