Chattanooga Regional My Way Presentation

I am back from the Chattanooga Stampin’ Up! Regional on Saturday.  Boy what a fun and exciting day!  I loved spending the day with so many friends, learning new stamping ideas, and stamping.  And I made it through my on stage presentation!  I really don’t remember what I said or if I was even talking in complete sentences.  You know how sometimes you think something in your head but all of it doesn’t really come out of your mouth.  I’m wondering now if I did that.  Well I’m going to put together a tutorial for the project and post it soon so it will have all the steps and hopefully fill in any of the blanks I left during the presentation.

Here is my name up on the big screen –

And here is a picture that my friend Christine got of me up on the stage –

I’m getting more pictures from my friends but Christine was right in the front row so she got a really good one.  And here are the projects that I showed.

They hung all the ideas up on the board so everyone could get pictures of them.  But I took some pictures at home too so here are my close ups –

Googly Ghouls Halloween treat bags

No Peeking Holiday treat bags

I like to do things in 3s a lot of the time – probably because I have 3 boys so I always buy treats and gifts in 3s and prefer to have the same item for each but in a different design.  These little bags fit 3 chocolate nuggets perfectly and also the mini kit kat bars (I used those in the Halloween treats).  Here are some more ideas –

Snowflake Chapstick bags

School treat bag filled with Smarties – 3 packs fit perfect in here!

And a pretty Sunflower Treat bag – filled with chocolate of course!

I’ll be working on the tutorial and hopefully have it for you later this week!

Thanks so much!

Flowers for Friends

This Saturday I’ll be heading to Chattanooga for a fun girls trip to the Stampin’ Up! Regional.  I wanted to make a little something for all my friends that I will see.  And here is what I came up with – this is my instagram photo –

To make the flower – I used the Big Shot die-cut machine and the Floral Frames Framelits – I used the center flower in the set.  Cut one flower and then score in between every two petals.  Then cut away ONE petal (not two) and the one that is left is glued behind the pair on the other side.  Then I curled the end of a piece of floral wire and poked it through the center.  If needed nip a tiny hole with your paper snips at the base of the flower.  To hold it in place I put a mini glue dot at the base and tied a piece of gumball green ribbon around the wire and slid it right up to the base of the flower – you can just see it peeking out in this picture.  Trim the wire to the length you want.

I used a small cello bag and filled it partially with some beans – then tied it shut with white Baker’s Twine.  I trimmed off extra of the bag that was sticking out the top.  Stick the flower into the center of the bag.  I cut a piece of muslin – I used an 8″ square – pull it up around the bag of beans and the base of the flower and tie shut with some of the ribbon.  I used the ribbon that matched my flower – this one is Primrose Petals.

To finish I stamped a tag from the Mixed Medley Hostess set – punched with the small scallop circle punch (both in the Holiday Catalog).  And tied that on with some Linen Thread.  I’ll try to get a picture of the whole lot so you can see all the colors – I used Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, and also Baja Breeze.

I’m excited about the trip to Chattanooga and nervous too!  I’ll be doing a demo on stage – so wish me luck – I hope I don’t shake too much and that everyone will be able to hear me.  And that I remember what I’m planning to say – I’m going to write out some index cards to help me.

Gotta go……

Doin’ the Happy Dance!!

Oh my!  I’m doin’ the Happy Dance!  You can all dance with me.  Did you see the thermometer?

Look it went over the top!!  With all of your help I have earned my first incentive trip!  I’m so excited.  Thank You! Thank You!  Thank You!

I will be getting emails out to everyone that took part in my 55 orders campaign really soon.  And I’ll be planning a celebration party and give you the details on that, and free class passes, and more.  I placed my final orders today – and that should put me over the top.  I called Stampin’ Up! just to ask if they saw it the same way I did.  And tomorrow the reports should show that I earned enough points to go on the Get-a-way trip.  Thank you to Colleen, Jamie, Wanda, and Claire for your orders.  I hope I haven’t missed anyone I’ve been trying to add the thank you’s to my posts each day.  It’s been an exciting ride these past few weeks with both ups and downs.  I honestly wasn’t sure that I could do this.  But with all of your help I did and that is just amazing and I thank you so much!

Have a great weekend!  I have more Artisan projects to share next week, some new cards, a couple of fun scrapbook layouts we made today and a surprise is coming too.  So keep coming back and visit me here on my little blog.

Please Help Me – Yeah I have what I need!

 Thank you for your Help!

Update 6/29 – I have one final order to put in today and I will be there.  I can’t believe we are getting this done!  This is amazing!  You are all amazing!  I have the best customers, friends and demonstrator sisters – this company is just amazing and just the best people.  I’m doing the Happy Dance!

I have been working hard all year long to try to earn my first ever Incentive Trip from Stampin’ Up!  and I am almost there!!  But I REALLY need everyone’s help – I checked my points this morning and I’m a little over 3000 points away – yikes!  I hate to be so close and not get it.  So I’m sending out one more plea to everyone on my list.  The deadline is June 30 – so only 24  2 more days to go!

If I can get 55 people to place a $55 product order I’ll be able to get there.  So here is what I’m going to do once I earn the trip – all 55 people that place at least a $55 order will get a pass to a free Card Maker’s Club class – and if you don’t live close enough to come to class I’ll send you a class by mail instead.  If you place a $100 or more order you’ll get the pass to the free class and I will pay your shipping on your order.  Plus I’ll have a Stampin’ party in the fall for everyone that places an order no matter what size.

I’ll try to keep updates on my blog posts – right now I have 1 order – so 54 more to go.

You can look online in my store – you can even order online if you like – if you earn free shipping from me I will reimburse you.  You can email me an order or call me on my cell phone.

The new catalog is available as a “flipping book” on my blog – in the sidebar.  Or as a pdf (but it’s a big file).  I also have catalogs here at my house if you don’t have one.

Thank you in advance to everyone that helps me earn this trip.  Thank you to everyone for supporting my Stampin’ Up! Business!

  Happy Stamping!

Manager’s Reception at Leadership

I was excited to get to attend the Manager’s Reception at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference this year.  Remember I went back in January.  At the reception we enjoy a night of entertainment from the Chinese Acrobats.  I think I already posted about that earlier in the year but today I wanted to share a My Digital Studio page that I created.

I used the logo from the event for one of the photos.  The layout idea is from Heather’s MDS class.  The long skinny photo frames worked out well for the photos from the event since everything was tall – all of their acrobats where up in the air.  The guy doing handstands on the chairs.  The girls that were balancing and twirling tables and statues, and then the guys flipping through the hoops – some amazing acrobats – I’m not sure how the can be so flexible and so strong and have good balance.
