Have you seen all the fun items you can earn FREE during the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion? This annual promotion runs through the end of March. With a $50 product order you can earn FREE products. And this year they added a second tier level. So with a $100 order you can get some special new items for FREE! There are 2 level 2 choices – one is a beautiful stamp set and the other is a set of Thinlits. Let me show those to you today.
The Celebrate You Thinlits Dies are one of your level 2 choices and I used the Celebrate on this card. The Thinlits coordinate with the Amazing You stamp set – that’s where the word YOU comes from on this card. But there is also a die in the set with the word YOU. Plus a third die that says amazing. I love the word dies – they make quick and easy cards.
I did use one more Sale-A-Bration choice on this card and that’s the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper. But this card would be fun with any designer paper and color combination.

I’ve been planning to blog all week and I just haven’t gotten to it. My house is a total disaster. We are doing renovations – a lot! It’s a project that started a couple of months ago to replace our dining room table and our sofa. It has grown to so much more and I’m so ready for it to be done. Every room in my house has been impacted. If there isn’t work going on in that room then the room is full of stuff from the other rooms. My poor dogs are so confused. And please don’t open any closets – they are filled right now. I think this is why people move after a certain period of time – it’s too much trouble to do all this work and live in the house with your stuff. We have lived in this house for 24 years now. And we will stay here for a long time.
I hope you are having a great week. I know around here the kids are happy – school holiday on Monday, and weather related school closures Wednesday – Friday. Yes they had a 1 day school week. The weather is making our renovation project stretch out – I had really hoped today they would be done and out of here. But they will be back next week…….
Lot’s of fun and pretty new things inside. Here is a little sneak peek in this fun video.
Did you see anything that you love? I sure did!
I made this quick card using the Picture Perfect Party Suite. It’s perfect for bright and festive birthday cards all year long.
I used the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper, Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and Picture Perfect Party Classic Stampin’ Spots. Plus card stock in Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White and Basic Black Baker’s Twine to tie it all together.
If you are like me the number on your birthday keeps getting higher! The Number of Years stamp set and Large Numbers Framelits are perfect for making the “perfect” birthday card. Because you can celebrate 29 again! and again! and again!
For this card I also used the Embossing Paste to create the background. But this time I created a mask using a die to cut through a Window Sheet. The Window Box Thinlits has the die with the birthday candles. I cut a piece of window sheet that would cover the front of the card. Then ran the die through cutting multiple images of the candles over and over.
The paste was colored with the Lemon Lime Twist ink refill. Then use the mask to apply the paste to the Pool Party layer. While that dries, stamp and cut the 29. The Lemon Lime Twist cotton ribbon is wrapped around the layer and tied with the Whisper White Baker’s Twine. If you pull the ends between your finger nails you can give them a curl – it’s like curling ribbon that you use for wrapping presents!
Tangerine Tango, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist are a fun and bright combination! I finished the card with some Tangerine Tango star Enamel Shapes.
The new Pretty Label Punch is quickly becoming one of my new go to punches. If you pair it with the coordinating Label Me Pretty stamp set (they are available as a bundle) you can make some quick cards and tags.
Today I have a quick and easy birthday card. It’s a great little layout perfect for using up some strips of designer paper and/or ribbon or even use washi tape.
This card features the new Berry Burst In-Color but also includes 3 other In-colors. I used the In-Color Stampin’ Write Markers for 2017-2019 to color the stamped image – Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist.
Underneath the stamped & punched image are little strips of Designer Paper from the Fresh Florals Designer series Paper stack – I used all 4 of the Berry Burst Prints and then added a little piece of the Berry Burst Woven Ribbon. I finished the cards with some Rhinestone jewels.
This would be an easy card to switch out to different colors using other strips of paper that are on your craft table. Enjoy!
Have you tried the new Embossing Paste from Stampin’ Up!?
It is my favorite new accessory product in the catalog. So easy and fun to use. I posted earlier a card where I colored the paste. This one today just uses it as is – white.
The brick mask is a fun one too – it’s perfect for backgrounds. I used just a small amount of paste through the mask to create the brick back ground that is just partially filled in and not a solid wall, like a crumbling wall in an old garden.
The butterfly is just fluttering by. It’s the Watercolor Wings stamp set. Two-step stamping – but really this butterfly is a three-step on the wings. The base layer – the most solid layer is in Soft Sky ink. The second layer – the other edges – is Pool Party ink. The third layer – the details – is Bermuda Bay ink. Then a fourth one is the body in Soft Suede ink. The Bold Butterfly Framelits cut out this butterfly for you so you don’t have to fussy cut.
TIP!!! Here is a tip for you – stamp the wings – all three layers and then cut it out. Stamp the body after you cut it so you get it in the right spot. The stamps are photopolymer so you can see through. I find it best if you can stand while stamping and look directly over the top of it.

Happy Birthday to my youngest son Ryan today! He is 21. Oh my – the baby is 21. While we aren’t with him to celebrate we will do that once we get back together in August for a family vacation. I did make a card for him that I sent to his girlfriend early so she could give it to him. He will go visit her for his birthday.
I love this card! And it is so easy and fun to make. I used the brand new Embossing Paste to create the background. So if you could touch the card you can feel and see the texture from the embossing paste. To make this background I used the diamond patterned mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Mask set. I colored my embossing paste (which is white) with the Lemon Lime Twist Reinker. I put just a little bit of paste in an empty embellishment container and added a drop of reinker and used one of the palette knives to mix it up.
Put the card base on the table, place the mask over the top and secure with some old washi tape. Then use the Palette Knife to spread the colored paste onto the card base. I did a very thin layer and then put the lid on my container so I could make some more cards with what I had mixed.
You do need to clean the mask and the palette knifes right away – or drop them into a container of water until you can clean them. The paste dries very quickly so make sure you keep the lid on your jar.
I used the Milestone Moments stamp set – it’s a perfect set for making all kinds of birthday cards. I also needed one for a 70th birthday but that wasn’t one of the stamp in the set. But don’t worry – if you are careful you can create what you need – I inked up the SEVENT – part of the Seventy-fifth stamp and then the IETH part of one of the other stamps (there are several) and made one that said SEVENTIETH.
I also used a little bit of paste that I had left for the envelope. And I added the card to a bottle of wine that was wrapped up in 6″ x 17″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag and tied with Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon.
