Thank you!

Thanks everyone!  While I did not have enough to earn the Getaway incentive trip – just a bit short of that… I did have success with pre-paid Paper Pumpkin subscription and have a new member of my Stampin’ Up! Team!

Plus another surprise this morning – some time ago I entered a Paper Pumpkin creation contest where we used the stamps to create new projects – well today in the Stampin’ Up! announcements I’m listed as a winner of a $50 SU shopping spree! That’s always a good thing to wake up to!

Thank you again for supporting me and let’s try again to earn the next incentive trip – I wonder where it will be…..

I need to get my latest projects all photographed so that I can share them with you.  In the meantime here are a couple of product updates for you.

Stamping with Monika
Today is June 30, 2014.
It’s the last day….

For Stampin’ Up! June 30 is the last day of the year.  It’s the day where we are all checking our sales and making sure we aren’t missing out on any rewards or incentives.  So yes that is what I have been doing this morning.  And then I decided to write this email because guess what I’m close to earning a couple of different things but need a little bit of help.  So I thought I would put it out there and see what happens the rest of today. Thank you for reading and if you can place an order, join Paper Pumpkin or even sign up as demonstrator it would make my day (and year too)!

Thanks so much for your continued support!

So Happy Hello Honey

One of my favorite new Stampin’ Up! In Colors is Hello Honey.  I think it’s just a happy color and perfect right now for the summer months.  Here is a card I created featuring Hello Honey –

hello-honey-butterflyI paired it up with Soft Suede on this card.  The background is pretty light but I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and cut a stencil from a thin piece of card board (I used the ones in the back of the regular packs of Designer paper).  I sponged through it with the Hello Honey ink to create a honeycomb background.

The “So happy for you” comes from the new Bravo photopolymer stamp set.  I wasn’t sure I would like the photopolymer sets but I do like them.  I did find though that for me I clean them on a paper towel with some Stampin’ Mist rather than using the Stampin’ Scrub – which tends to pick up ink from all the other stamps I clean and then they stain my photopolymer stamps.  I found that red and brown inks seem to leave a faint stain and its worse if you don’t clean them right away.  I do like that they are see through and so sticky.  I also think they pick up ink well from our new style ink pads but not so well from the older style ink pads – so I’ll be replacing the rest of mine soon I have about half of mine replaced now with the newer style.

hello-honey-butterfly-2I also included a little background sponging and a butterfly on the inside of the card peeking out in the corner.  And if you didn’t notice I corner rounded just the top right hand corner.  Just a little different look I thought.

Here is a list of all the products that I used –

Blooming Prayers for You

Have you picked out a favorite from the new Stampin’ Up! In-Colors?  I have two favorites right now – Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon.  This card features the new Lost Lagoon In-Color.

sympathy

I used two stamp sets for this card – Blooming with Kindness and Thoughts & Prayers.  At one of my card classes this month I had a request for sympathy cards.  I designed it as a sympathy card but with the greetings in the Blooming with Kindness stamp set those that didn’t need a sympathy card could easily make a birthday or thank you card by using a different greeting.
