I don’t know what your weather is like but here it is cold and pouring rain (we may get 3 inches today)! A really yucky day and we could even have ice and snow tonight – right before Thanksgiving . So instead of heading out today (hopefully all your Thanksgiving shopping has been done) stay inside and do some shopping at my Stampin’ Up! store. It’s Tell Me Tuesday – with new weekly specials and My Digital Studio Digital Downloads, the big Online Holiday SALE continues through Dec. 2nd (check on that day for some more 24 deals)!

I made this quick treat bag using the Chevron bags in the Stampin’ up! catalog. I decorated it for Christmas but you could just as easily decorate it for Thanksgiving if you need an idea this week.
This is what I used to make the Christmas version
- Chevron bag
- Season of Style Washi tape
- Expressions Thinlits dies & the Big Shot
- Cherry Cobbler ribbon
The ribbon is easy to add to the top of the bag. Fold the top over and punch two holes in it. Put each end of the ribbon through a hole from front to back. Now Pull the each end of the ribbon through the opposite hole back to the front. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Do you need something for Thanksgiving instead – make these changes –
- use Washi tape from Epic Day and Witches Brew packs
- cut out Thankful instead of Merry matching the color to the Washi Tape
- use a coordinating ribbon
Fill your bag with cookies or other treats – try a “blessing mix” for Thanksgiving.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your Thanksgiving prep is going along as you planned. So far so good for me. Turkey in the fridge, recipes planned and ingredients bought, house is clean (for now). I need to finish my table decorations and place settings – I’m using the Thankful Tablescape kit and mostly I have it done – just need to get it out on my tables mostly.

Do you need a quick and easy little fall treat for school or your Thanksgiving celebration next week? Well I have one for you.
I made these for all the girls at the fall Stamp, Scrap & Create retreat. A little surprise for them during the weekend.
I bought a bag of wrapped mints – I used to buy York but they don’t package theirs this way anymore – darn – so instead I found some at the local drug store – some other brand wrapped in silver.
- Die cut leaves from Sweater Weather Designer Paper using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and the Big Shot machine
- For the bottom I cut coordinating card stock with the same leaf
- Use Mini glue dots to attach the leaf to either side of the mint
- Tie a piece of jute twine around with a knot or ribbon. I used a left over piece of jute from the Build a Banner Kit.
Make up a bunch in no time!
And just a quick personal note. Today is Kyle’s 22nd birthday. Here is a picture of the two of us from last summer.
My little boy is all grown up! And he will be starting his first real full time job in 2014. I’m excited for him but will miss him since he will be on the other side of the US. He is moving to California. I guess I’ll be racking up some frequent flyer miles in the years to come.
