One of my favorite new Stampin’ Up! In Colors is Hello Honey. I think it’s just a happy color and perfect right now for the summer months. Here is a card I created featuring Hello Honey –
I paired it up with Soft Suede on this card. The background is pretty light but I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and cut a stencil from a thin piece of card board (I used the ones in the back of the regular packs of Designer paper). I sponged through it with the Hello Honey ink to create a honeycomb background.
The “So happy for you” comes from the new Bravo photopolymer stamp set. I wasn’t sure I would like the photopolymer sets but I do like them. I did find though that for me I clean them on a paper towel with some Stampin’ Mist rather than using the Stampin’ Scrub – which tends to pick up ink from all the other stamps I clean and then they stain my photopolymer stamps. I found that red and brown inks seem to leave a faint stain and its worse if you don’t clean them right away. I do like that they are see through and so sticky. I also think they pick up ink well from our new style ink pads but not so well from the older style ink pads – so I’ll be replacing the rest of mine soon I have about half of mine replaced now with the newer style.
I also included a little background sponging and a butterfly on the inside of the card peeking out in the corner. And if you didn’t notice I corner rounded just the top right hand corner. Just a little different look I thought.
