Easter is quickly approaching and this will be the first one where I won’t have any of my three boys here with us. No nieces or nephew around either. No little kids. It’s going to be a grown up Easter lunch. I’m also not hosting this year – we will be going to Greg’s cousin’s on Sunday instead. So even though I didn’t need any invitations or treats for Easter baskets I did create a few Easter things this year. I previously shared the little box with the chocolate carrot – now here is a bunny card. I actually made two version using slightly different colors.
This is the second one I made using Pumpkin Pie card stock and Peekaboo Peach ribbon. It matched the little box.
This was actually the first one I created and it uses So Saffron for his hat and a Mint Macaron bow.
Here are some tips for these cards:
The base is Thick Whisper White card stock cut to 3″ wide.
Stamp with the Hardwood background stamp using Sahara Sand ink – but stamp off once on your grid paper so that it’s really light.
The hat is a 3″ square also stamped with the Hardwood stamp and glued to the top of the card.
The brim of the hat is a 4-1/4″ strip, stamped and put on with dimensionals. This makes your card 4-1/4″ wide and still fits in a medium sized envelope.
I used the Basket Bunch stamp set to stamp his whiskers – its the flower stem – i just inked half of it and stamped three time on each side of a hand drawn mouth
Eyes are from the Basket Builder Framelit dies – it’s the small leaf die.
Nose is the tip of the Medium star punch.
Ears are from the Basket Builder Framelit dies – it’s the long leaf die. And then hand drew with a marker for the inside of the ears.
Add a bow with a glue dot.
A fun card that goes along with some of the other “pallet” cards I’ve made in the past.
The retiring list is now out – be sure to shop online for your favorites – including this Basket Bunch set and dies – they are retiring!! SHOP NOW.

Hello! I created this cute project for Easter and decided to make a video to show how I made it. It’s not perfect – in fact I didn’t do any editing on the video at all – so sorry about the little outburst from the dogs in the middle. Hopefully I explained it enough so that it makes sense to everyone. Below I’ll include a list of the supplies that I used.
I had this project in my mind because of the little carrot in the Basket Bunch stamp set. Every Easter I buy these little chocolate carrots and wanted to make something combining them with the stamp set. I almost got upset when I couldn’t find the chocolate carrots at the store – I though oh no I finally have an idea and they have stopped making them! But I found them at my grocery store and when I went back yesterday they had even more than the first time I went. Anyway here is my little project –
I used part of the packaging that the candy comes in – it holds the carrot inside my little box. I explain that in the video but here are a few photos too.
Here is the video for you – I hope you’ll take a look and let me know what you think.

Do you like the cute little Tasty Trucks stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure? It’s quite cute! Here in the town I live in we have a place called Truck & Tap. It’s in downtown Woodstock in one of the old buildings – well the tap part is – the bar and the tables. In the back of the building is a parking spot for a food truck. Every day a different food truck pulls in and serves the food for that day. It has become quite popular. Often on Saturdays they have lobster truck come in – that’s the one we like! But this little stamp set doesn’t have any lobsters – I may need to get some from another set and make a lobster truck!
So on to my card today – my truck is a hotdog truck!
These are the parts that I started with –
Dapper Denim card stock base.
Dapper Denim embossed layer – I used the Sparkle embossing folder
Whisper White piece
Tangerine Tango piece
And I used the Tasty Trucks stamp set and created this
Since you can only get the Tasty Trucks as a free item when you spend $50 here is your $50 shopping list of items for this project:
Banner Triple Punch #138292 $23
Sparkle Embossing Folder #141468 $7.50
InColor Markers 2016-2018 #141393 $15
Archival Black Stamp pad #140931 $7
I also used markers from the neutrals and brights. Alternately you could use an Aqua-painter and your ink pads to color the truck.
The truck set comes with hot dogs, tacos, cup cakes, ice cream and pancakes. It would be a fun element on a scrapbook page. I wonder when we will start hearing the ice cream truck in our neighborhood.
Have a great day stamping!

Last weekend I held a Birthday Stamp a Stack class it was lots of fun and everyone left with a stack of birthday cards ready to mail out.
There were three card designs using the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Paper Stack and the Balloon Adventures stamp set. Everyone made 4 of each of the cards. We embellished the cards with Bakers Twine, Linen Thread and Gold Glimmer paper.
I also showed everyone an idea for decorating the Gold Card Tin that you can get free during Sale-A-Bration. I included the die cuts and paper for them to use on their own tins.
Here is a suggested list of items you could order to complete this project and get the Tin for free.
Balloon Adventures stamp set #142823 $26 (or get the bundle with the dies which is $53)
Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Paper Stack #142744 $10
Balloon Bouquet Punch #140609 $18
Card Tine #143833 FREE
Everyone at the class also received a little treat from me. Here is the whole ensemble showing just one of each card.
