Aug 1, 2018 | Designer Series Paper, PAWS Team, Watercoloring |
One of my favorite things to do is to make little gifts for everyone that attends my retreat weekends. In July I hosted a Getaway Retreat weekend for my PAWS team and some other local demonstrators. We had a fun creative weekend together and I showered them with little gifts throughout. This week I’ll be sharing with you what I gave them. My theme was the new 2018-2020 In Colors.

On Friday when everyone arrived they had a sign with their name at the table plus a notepad and matching pen. This was their Lovely Lipstick gift. The notebooks and pens came from the office supply store and I decorated them with Designer Series Paper and tied them up with ribbon and a tag. It was the perfect thing for taking notes on the shoe box swaps everyone shared and for making a wish list!

Jul 17, 2018 | Designer Series Paper, Stamper's Club |
Here is a quick an easy idea that you can do with any of our Designer Series Paper patterns. With a Paper Sale going on this month it would be a perfect time to choose your favorite and make these quick and easy little gifts. This was one of the project my Stamper’s Club made this month.

I used rectangle shaped coasters – plain ones that I bought a while ago in bulk. I’d guess you could find them at a craft store. Or use some heavy cardboard. I covered the coaster with the Designer Series Paper. For mine I used the Garden Impressions paper. The Multi-purpose liquid glue is perfect for this – it gives you some wiggle room to get your paper lines up just where you want on the coaster. For the note paper – use blank index cards or cut up printer paper like I did. Then stamp on them. To hold the paper to the board I used on of the In-Color Mini Clips and made it pretty with a piece of ribbon. It really is easy!
Supply List
- Garden Impression Designer Series Paper Stack (part of the paper sale)
- 2018-2020 Mini Binder Clips
- Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon
- Better Together stamp set
- Night of Navy ink
- Multipurpose Liquid Glue
- rectangle shaped plain coaster

Be sure to come back tomorrow for a special announcement.

Jul 11, 2018 | Big Shot, Birthday, Cards, Designer Series Paper |
I’m sharing a quick card today using the Perennial Birthday stamp set paired with the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. The paper is part of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free sales happening this month. At first this was not a paper pack that screamed at me – buy me now! But now that I have it I have practically used up a whole pack and I’m ordering more today. The nice thing about these little 6×6 packs is all the different designs you get – there are 24 different patterns – you get 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. I’ve been using them up in clubs and classes already this month.

On this card I used one of the more subtle designs so I could stamp directly on it. The strip with the flowers is the same sheet – it’s just the other side of it. Use the Perennial Birthday stamp set to stamp flowers in coordinating colors. Sprinkle on a few pearls just because. It’s a quick and simple card to send to someone special.

- Perennial Birthday stamp set
- Garden Impressions Designer Series paper (part of July paper sale)

Jul 9, 2018 | Birthday, Designer Series Paper, Punch Board |
This week I’m going to be sharing ideas using the Perennial Birthday stamp set. This set was introduced in the Occasions Catalog as part of a project kit that included a box and the supplies to make a stack of birthday cards. The kit is no longer available but the stamp set was a great little set that I find myself using quite a bit. Today’s project is one that is featured in the annual catalog and was one of the project made by my friend Cindy who is now working for Stampin’ Up! She has the dream job!

This project uses the Gift Bag Punch board and the Neutrals Paper Stack to make a little gift bag. Color the white sheer ribbon with drops of reinker. In ink well or pad place 2-3 drops of reinker, add water from Aqua Painter to dilute and place ribbon into the well. Let dry overnight on paper towel before using.
Supply List
- Perennial Birthday stamp set
- Whisper White card stock
- Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack – Basic Gray paper

- Blossoms Elements
- Gift Bag punch board
- 1/8″ Handheld punch

Jul 6, 2018 | Birthday, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Masculine |
I have a quick card for you today using the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper. It is one of the paper packs in the July sale. Last week I shared ideas using the Rooted In Nature bundle and those ideas also used this same pack of paper. It’s perfect for masculine, fall, and nature projects.

I used the Better Together stamp set for the greeting this time. When you are highlighting the Designer paper pair them up with greeting stamp sets for lots of options. The greeting was punched with the Everyday Label punch. Punch an extra label from Cajun Craze card stock and cut it half – attach each half to the back of the stamped label. The label is attached over some of the Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine.
Supply List
- Nature’s Poem Designer Series paper (part of July paper sale)
- Better Together stamp set
- Cajun Craze card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Cajun Craze ink
- Nature’s Twine

Have a great weekend!

Jul 5, 2018 | Cards, Designer Series Paper, Masculine, sympathy |
I hope you had a grand 4th of July celebration with family and friends. Ours was quiet except for the fireworks outside from our neighbors. The dogs are so stressed by them that we stay home. This year I tried some new anxiety meds for them. It seemed to work well for Aspen, he just laid right next to me the whole night. But Magnolia was still stressed and Greg and I took turns trying to hold her to make her feel safe.
For my card today I’m featuring the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. This one is a 6×6″ stack of paper with a large variety of different types of wood on each side of the sheet. It’s a very popular paper pack and was the only one that carried over from our last annual catalog.

I used two stamp sets on this one – Waterfront for the trees and the Itty Bitty Greetings for the words. The words are stamped and the punched out with the Classic Label punch. To get the flagged ends use the same punch but stick each end back in from the side to create the banner.

Supply List
- Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (part of the July sale)
- Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set
- Waterfront stamp set
- Early Espresso card stock
- Very Vanilla card stock
- Gray Granite card stock
- Classic Label punch
- Mossy Meadow ink
- Linen Thread
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
Enjoy the rest of your week. I think many people are on vacation so be safe as you travel back home. The paper sale is going on throughout the month of July.
