The Moroccan Suite in the Stampin’ Up! catalog is artfully exotic. The suite includes a stamp set, Designer Paper, Washi Tape and coordinating ribbons. You can find it on pages 66-67 in the Annual Catalog. For today’s card I took another idea from the catalog samples and used that with some minor modifications to create a stunning card perfect for lots of occasions. I find that the Moroccan Designer Paper has a masculine feel to it so I can create cards that aren’t so girly.

I used Emerald Envy card stock for the base and stamped the large image from the stamp set in Emerald Envy ink for the background.
At the base is a strip of the designer paper and then its tied with the new Emerald Envy Baker’s Twine.
The sentiment is from the Suite Sayings stamp set – it was a carry over from the Occasions catalog and has an assortment of sayings in a variety of fonts. It is stamped in Delightful Dijon and then cut with the Tags & Labels Framelits.
To finish the card add a couple of the Enamel Dots – I used Emerald Envy for my card, but I think the gold or the Delightful Dijon dots would work too.
Enjoy the day and come back again for a visit.

Have you seen the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog? It’s been out now for just over a month. And it has SO many great new stamps, dies and accessories in it! My Wish List has been long and it has been rewritten many times and broken down into smaller pieces. I tend to be a list person so I make lots of lists for lots of different things. I know my club members also have lists of what they plan to order each month or maybe even one long list. In June for our Club meeting I created a project for them that I thought they would like. It’s a Wish List notepad.

It’s not that big – the notepad inside is plenty big to keep a list of each month. And I added a pocket where you could add a business card – like mine and keep track of purchases for the Frequent Stamper’s Credit. If you have one of my cards – take a peek at the back – you may have missed it. And right now with the Bonus Days going on you could keep a list of your codes in there too. Here is what the inside looks like.

Products that I used include: Labeler Alphabet Stamp set, Basic Black card stock, Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack, Gold Foil Sheets, Sweet & Sassy Framelits, Big Shot, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Gold Thread, Tear & Tape, 1-3/4″ circle punch.
Don’t miss the Bonus Days going on in July – for every $50 you spend between July 7 and July 31 (before shipping and tax), you’ll get a $5 Bonus Days coupon that you can use August 2 – 21. It’s a great opportunity to shop from your wish list, whether you buy your favorite products now or later in August with your coupons! You need an email address to participate in this promotion. And it’s strongly recommended that you save both the email containing the Bonus Days coupon codes AND write down the coupon codes in a safe place. Lost codes can not be recovered and I won’t have access to them.

I have started doing anything with Christmas yet. I know some people are. Question 7 on the scavenger hunt was about the Christmas section. I didn’t have anything to share with you yet – so I’m going to come back to that a bit later.
For now on to question 8 – The Affectionately Yours Suite includes a new “metal” accent – what is it? The answer is Copper.
There is brand new Embossing Powder and Metallic Thread both in Copper. You’ll also find copper in the Affectionately yours Specialty Designer Series paper. And in the Designer Washi tape. Are you ready for the copper trend?
I made this card using the suite but I didn’t actually use any of the copper. I did use the Love & Affection stamp set and the Designer Paper.

There is also some new Thick Bakers Twine that comes in the Cucumber Crush color that is in this suite. I didn’t want it so thick so I took and separated it into the three main strands and then used one of those on my card.
I used the Lots of Labels Framelits for my focal point. I cut two labels the same size and glued them together opposite of each other to make a fun new shape. I want to try that again on another card because I like how it turned out.
A quick card that was part of my Card Maker’s class this month. And I’ll have it available for next month too if you missed class in June be sure to catch it in July.
Thanks for visiting.

Throughout the catalog you will find Bundle & Save boxes that have a stamp set and coordinating tool available to purchase at a discount. There are a whole bunch of them in the catalog. Be sure to look for the box that says Bundle & Save. It will save you 10% off when you purchase the coordinating items as a bundle instead of purchasing them separately.
Question 6 on my scavenger hunt – asked which one was your favorite? Are you kidding – I don’t think I can pick just one. Perhaps I should have asked which ONES are your favorites. I mean really what was I thinking.
One of my favorites is the Ready to Pop Bundle! It’s a really adorable little popcorn box that you make using the Popcorn Box Thinlits Dies and it has the coordinating Ready to Pop Stamp set. I used these to make little treats for my New Catalog Kickoff Party earlier this month.

I used the Dapper Denim In-Color and paired it with the Kraft card stock and burlap ribbon – I filled it with popcorn in our new cello bags. These are so cute and they are pretty small – not so big that you need a ton of candy or filler. So it makes a perfect size for party favors. The boxes are easy to assemble and the thinlits dies has a lot of other pieces for decorating the box.
Some of my other bundle favorites include – Best Birds, Foxy Friends, Jar of Love, and Sunshine Sayings! I can’t wait to get busy playing with more of these.
I’m so glad you joined me today. Let me know which bundles you love.

The second question on my New Catalog Scavenger Hunt was –
We introduced 5 new In-Colors for 2016 – 2018. Which one is your favorite?
The new colors are
- Dapper Denim
- Emerald Envy
- Flirty Flamingo
- Peekaboo Peach
- Sweet Sugarplum
Each year Stampin’ Up! introduces five new In Colors, which are available for two years. So far I really like Dapper Denim – I’ve used it a bunch and also the Peekaboo Peach. Which one is your favorite?
I think Emerald Envy is going to big for the holidays but here is a fun little card featuring it that is not a holiday card. I’m not quite ready yet to think about the holidays. Summer is just getting started!

I used the fun new Hostess stamp set called Love You Lots along with the new Layering Squares Framelits. I love all the sizes of plain and scalloped squares. There are 19 dies in this set!
The Designer paper I used is from the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack. It has three of our new in-colors in it. But I opted to go with one of the black patterns for this card. It looks so good with the Emerald Envy. I watercolored my frog which gives him a lot of variation in color.
I hope you like this little guy. You can get this stamp set free if you earn Stampin’ Rewards – just host a party or place a qualifying order. Contact me for more info – or visit my website – www.monika.stampinup.net.
