Dec 10, 2018 | 2018 Holiday Catalog, Cards, Christmas, Designer Series Paper |
I hope you had a great weekend. It has been cold and rainy here – pretty yucky really. But no snow or ice so far. Last year we had snow on this same weekend – and we don’t really get much snow – so that was unusual. Anyway on to our next Farmhouse Christmas Project. I have another card for you that was one of the 8 from my fall retreat. This one uses the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper and pairs it with the Merry Christmas to All stamp set. It was an idea I found online.

This one is easy – pick the patterned paper that you like – if you like both sides of a pattern this idea works well – you just cut off a strip and flip it over for the front of the card. Stamp the words that you want from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set and fussy cut around them. The mixed fonts is very popular right now. Then add a bow with the coordinating twine.
Supply List
- Merry Christmas to All stamp set
- Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper
- Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine
- Whisper White Thick card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Cherry Cobbler ink
- Paper Snips
- Mini Dimenstionals
- Glue dot
This would be a quick one to make a whole stack of. I hope you like it.
Right now we have a year end closeout sale going on. Many items from the Holiday Catalog will be retiring when it ends on January 2nd and some are even discounted right now. The paper and the twine I used are retiring.

Nov 26, 2018 | 2018 Holiday Catalog, Cards, Designer Series Paper |
I hope that you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday with your family. My three boys were home with us for a few days. Then on Thanksgiving day we drove to my parents house and enjoyed the afternoon/evening with them and my brother’s family. It sure was nice to all be together. Now my boys are all gone again – back at work and school. But luckily it won’t be long now before they are home for Christmas.
My card today uses the Country Lane Designer Series Paper from the Holiday catalog. It has pretty imagery and colors but for this card I cut it into little squares so I could use a bunch of designs at once. This would be a fun layout to try with other papers for different seasons too.

The Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss are are really beautiful color combination. And the new Tin Tile Embossing folder is one of my new favorites. If you don’t have it be sure to get it!
Supply List
- Country Lane Designer Series Paper
- Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder
- 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim
- Blackberry Bliss card stock
- Blackberry Bliss ink
- Crushed Curry card stock
- Crushed Curry ink
- Whisper White card stock
- Stitched Shapes Framelits dies
- Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
- A Big Thank You stamp set
- Whisper White Envelopes
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Here is a look at the inside of the card. If my card base is a dark color I like to add a coordinating white or vanilla card stock layer on the inside. For this one I used white and then added a strip of the Designer Series paper to match.

Thanks for visiting today. Be sure to catch the Extravaganza Sales on my website this week. Stamps & Kits on sale for the rest of today – Nov. 26th. Then Tools and inks on sale Nov. 27 & 28. The sales include most items from the Annual Catalog. There are exclusions and limits on supplies.

Nov 10, 2018 | Birthday, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! Events |
I’m still in Orlando and have a fun card to share with you today. I created this one for a Birthday Card Swap at OnStage this week. While the Twinkle Twinkle paper is shown as a baby/kids paper in the catalog I used it here as birthday. With the patterns and the stars I think it’s a fun birthday design. The designer paper is the featured item on this card design so it’s easy to take this idea and use it with different paper. I also made a card like this with some of the Christmas paper but I’ll show you that one another time.

This card uses a 4″ strip of Designer paper that is folded. The outside of the card shows one side of the paper and the inside shows the other. For this one I used the Twinkle Twinkle paper and created birthday cards. Just like my last swap I used the different papers from the pack and created variations of the same card. There are 6 different ones – I switched out the Baker’s Twine and the color of the Starburst punched piece depending on the paper I used. Which one is your favorite?

Supply List
- Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper
- Gray Granite card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Night of Navy card stock
- Gray Granite ink
- Silver & Petal Pink Baker’s Twine
- Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine
- Whisper White & Silver Baker’s Twine
- Twinkle Adhesive Backed Stars
- Starbust Punch
- 2″ Circle Punch
- Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set
Here is a look at the inside of the card. You can see the other side of the Designer Series paper. I added the White panel to write the inside message for the card.

These were the cards I create for the Birthday swap that I hosted at OnStage. I hope everyone that participated enjoyed the cards they received. It’s so fun to see everyone’s different creations.

Nov 8, 2018 | Birthday, OnStage Event, Punch Art, Stampin' Up! Events |
One of the best parts of a Stampin’ Up! Event is staying in the hotel and having fun with your roommates. I remember my very first Stampin’ Up! event – I was brand new and didn’t know anyone. The only person I had met before was my upline and she was staying with someone already. So I had to make a new friend and found someone that needed a roommate for convention that year.
My family thought I was crazy going out of state and meeting a stranger in a hotel and staying there! I figured if I needed to I’d just go find myself my own room somewhere else. But guess what I walked in that door and met Michele. That was 13 years ago and guess what – she is going to be one of my room mates again this week! We have stayed together many times over the years.
Roommates really are the best. This year we have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite and there will be 7 of us rooming together. Members of my PAWS team will be joining me and I’m so excited. I made some cute gifts for them. We often call them pillow gifts because you leave them on the pillow. I started with a totally different idea but it did not come together. So I ended up with this idea and I love how it turned out.

I stuck with the Mickey theme again. After I made the little friend gifts I decided I wanted to make Mickey tags for my room mates. Everyone’s has their name on it and if they want to they can transfer them to the bag that Stampin’ Up! will give us. If all 7000 of us have the same bag you need something to distinguish yours from everyone else’s.
Supply List
- 1-1/2″ Circle punch
- 1″ Circle punch
- Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
- Daffodil Delight card stock
- Real Red card stock
- Basic Black card stock
- Cookie Cutter punch
- Make a Difference stamp set
- Black Memento Ink
- White Stampin’ Chalk Marker
Inside the black canvas mini bag is a Cupcake in a Mug mix and frosting – so we can make birthday cupcakes. Plus napkins, a spoon and then I have the mug. I also brought mickey themed snacks for us – including more oreos and also goldfish. I found those at the grocery store. Now we have to figure out which night to have our cupcakes.

Nov 7, 2018 | Big Shot, Birthday, OnStage Event, Stampin' Up! Events |
Did you know that I’m heading to Orlando, Florida for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event this week? And it’s Stampin’ Up!s 30th Birthday! And it’s Mickey’s 90th Birthday! So this week will be all about celebrating – birthday’s, accomplishments, friendships and more. When I go to a Stampin’ Up! event I love to make little gifts to give to my friends. Being part of this company has allowed me the opportunity to make friends that live all over the world. Most of them I might only see every couple of years. With this being Stampin’ Up!s big celebration year there are over 7000 demonstrators coming to Orlando from all over the world. This year I made some little friend gifts with a Mickey birthday theme.

I found Mickey Mouse birthday oreos at the grocery store and decided to create my little gift based on those. I used the 3×6″ Gusseted Cello bags and put two oreos inside and closed it up with tape. The bags are food safe – in case you wondered. Then I made the little tag to go on the front. The three candles are for Stampin’ Up!s 30th birthday. And then I made Mickey out of circle punches. Finished up with the die cut Celebrate.
Supply List
- 3×6″ Gusseted Cello Bags
- 1-1/2″ circle punch
- 1″ circle punch
- Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set
- Whisper White card stock
- Basic Black card stock
- Real Red card stock
- Daffodil Delight card stock
- Balmy Blue card stock
- Real Red ink
- Daffodil Delight ink
- Black Memento ink
- Celebrate You Thinlits
- Big Shot Die Cut Machine
- Paper Snips
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tear and Tape
I hope everyone likes the little sweet treat. By the way the oreo filling is birthday cake flavored and they are good – and they smell yummy too.
