This is my prize bucket I made. I had this oval shaped tin for another project that I never completed. I used the So Saffron ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Ribbon Bundle and wrapped it around the tin. I stamped BIG WINNER, GAME NIGHT and the card symbols and punch them all out with the word window – this is the same little detail that was hanging on the card box. I added just a touch of adhesive to the end so these would stay spread out. I tied them to the ribbon with a piece of the silver cord.
And here is the last project – it was another card using the Card Games stamp set that matches the Game Ni
ght set. I saw the idea to use the round tab punch as a card holder on someone else’s blog but now I can’t find it anymore. I found that I liked this set stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with black embossing powder. This card could be used for a variety of things – use the King on the front – it says “King for a Day” and it could be a Father’s Day card or just a manly birthday card. The Queen says “Queen of Everything” and the Jack says ” You Make me Laugh”. You could also leave off those words by not inking that portion of the stamp. We used the new Jumbo Brads that come in the neutral colors – Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Silver. These come in two sizes and this is the smaller size.
At the class we spent time practicing the knot tying on the ribbon. We decided the trick is getting your fingers to hold the ribbon in the right place. It is hard to tell someone how to do it – so I tried showing it and explaining it at the same time. I would try to take pictures to show you but I need both hands to hold the ribbon and I’d have to get someone else to take the pictures – no one is here to do that right now – maybe on another day I can get that done.
Ryan didn’t get to present his creation at school yesterday – he should be doing that today. So I’ll write about that later.
