Jan 14, 2015 | Demonstrator, Sale-A-Bration 2015 |
One of the new products that I really liked from the Holiday Catalog were the Tiny Treat Boxes. They are big enough to put a fun treat in but not so big that you have to put too much in it for it to look full. And I was so excited to see that they were still available in the new Occasions Catalog!
I used them last month to make little treats for my downline, sidelines and friends that came to the Stampin’ Up! Catalog Kickoff event. I filled them with a little treat and decorated them with a piece of Designer Paper, ribbon and a cute tag. I forgot to take a picture before the event so this one was taken inside the restaurant where we met for dinner – it wasn’t the best lighting.
The kickoff event was a lot of fun. They showed a live streaming of the Stampin’ Up! staff at the movie theater so that everyone all over the country could see the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration catalogs at the same time. They even had prize patrol! And then an all attendee give away! I didn’t win a prize patrol but several of my friends did. Actually most of the people that rode in my car were winners – Becky, Beth, Linda and Ginny won – and so did Jan.
I’m hoping that SU does this same type of event for the new annual catalog when it comes out later this year. It’s a demonstrator only event – and if you want to be part of it then be sure to join my team. Joining right now during Sale-A-Bration will get you additional rewards – the starter kit is $99 – which includes $125 worth of product plus during Sale-A-Bration you get to choose between two FREE product options:

For more on JOINing you can visit my website HERE. I’d love to talk to you more about the opportunity.

If you follow my business Facebook Page you may have seen a photo I posted a couple of weeks ago that looked like this.
These are the parts for a swap card that I was working on. I’m in a group that swaps with every new catalog. We each design a card and make as many as are in the swap. Then we mail them all to the coordinator and she sorts them for us and mails everyone back a set that includes all the different cards. It’s fun to see all the different ideas that everyone comes up with and gives me a bunch of samples to put out at my classes. So are you ready to see my card creation from the parts above?
I thought it was a sweet little card for someone moving into a new house or even just some newlyweds. I love that the little house stamp fits inside the arrow of the What’s Up punch! And you can add the little row of hearts to the house if you want – it is a separate stamp in the set. I used Blendabilities Markers to color the house. Did you know you can choose the Blendabilities Markers for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. And this stamp set is also a free choice and so is the Designer Paper that I used. Below is a full list of all the supplies.

Jan 8, 2015 | Christmas, Paper Pumpkin, Tags |
At Christmas time I usually take a little something to a few of our neighbors. For some years now it’s actually been the same thing every year but packaged in a different way. I make them an Almond Chicken Cheese Ball and include a sleeve of crackers. I like to drop them off in the afternoon on Christmas eve and then they can use it that night or Christmas day as a yummy little appetizer. It’s always a big hit.

This year I decided to use the Take Out boxes in the Holiday Catalog – which have also been included in the Occasions Catalog. Inside the box is the cheese ball and the crackers. To dress up the box I used some of the Crumb Cake scalloped Tulle Ribbon – it has been on the Clearance Rack – it was in a Holiday catalog a while back. Cut a piece wrap it around the box and tie in a quick bow. Then I added the tags from the November Paper Pumpkin Kit! Quick, easy and they looked so festive with the blue & silver.
If you are a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber you can still get this get as a refill – just add it to an order – It includes the supplies for the tags and the cards – just not the stamps or ink – but you can use what you already have in your stash. Simply Snowflake Refill Item #136919 for $7.95 – supplies for 8 cards and 12 tags.
Adapt this idea for other holidays or just for taking a hostess gift or a new neighbor gift over. Add ribbon and a tag around the box filled with something yummy to share.
