Jun 16, 2012 | Cards, Demonstrator, In Colors |
This simple card idea came directly from the Stampin’ Success magazine that Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators receive each month. The magazine was “re-designed” this year and has lots of great articles in it and creative ideas.

While getting ready for my last demo meeting I needed one more M&T project. Cindy was at my house and we were trying to come up with ideas – both of us remembered this card in the Stampin’ Success magazine. And since I wanted to feature the new In-Colors at the meeting we decided this card would work perfectly for that. The card in the magazine used different colors and used Designer paper instead of the little stamped images. We let everyone choose which stamp set to use – I used Itty Bitty Bits for mine and stamped the little butterfly and punched it out. Others used Circle Circus and choose one of the images and punched those out. We had the Friendly Phrases stamp set out and I used the Petite Pairs for this card.
I also used this card as a M&T at my Open House that I had at the beginning of the month for the new catalog. And if you need to know what the new colors are – Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse.
A quick thank you to Pat for helping me with my 55 orders. Read more here. My thermometer is rising! Yeah!
Have a great day!

Jun 14, 2012 | Cards, Demonstrator |
I’m going to share some ideas today using the new Betsy’s Blossom stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! catalog. These are cards made by some of the demonstrators that came to my last PAWS downline meeting. I love having everyone join me at my house for these meetings – and while I call it a downline meeting – it is more just demonstrators in my area getting together. This last time I didn’t have any of my downline attend. But some of my sidelines were there and my “adopted” downline come – these are just demos that I have met and need some support. We have a lot of fun and have all become good friends in the process – we share our ideas both creative and business related and stamp together too. Any demonstrator that wants to travel to my home is welcome to attend – the next one will be in July after convention.
So here are the cards from some of the girls –

Linda’s swap

Anne’s Swap

Cindy’s swap

Diane’s Swap
I have more swaps to share from the meeting but all of these used the same stamp set so I thought I would share them all on the same day. I’ll share the others tomorrow.
I want to say thank you not only to some of my customers but also to some other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that have so generously offered to place an order and help me earn my first Incentive Trip! I’m inching closer each day towards the 55 $55 orders – here is the post to learn more. Thanks so much to Eileen, Kathy, Marlene, Dodie, Judy, Yvonne, and Penny who have already placed orders with me. You can watch the thermometer rise as the orders come in – just look on the side of my blog. It was a surprise this morning when Penny called and said she wanted to help me and place an order. How sweet is she! I hope I get to meet one day – those demonstrators that are going to be at convention I’ll hopefully get to meet.
I need to get on with my day – have a great one and I’ll be back tomorrow.

Jun 13, 2012 | family, My Digital Studio, Scrapbook Pages |
For those of you that like designing with My Digital Studio – you need to take a look on page 198-199 in the new catalog at the Collection DVDs. There are 6 to choose from and they all have a collection of stamp brush sets and designer papers plus designer templates. I ordered the Storytime Collection DVD and used one of the designer template pages from it to create this page.

I did make changes to it but starting with a template makes things quicker because all the elements, photos and journaling spots are laid out. I added my photo and then started making changes. Maybe I should show you the original template so you can see where things changed.

So first I had to remove the little strips on the left since they covered up Warren in the picture. And then i moved the curly label punch to the other side since I had more space over there to “hang” something. I decided to replace the papers with some different ones since this wasn’t a school page – but they are still from the Storytime collection of papers. I changed the title and removed the zero. I also decided to use embellishments instead of stamps to add a couple of accents since they were colored in – and I love the little owl and the birds that are in the collection so that is what I decided to use. I think I may go back and add everyone’s name but for now I’ll just keep it the way it is for now. This picture was from 2 years ago when we took a trip to North Carolina – we went out to the town of Blowing Rock to eat lunch and walk around.
I’m still working on my 55 $55 orders – I’ll be making phone calls and sending some more emails next week. If you need something please let me know. Here is the post if you want to see what I’m talking about – and there is a thermometer for completed orders on the side of my blog. I do have some more that are coming but I have a long way to go still.
Oh I almost forgot – yesterday was Tuesday so Stampin’ Up! released some new digital downloads – I still need to go check them out.
Have a great day!

Jun 11, 2012 | Designer Series Paper, Scrapbook Pages |
Hi all – I’m coming along steadily with my goal of 55 $55 orders by June 30th. I have the little thermometer on my sidebar if you want to watch it rise each day. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that has already placed and order and to those that are planning to place orders in the coming days. I’m getting more excited with every email and order that comes in!
Here is a quick post for you today – another scrapbook layout that I made last month – this one was based on a layout in the last catalog – I think the picture in the catalog was an 8-1/2 x 11 layout and I modified it to be a 2-page 12×12 layout.

The Designer paper is now retired but you could use whatever paper that you have and create this same layout. I just cut it into pieces most are 3×3 and a few are 3×2. The background is Basic Gray and then the designer paper is attached to Crumb Cake. I added Pool Party accents on either side. The title is also in Crumb Cake so it is very subtle. I popped up the heart with Dimensionals. Some other options would be to make the title in one of the other colors or pop it up off the page, even just sponging the edges or outlining them would make the title stand out more. I did distress the top and bottom edge of all the Designer Paper pieces using the Distress Tool – which also retired – darn it. But you can use your paper snips and get a similar effect or even your finger nail (maybe not if you just had a manicure – that would get messed up).
I’m anxiously awaiting a call from Stampin’ Up! this week too – I submitted for the Artisan Design Team and they are supposed to be calling all the finalists this week – I hope I receive a call. I wonder how many submissions they received?
Talk to you later…
