Fun times were had at the first Stamper’s Club Retreat in May. I rented us a cabin in the mountains and we went up for the weekend. We stamped, we laughed, we ate, we played games and we enjoyed our time together. I’m already making plans for another retreat for next year! If you are local to me you may want to join. Our June meeting is on the 3rd/4th. And it’s also the start of the new catalog!! Here is more information:
Would you like FREE stamps and accessories? Would you like to get together for a girls night/morning of stamping fun? Do you need a time out of the house? Would you like to try Stampin’ Up! Products before you buy them? Is your wish list a mile long? Would you like to learn new ideas, tips and tricks to make your projects “WOW”?
You should join my…
Stamper’s Club!
Here’s how it works: You sign up to participate in a Stamper’s Club. The club participants get together once a month. Each member joins for a minimum of 10 months. Each participant agrees to spend at least $30 at each of the meetings (plus shipping and tax). Remember, to qualify for Stampin’ Rewards a Stampin’ Up! workshop has to have $150 or more in sales. The larger the group the more rewards the hostess will earn! Club members will take turns acting as the hostess each month. That way every club member receives FREE STAMPIN’ REWARDS SHOPPING DOLLARS and EXCLUSIVE “HOSTESS ONLY” STAMP SETS. Hostess months will be assigned randomly.
At each meeting, you will make three or more stamping projects – usually 2 cards and a 3D project. These get-togethers will provide you with new designs, ideas, and patterns for you to take home and try out yourself. All meetings will be held at my home (so no need to clean yours). The schedule is noted on our closed Facebook group – Monika’s Stampers Club. Each month there will be a Friday night and a Saturday morning meeting time to choose from. Keep in mind that it is okay if you cannot attend every club meeting. (you will still receive your project supplies). Simply contact me and place your $30 minimum order before the day of that meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting and do not provide your order by the meeting date, I will place a pre-determined default order on your behalf. As a hostess you may also collect orders from friends and family to increase your sales and the free merchandise you earn or schedule an additional workshop in your home before our meeting. All orders will be delivered to my home and I will post of the Facebook group when the orders arrive.
I will provide a snack and everyone needs to provide their own drink. Each member should bring their own adhesive and scissors (basic tools). In some instances, I may need to collect a small supply fee to cover the cost of additional supplies to make some WOW projects – I will try to let you know that in advance as well. If you have a request for a special project, technique or to learn more about how to use a certain product I will do my best to include that in one of our meetings. Friends who are interested in coming to check things out one month are welcome, however, they will have to book in advance due to space limits. Please contact me at least 1 week in advance with the names of any guests who may be coming. Guests may either place the minimum $30 order or pay a $15 class fee + any additional supply costs that the members have.
So in a nutshell – here’s what you get when you join the Stamper’s Club:
- The Stampin’ Up! Catalog (200+ pages of stamping ideas) and all Seasonal Catalogs and supplements.
- FREE STAMPIN’ REWARDS SHOPPING DOLLARS (minimum $25) to spend during your hostess month & your choice of EXCLUSIVE “HOSTESS ONLY” STAMP SETS, based on the total sales of your workshop, the chance to earn ½ price items
- Free Monthly Stamper’s Club class, including hands-on projects each month and a snack
- Build your supplies over time and “try before you buy” at the meeting
- Time off from your busy schedule: Friendships & idea-sharing with other stamper’s in a relaxed environment and lots of fun
- I’ve also added a Weekend Retreat at a cabin in the mountains with surprises for all members – dates, cost and the details will be posted several months in advance.

Contact me if you are interested.

May 20, 2016 | Cards, OnStage Event, Scrapbook Pages |
The new Swirly Bird stamp set in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog has lots of possibilities. You’ll be able to use it for a variety of occasions all year long. I had the privilege of making display samples using the stamp set for the OnStage Live event in Salt Lake City. I shared all my ideas by color because that was our “assignment” and how the display boards were organized for the event. Today I just wanted to share one post showing the variety of ways I used this one stamp set.
My samples used only the stamp set and I was very excited to see that there was a coordinating set of Thinlits – called Swirly Scribbles! With the two together you can create such a wide variety of projects.
Thanks for visiting today.

May 14, 2016 | 2016 Occasions catalog, Big Shot, OnStage, Thinlits |
At the OnStage Live event in April I hosted a dinner and treat swap. We met at the Red Rock Brewery which seems to have become a tradition now. In the past we have done a card swap and then on top of that some people would bring little treats to give to friends too. So I thought why don’t we just swap little treat ideas so that was what we did and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Usually we go to Salt Lake City in July and the weather has always been really nice but this time we went in April – weather is not so nice. It poured down rain and was really windy when we were trying to get to the restaurant that night.
There were 20 of us and a ton of cute little treat ideas. I know I’ll be using them throughout the year for various things. A couple I’ve already used since I’ve been home. Today I wanted to share mine with you. I made a little Pooh box using the Pyramid Pals Thinlits. They were so cute! The thinlits are in the Occasions catalog and have a stamp set called Playful Pals. If you order this month (May) you can get them as a bundle and save 15%. They will be in the new catalog but not as a bundle anymore. Here are a couple of the in progress photos:
I worked on the like an assembly line – cutting all the various pieces and then working on one part at a time. All the small pieces I stored in empty embellishment containers until I was ready to add them to my box. I used Hello Honey card stock – I thought that was pretty perfect for Pooh Bear but it’s retiring! So if you don’t have Hello Honey you may want to grab some. The little bow ties are Real Red. Here is a look at the front.

On the back I made a little trap door – the handle is a tiny Pool Party Butterfly added with a brad. And darn it if they aren’t retiring those little brads – I bought extras because I use them a lot. Here is a look at the back.

Inside the treat is none other than a little mini bag of gummy bears! Yummy! I love the real gummy bears from Germany. We always had those as kids and I’m glad they now sell them in the US. My kids got to grow up with them too.
Wouldn’t it be cute to add a piglet and tigger box too. Those will have to be future creations.

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” – Winnie the Pooh
Remember to give someone a small little treat once in a while!
Thanks for stopping by.

May 13, 2016 | Display Samples, In Colors, OnStage Event |
My last set of OnStage display samples feature the Mint Macaron In-color. I thought this color was perfect for this scrapbook page of a photo I took on our Whale watching trip in Alaska.

I used a few on the new products on this page:
- Swirly Bird stamp set
- Mint Macaron Small Striped Ribbon
- Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape
It might be a little hard to see the washi tape – I added it on the Mint Macaron Designer Paper in between the stripes.

This next one is a sweet little card that would be a perfect for a baby – a little sailboat theme for a boy perhaps. Use for thank you’s or create invitations.

New products include:
- Swirly Bird stamp set
- Mint Macaron Thin Striped Ribbon
The next card is an idea I saw online from another demo, an easy way to use little scraps of designer paper or make little squares by stamping on them or adding washi tape.

New products on this one:
- Swirly Bird stamp set
- Affectionately Yours Washi Tape
I did use candy dots on some of these samples and they are retiring – darn it. But we are getting some new epoxy shapes that I hope I will like just as well. I can’t wait to get them once the catalog is live in June.
My last project is the final panel of the Seasonal Calendar.

I used the Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe on this panel with the Sheltering Tree stamp set. I’ll do a separate post with all of the calendar panels and show you how it stands up and I’m hoping to include the pdf of the actual calendar portion in case someone else wants to make one.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you liked all the display samples that I created. I hope I get the opportunity to do it again in the future.
