My Stamper’s Club meeting was Friday night – a couple of weeks late due to New Years and our little snow/ice storm last week. I had several projects planned – the Sweet Pea card that you can see here, a 3-d project I’ll share later this week, a card I found on the new Stampin’ Connection for demonstrators. After getting everything ready I realized it was Sale-A-Bration time and none of my projects were using anything from Sale-A-Bration. So I added another quick and simple card to show off one of the new Sale-A-Bration sets called Happy Moments. You can get it free when you place an order of $50 or more from Stampin’ Up! Everyone loves free stuff – right. I know I do.
Since I needed a quick card I pulled out my last Stampin’ Success magazine (the magazine that Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators get each month) and searched for a Demo It! project – these are quick projects that can be used at a workshop or event – they are quick and that was exactly what I needed. I made a few minor changes to my version.
Stampin’ Up! Supplies for this card:
- Melon Mambo card stock and ink
- Taken with Teal card stock and ink
- Pumpkin Pie card stock and ink
- Happy Moments stamp set (Sale-A-Bration)
- StazOn Black ink
- AquaPainter
- Silver Brads
- Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Staples (not SU)
The stack of presents is stamped twice – once on a piece of Whisper White, then watercolored and cut out. These are attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the second one stamped on the Whisper White piece that is attached to the card front.
Saturday night was the STARZ group meeting – this is our demonstrator meeting that my upline Wendy has every other month. I hold my group meetings on the opposite months. I needed a Sale-A-Bration swap card for the meeting and decided to use the same card but with different colors.
- So Saffron card stock and ink
- Taken with Teal card stock and ink
- Pumpkin Pie card stock and ink
- Chocolate Chip ink
- Black StazOn ink
- Happy Moments stamp set (Sale-A-Bration)
- Aquapainter
- Sweet Pea Designer Series paper stack
- Silver Brads
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Staples (non-SU)
This was my “boy” version of the card above. I added an extra stamped “happy birthday” on this one.
These would be fun to make in a variety of colors with different designer series papers. My strips were 2-1/2″ wide.
