Fall is most definitely here! We have tons of leaves in many colors covering the ground and some still hanging on to the trees. Last month one of the scrapbook layouts we did in my scrapbook class was a fall layout.

I used the Orchard Harvest Designer Series paper and the Early Espresso Coredinations card stock for the squares along the top and bottom of the layout. The journaling goes under the title on the left side. I added some cross stitches in some of the squares – used the piercing template to create the holes in a grid and then stitch with Linen Thread. The acorns are colored with markers, stamped on Very Vanilla, and then punched out.

I have a couple of kits available for sale too. All the cut pieces, punched pieces, and die cuts plus ribbon. The kit does not include stamps, ink, adhesive or stamped images. Kit price is $10 for local pickup or add shipping if it needs to be shipped to you.
I hope you are enjoying the fall – we had our first fire in our new fire pit the other weekend. Here is a picture before it got dark.

Tyler did a good job getting the fire started and keeping it going while we enjoyed our evening. Talk to you later.

I have another Mini Milk Carton creation for you. This will be cute on your Thanksgiving Table – fill with some treats for all the kids.
I made this using the Big Shot – the Mini Milk carton die and Scallop Circle die. Some punches add details and he is done. I wrote a tutorial with pictures of each step – CLICK HERE. I am very thankful for all of my Stampin’ Friends and appreciate the comments you leave and encouragement you give to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Have fun this weekend getting ready for your Thanksgiving gathering.

I designed this fun project for the UStamp with Dawn & Friends Knock Out Punches 2011 online class.
This is a Holiday Treat Making Kit. I used the Gift Givers stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalog for this project. It is one of my favorites! The picture shows the box and then a sample of each of the six Holiday treats that you would make. My idea for this project was to have a ready to go kit full of everything you would need to put together treats for each holiday – except the candy. So once you have your kit created you just sit back and wait for the holidays to arrive – go buy your candy – fill the bag – assemble and give out the treats.
My box is designed to hold enough for 10 of each of the 6 holidays – so there are sections for the large fold over tags, the skinny cello bags, and then the tags, ribbon and brads for each of the holidays. I think it is fun and now I can be ready to mail off treats to my kids, and my nieces and nephews.
There is a complete tutorial for this project in the UStamp with Dawn & Friends Knock Out Punches 2011 class. Click on image below if you would like to join the class. You will go to the main site for the UStamp classes. This one is all about punches and there are over 45 projects with full tutorials – new projects are being posted every day.

I hope to see you there. This is the first of my two projects and let metell you the other one is super duper cute!!!
Have a great day!

I wanted to share a quick little treat that we will be making in my Hands-On Stamping Class today. And I’m learning about my new iphone – I took the picture with my phone and then emailed to myself so I could edit it on my computer. I’m not sure how much faster that is than just using my camera but i wanted to know how to do it anyway.
One thing I did notice is that I need to send a bigger version of the picture – this one is full size and not that big – usually I have a larger picture and I include a reduced version in my blog post and then you can click on it to see the larger photo – this one is as big as it gets from what I sent from my phone. I do think I can choose to send a larger version from my phone – so I’ll try that next time.
Back to the project – I used the new 1″ x 8″ Cellophane Bags in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini catalog. I filled them loosely with Reese’s pieces so that I could close it and then fold it in half. The holder is Chocolate Chip card stock cut with the Two Tags die and the Big Shot. To close it I wrapped a piece of the wide striped Daffodil Delight Ribbon around it pulling the ribbon through the slot in the back of the tag. Then I used a large Rhinestone brad to go around the ribbon and then through the hole in the back of the tag so it would be secure. Trim the ribbon.
For the front I stamped the turkey image from the Gift Givers stamp set in the Holiday Mini catalog – I used black ink, then colored the turkey with my Stampin’ Write markers – Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake. Punch that out with the Curly Label punch. Then punch out a Pumpkin Pie Decorative Label punch to layer behind it. Attach to the front over the ribbon with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You can easily make this treat for any of the holidays using the other images in the Gift Givers stamp set – just adjust the colors to that holiday. Click Here to look at all the Stampin’ Up! images in the set. You can order online at my website store.
Have a nice day!
