Apr 23, 2012 | Cards, Punch Art, To-Go Class |
I am going to try something new beginning with my last Hands-On class that was held this past Friday – Garden Animals Punch Art.

To-Go Class version is $20 and includes shipping to your home and pre-punching and die-cutting of most pieces.
What will be included? all card stock cut for projects, most of the pieces are pre-punched and die-cut, instructions with photos on how to create all 6 cards and the box, ribbon, brads, buttons, and envelopes. Shipping to your home.
What will not be included? To-Go class does not include stamps, ink, markers, pre-stamped images, adhesive or tools.
The instructions include a complete list of supplies that I used to create this project. You won’t need them all since I pre-punched what I could and die-cut pieces for you. You will need a few of the punches to complete some of the unique pieces.
For punch art the 2-way glue pen and fine tipped craft tweezers are very helpful.
If you are interested in the To-Go version of this class please email me – CLICK HERE. This class is no longer available.
I will evaluate each class to determine if a To-Go version makes sense and I’ll post the information at that time. This should be a great option for those that don’t live near enough to me to take the class at my home or have a conflict with the class day/time. I hope this provides you with some more options. Have a great day!

Apr 20, 2012 | Birthday, Cards, Embossing, Occasions Mini 2012, Sale-A-Bration 2012 |
This card features a bunch of products from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini Catalog and the new Diagonal Score Plate. The Diagonal Score Plate was used to create the waffle background on the Soft Suede piece.
There is a strip of Designer Series paper from the Sweet Shop collection. I used the Label Framelits to create the Pool Party label. The yummy ice cream cone is from the Mouthwatering stamp set. There are a couple of different things going on with the ice cream cone. The cone is colored first with a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write marker and then thumped with the Soft Suede marker – that gives it the different shades of color. The ice cream was colored with the Calypso Coral marker and then I put a drop of Versamark ink on it and spread it around to cover the ice cream – sprinkle with the Cherry Scented Embossing Powder and heat set. I know you can’t smell my blog post but if you could smell the card in real life it smells like cherries. The cone is cut out and added on the label with dimensionals.
There is also one of the Jelly Bean brads right by the label. and the greeting punched out with the decorative label punch – I thought this one was perfect – “Happy birthday with a cherry on top!”.
I did tie some Calypso Coral ribbon that came from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon&brad pack onto this card – I thought it finished it off quite well. This card was based on something I saw at leadership.
Have a sweet day!

Apr 19, 2012 | Build-a-Bear, Cards, Retired List |
Now that Stampin’ Up! has put out the Retiring Stamp set list we get to remember stamp sets that we love. I am going to try to mix in some posts where I re-post projects made with some of the retiring stamp sets.
One of the things that I noticed on the list was the Build-A-Bear stamp sets – all the sets are on the retiring list – that makes me wonder if they have new ones or if they are dropping the line all together. Until we know for sure I thought I would share some of my projects that I made with the Beary Best Friends (#118052) and Beary Nice Wishes (#118050) stamp sets.

If you love the Build-a-Bear stamp sets or have part of the collection and were waiting to get the coordinating sets then you better do it soon. They will be gone after May 31st. Here are the sets in the collections:
Bear Hugs, Beary Best Times, Beary Best Friends, Beary Nice Wishes, and Season of Hugs.

Have a Beary Nice Day!

Apr 18, 2012 | Chipboard, Sale-A-Bration 2012 |
I saw a presentation a while back at the Birmingham Regional that I attended and then again at the Leadership conference in San Antonio. It was about making a Creative Journal and exploring your creativity. So at my last demonstrator meeting I thought it would be fun for everyone to create their own journal and over time work on some of the creative challenges that were shared as part of those presentations.
Here is what my journal looks like right now –
I used one of the 5×5 Chipboard Art Journals that come in our catalog. I decorated it with some of the Sale-A-Bration Designer Paper punched into butterflies. Added Linen Thread and pearls. I added the words from Loving Thoughts – Dream, Inspire, Create – these are punched with the Decorative Label punch – to make them small like this I punch on the short end close to the word and then stuck that piece back in to punch the other side lining it up with the short end of the label again.
I hope that the girls will bring their journals back to our May meeting and share what their creations ended up being. I saw some of them but didn’t take any pictures. On the inside we will complete different challenges. The first one I asked everyone to do at the meeting was this – “write the phrase “I am Creative” 25 times. Make it look different each time you write it.”
There are 16 different challenges on the list and I’m sure we could come up with others on our own too. I’m hoping everyone will complete a second challenge before our next meeting. Including me! I need to pick one from the list and get busy on it – actually I need to make sure I finished my 25 “I am Creatives” – I think I only had about 18 done when our meeting was over.
A quick update on the birds – I have been trying to get a good picture of the chickadee babies – but they are good at hiding and they are hiding on the side where I open the house so I haven’t been able to get one – I still think there may only be 2 in there – so not all 5 eggs were successful. As for the bluebirds – they have been hanging around the yard and when I checked the other bird house – guess what – there is a nest in there – they must have built it this week. No eggs yet when I checked – so I’ll keep tabs on it. Today it is raining so I’ll try to check tomorrow.
Have a great day!

Apr 17, 2012 | My Digital Studio, Scrapbook Pages |
It’s Tuesday – which is My Digital Studio download day – so like I said last week – I’m hoping to post digital projects on Tuesdays.

This page is about “Our Day” – our anniversary day that is. Last summer we went away to the Tennessee mountains for our 22nd wedding anniversary. These were our “self portraits” – balancing the camera while we ate lunch in the park on one of the picnic tables. This was another layout that I created for Heather’s online My Digital Studio Class – the link to her blog is on my right side bar if you want more information about her online classes.
Many of the elements I used on this page are – Walk in the Park II Digital Kit. I also used Baker’s Twine, Beautiful Butterfly punch shapes, My Friend stamp brush set.
Here are todays newest downloads -7 total.

You can see the downloads each week on my website – in the newest downloads section. You can visit the MyDigitalStudio.net website and see today’s post about the Keep This Memory Photobook template – this one looks like a must have for my collection.
