I’m so excited! Today was the day we could register for the Stampin’ Up! convention. It will be in August this year the same week that school starts but I am headed to Salt Lake City! And all three of my roommates from last year are going too – we are going to have the best time! Now to get flights and our hotel…. It’s not too late to join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator and get registered to come to convention with me – call me if you want to learn more.
Stampin’ Up! also announced the winners of the Scrapbook Class Challenge today. I didn’t win this time but my class was still featured on the Stampin’ Up! website! That in itself is exciting! It’s the Butterfly Kisses & Birthday Wishes page that I made for my mom’s birthday pictures. Which happens to be the same layout that we made at my March Scrapbook class – we just used different colors for that one. Both were posted on my blog earlier –

The March Ribbon Share is ready and I’m pleased with the packaging and just love the ribbons. 
I used the new Oval All stamp set and Scallop Oval Punch for decorating my ribbon package. I sent an email out to everyone that was part of the ribbon share.
I had an extra oval left over so I decided to turn it into a little card – it is so cute! I made a 3×3 card.
Supplies:
- Oval All stamp set
- Chocolate Chip Classic Ink
- Bashful Blue Classic Ink
- Stampin’ Write Markers: Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose
- Chocolate Chip card stock
- Bashful Blue card stock
- Rose Red card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Bella Rose Designer Series paper
- Large Oval Punch
- Scallop Oval Punch
- Wide Oval Punch
- Scallop Edge Punch
- 1/16″ handheld punch
- Clear Rhinestone Brad
- Stampin’ Sponge
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
Instructions:
- Fold Chocolate Chip card stock in half to form card base.
- Scallop the front edge of the card using the Scallop edge punch.
- Attach a strip of Rose Red card stock under the scallop edge – line it up with the other half of the card to make an even edge.
- Attach a piece of the chocolate polka dot paper from the Bella Rose Designer paper.
- Stamp the “fabulous friend” image using Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock. Color with Stampin’ Write markers and punch out with the Large Oval punch. Sponge Bashful Blue ink around the edges.
- Stamp the “thank you” image using Chocolate Chip ink on Bashful Blue card stock. Color in the small circles with Bashful Blue Stampin’ Write marker. Punch out with the Scallop Oval Punch. Sponge edges with Bashful Blue ink.
- Punch a Wide Oval out of Rose Red card stock. Layer the “fabulous friend” oval on top of the Bashful Blue oval and that on top of the Rose Red oval. Add a clear Rhinestone brad to the center of the flower.
- Punch two additional Scallop ovals from Bashful Blue card stock. Overlap the ends and adhere together so that it is slightly wider that the Rose Red wide oval. Sponge the ends with Bashful Blue ink. Adhere the Rose Red oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the two Bashful Blue ovals. Attach to the front of the card with snail adhesive.
This set and the new scallop oval punch are going to be a lot of fun! Bird update is in the post right before this one.

If you ever visit the main Stampin’ Up! Customer website – www.stampinup.com – they have a featured monthly project out there. Since many of you just visit my personal website – www.monika.stampinup.net – I thought I would start posting their project on my blog for you so you don’t miss it. I like this one because it uses the new Great Friend stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog – it has the butterfly image – if you hadn’t noticed yet – I love butterflies!
Supplies:
- Great Friend stamp set
- Baja Breeze card stock
- Kiwi Kiss card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Basic Gray classic ink
- Kiwi Kiss classic ink
- Baja Breeze classic ink
- Summer Love Rub-ons
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
Instructions:
- Apply flower Rub-On to Baja Breeze card stock using wooden stick included with Rub-Ons assortment. Adhere to Kiwi Kiss card.
- Apply “Thank you” Rub-on to White card stock. Apply leaf Rub-On to Whisper White card stock. Adhere to card.
- Stamp butterfly image in Baja Breeze ink on separate Whisper White card stock. Trim closely. Adhere to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Repeat step 3 using Basic Gray ink and Kiwi Kiss ink.

Get Connected Notes Class
When: Friday, April 17th
Time: 10:00 am and 7:00 pm
Come join me for my monthly hands on stamping class.
We will be making a desk set that includes a box to set on your desk filled with cards, a matching beaded pen and a bookmark and a note card project too.
You will have cards all ready to help you stay in touch with those that matter most.
Class fee is $15 and if you place a $50 product order you will receive a $10 discount on the class.

Corduroy Button/Brad Share
The new corduroy buttons and brads are a big hit and several people mentioned they wished they came in an assortment.
So here is your chance to get an assortment by being part of the Corduroy Button/Brad Share this month.
Deadline and payment due: Friday, April 17th
Cost of this share: $12 (if you pick it up at my house) –
If you would like me to mail it to you let me know – I’m not sure what the shipping cost is yet.
What you get: one small brad, one large brad, and one button in each color – a total of 24 pieces.
