Game Night was alot of fun even though there were only a few people. I think I might have another game night in a few months. In between projects we played Pokeeno and the winner got a prize from my prize bucket. I actually made a prize bucket that matched all the prizes I showed yesterday. I found a metal tin that I had bought for something else and never used. I’ll share a picture of that and the fourth project that we made tomorrow. Today I wanted to show a closer picture of the Game Night projects that were part of my class submission to the Stampin’ Up! contest that won in January. I don’t think I shared the close up pictures of each project earlier. We made all three of these projects last night. If you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator the instructions for all three are on the demonstrator website for you to download – look in the Demonstrator Ideas section.

First is the invitation. I call it a flip-flap card — I don’t really know what else to call it. I saw this flap idea at leadership on a card that my upline, Wendy shared with me. The Saffron flap is attached to the back and flips out to the side and reveals the part that says “you are invited to game night”. The card then flips open from the top to reveal the party information on the inside. This could just be a regular card for a birthday or something else. I have had some people ask where the poker chips come from – those were just punched from the Jackpot Designer Series Paper – and so where the little card symbols – diamond, heart, spade and club – although you could use the stamp that has those on there too. All the other pieces are stamped and cut out – they are all in the
Game Night stamp set.
Then there was the easiest project – the coasters. Just cut 4×4 squares of the Jackpot Designer Series Paper. I use the Anywhere Glue Stick and cover the coaster – position the paper and trim the corners. We covered both sides of the coasters and then used the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole in the corner and tied some Red Hemp Twine through to hold them all together.

And my favorite was the little card box which is actually where the whole idea started. My sister-in-law showed me a box at Christmas time that held cards and envelopes. And somehow – I can’t even remember how – I ended up creating this little card box – it holds a full size deck of cards, a small notepad and a small pencil.
I was so happy with how the box turned out that I had to add some more projects to it and create a class. You could use the box for other things but I sized it perfectly for the purpose of holding the cards since I was using the Jackpot Designer Series Paper.
The Word Window punch works great with this set – I used it to punch out BIG WINNER and GAME TIME and the little stamp with the card symbols.
So it was fun evening. And afterwards I had to help Ryan try to get his project finished. Ryan was up well past midnight and then early this morning trying to get it done. I will show you his newest creation in another post – probably tomorrow – so I can hear how his presentation went at school today.
Have a great rest of the day!
Happy Stamping,
Monika
