Tiny Treat Box in Pink

This yummy little treat box was something I made for table favors at the Georgia 2-Day Breast Cancer walk dinner.  We walked our 20 miles on Saturday and then that night they served us a buffet dinner.  We went in our pajamas so we could go right to bed after wards and then get up early Sunday morning and walk again.  This year we had a reserved table for our little team – Trudy’s Peeps – and I wanted to make a table favor for everyone.

Inside each box are three white chocolate covered cashew clusters.  They are yummy and I found them in the bulk section at my local sprouts.  I bought a big bag so I could fill all the boxes and got a very interesting look from the cashier.

I did use some retired paper from last years catalog to place inside the box.  Cut a 2″ by 6″ piece of designer paper and score it at 2 and 4 inches then slip it inside the box as a liner.  The Powder Pink Shimmer ribbon is what I used to tie around the box and finished with the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.

Georgia 2 Day Walk for Breast Cancer

This year I participated in the Georgia 2 Day Walk for Breast Cancer.  It was held the last weekend of September in downtown Atlanta.  I’ve lived in the area for my entire life – not directly in downtown but close enough that I thought I had seen most of Atlanta.  But that wasn’t true at all.  Participating in the 30 mile walk through downtown gave a whole new perspective and brought be to areas I had never seen before.  The first time I walked was in 2016 and two years later some things were the same and others had changed.

The money raised by this walk sponsors programs and research here in Georgia.  I have both family and friends that have or are currently battling breast cancer and it is my hope that by doing this walk and raising these funds that someone else won’t have to fight this battle.

To thank everyone that sponsored me in the walk I made a special Thank You card using the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and coordinating dies.

Supply List

  • Ribbon of Courage stamp set
  • Support Ribbon Framelits
  • Stitched Labels Framelits
  • Whisper White Note cards & Envelopes
  • Blushing Bride card stock
  • Blushing Bride ink
  • Crumb Cake ink
  • Pearl Basic Jewels
  • Big Shot Die Cutting machine

I love using Note cards for sending out thank you notes – they are already cut and scored and you just need to decorate the front.  And then I stamped on the envelope to make it match.

Scare up a little fun

I originally planned to do a FB live today (Wednesday at 3:00 pm) but my little Aspen isn’t feeling well and I had to take him to the vet this morning.  He is still there and I’m waiting on an update so I don’t want to tie up my phone with the live today.  I am now planning to do the live on Thursday at 3:00 pm.  Catch me on my FB Business page At Monika’s Place on Thursday afternoon for a Facebook Live showing you some other cute treat ideas with this stamp set. I’m planning to go live at 3:00 pm EST.

For now here is another little project in honor of my sweet little Aspen.  I wouldn’t call it fun but he did give me a scare – I’m still waiting on some news though.

The little dog on the Trick or Tweet set is all dressed for Halloween.  I found the perfect candy at the store to match – Lemon Lime Twist, Gorgeous Grape and Pumpkin Pie.  It was the Ghoulish mix from the M&Ms.  Since we don’t have a Lemon Lime Twist Blends I did use the Granny Apple Green to color in the cape and band on the hat.

Supply List

  • Trick or Tweet stamp set
  • Mememto Black ink
  • Stampin’ Blends: Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
  • 2″ Circle punch
  • Starburst punch
  • 1/8″ handheld punch
  • 1/2″ circle punch
  • Lemon Lime Twist Mini Ruffled Ribbon
  • Whisper White Baker’s Twine
  • Whisper White card stock
  • Basic Black card stock
  • Gorgeous Grape card stock
  • 3×6″ Gusseted Cellophane bags

Here is a closer look at the little tag.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying these fun Halloween projects this week.

Batty for You

I think I love all the little animals in the Trick or Tweet stamp set.  The first one that I actually played with though was the little elephant.  I’ve collected elephants since I was a little girl so this was one I was naturally drawn to.

There are several new Holiday Catalog products on this card – the Trick or Tweet stamp set, the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, the black glittered ribbon and new Stampin’ Blends in Blackberry Bliss. I thought it turned out to be a fun card.

Supply List

  • Trick or Tweet stamp set
  • Basic Gray card stock
  • Blackberry Bliss card stock
  • Whisper White card stock
  • Corrugated Dynamic Embossing Folder
  • Big Sot Die Cutting Machine
  • Memento Black ink
  • Stampin’ Blends – Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate
  • Black  3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon
  • 2″ Circle Punch
  • Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper

I also wanted to remind you to be sure to use your Bonus Coupons before the end of September.  If you earned them in August you have this month to use them.

Remember I’ll be going live on my FB business page on Wednesday with some more projects using the Trick or Tweent stamp set.
