My friend Cindy and I were playing with the Curvy Keepsake Box thinlit die a few weeks ago creating projects for the Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat that we are hosting this month. With that on my mind I came up with the idea to make an apple! With school just starting and apple picking season upon us wouldn’t that little box be a perfect apple. A few weeks have passed by and I’ve been busy traveling as you may have noticed so I didn’t get to try to make an apple until this week. I decided to use it for one of my Stamper’s Club projects for Friday night. Look at how cute it turned out –

Here is how I made it:
- I cut the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit die out of Real Red card stock. You cut two pieces and glue the bottoms together – I used the new Fast Fuse adhesive – its sticky.
- Then I sponged all the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink and a Stampin’ Sponge. I wanted it to have some darker areas around the edges on the apple.
- I filled the inside of the box with caramels – of course.
- On the handle I tied some Pear Pizzazz ribbon.
- Stamped “hello Sweet Friend” in Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it with the oval shaped tag that comes with the box thinlits.
- I cut a leaf from Pear Pizzazz card stock using the small leaf die in the Fall Fest Framelits. Glued that to the base of my tag.
- I wanted to add just a little something else to the tag so I pulled out a Real Red candy dot and put that on it. But it made me think of a lady bug – so I decided sure – it can be a lady bug – I pulled out one of my Project Life journaling pens and added dots to the dot and two little antenna for the lady bug. Cute!
- I tied on my tag with some Real Red Bakers’ Twine.

It’s a quick project and super cute!

Apr 24, 2014 | Designer Series Paper, My Digital Studio, Occasions Catalog 2014, Stamper's Club |
Do you ever walk through the dollar spot at Target and look at things to see what you can use to create something really great? I took a trip through the dollar spot back before Christmas time and spent $50! That’s 50 items. What sort of gems did I find? Well one was this little holiday themed standing sign.
I added the holes in it for my project. So it was just something to set out for the holidays – pretty plain really. But I had an idea! I asked Greg to if he could drill holes in it and he said no problem – so I brought him a stack and a few minutes later he had all the holes drilled. Any thoughts on what you think I might have created?
It’s a 2014 desktop calendar! I thought if I could get the holes drilled I could add the cards for each month and make a flip calendar! What do you think??
Here is a little bit of info on how I made it –
- as you saw above we drilled two holes in the stand
- I covered the front and back of the stand with a piece of card stock – I used my Punch Board to round the corners and glued the card stock directly to the front and back of the stand – punch the holes before you glue it down
- I created my calendar for each month using My Digital Studio and printed them on Whisper White card stock. I cut each piece to fit the stand. This took a little bit of trial and error to get everything spaced where I wanted.
- I used Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack to decorate the side of each month. On the left side I also added a piece of card stock punched with the Ribbon Border Punch – it just barely has the little scallops peeking out.

- For each month I used a different print and I alternated the card stock colors each month – I used Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Crumb Cake. After attaching the designer paper I rounded the top corners and punched the holes to allow the pages to be threaded on the rings.
- During my club meeting where we made these I created a “cheat sheet” for them to see which month had which designer paper and what color card stock.

- I threaded all the months on the ring and as the months change you flip the previous month to the back.

- To finish I created a tag in My Digital Studio with the 2014 that I could punch out with the ticket punch. I added that to the ring along with a piece of Real Red ribbon.

- I do open the ring, slide of the ribbon and the tag off so that I can switch to the next month – then put those back on so they stay in the front.
I was totally pleased with how this little project turned out! My stamp club girls made one and I also gave them as gifts for my Leadership roommates. I hope you like it as much as I do and that it gave you an idea for a future calendar project – just take a stroll through that dollar spot and see what you find. Think outside the box and come with something different to do with what you find there.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Mar 23, 2014 | Easter, Stamper's Club |
Have you seen all the little 3-D ideas with chocolate kisses? I originally saw a shamrock probably more than a year ago. So glad that we have Pinterest now to “save” ideas for us. I wanted to do something like this for one of my March Stamp Club projects and while looking at the shamrock idea I also found a flower idea – I decided to use the flower idea for Stamp Club. These little chocolate kiss ideas came from another demonstrator named Brenda Quintana- she has lots of cute ideas. So here is how mine turned out –
I used strips of So Saffron and Wild Wasabi card stock. I added the Vintage Faceted Button with some White Baker’s Twine. And filled the flower with spring colored chocolate kisses. A spring flower! Now to decide if I want to make a bunch of these for Easter.
I’m so glad spring is here. The trees and flowers are starting to bloom around here. The birds are busy. And it’s really started to feel like spring. However I did notice in the weather forecast we have some cold nights coming this week – 27 and 32 degrees – ugh!
Now that I mentioned Stamper’s Club – I working up an email to send out to my email list about Stamper’s Club. It’s time to join! I’m making a few changes and also made the decision to skip April (lot’s going on here). So Stamper’s Club will get going in May again and there will be both Full time members and Part time members. If you live near me then it’s time to join my Stamper’s Club. We make fun projects and cards every month – we’ll be meeting at my house every month. Let me know if you are interested – leave a comment, send me an email – and if you are on my email list then you will get full details real soon.

Feb 17, 2014 | Birthday, Cards, Sale-A-Bration 2014, Stamper's Club |
I saw this fun card idea using the Tag Topper Punch and couldn’t wait to learn how to make it. I did a little searching on Pinterest and found a video from an Australian Demonstrator. This idea was one that I showed my Stamper’s Club this month and I also used it as a swap for my PAWS Team meeting.
I wanted to use some of the Sale-A-Bration FREE products and decided on the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper and the Accessory Pack with the Baker’s Twine. Since I had 3 colors of twine I made 3 different color versions of the card and let my Stamp Club decide which one they wanted.

Crisp Cantaloupe

Summer Starfruit

Pool Party
So let’s see if I can explain (with pictures!) how to do this.
- First cut your card stock to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 (that’s your standard half sheet of card stock) – but DON’T score it in the middle like you normally would. Use a pencil and make a mark on one of the short ends – I marked at 1″. The punch won’t be perfectly centered but that was ok for me. You want the same mark on the other end of the card stock but on the opposite side. You will use these to line up to do your punching.
- Make sure the Tag Topper punch is open and wiggle your card stock in. I have my mark on the right side.

- Line up the little mark with the edge of the punch. If you click on these photos you should be able to see a bigger version.

- Once you are lined up then punch. You end up with this.

- See the little mark to the right of the punch? You should have a matching mark at the other end of the card stock but on the back side. So do a flip with the card stock and repeat what you just did on the other side. If your marks aren’t on the same side then your punches won’t line up since this is not exactly in the center of the card stock.
- Get out a paper trimmer and put one of the punched ends in the trimmer. You are going to cut off the little rectangle pieces sticking out on either side of the punch.

- Now one end looks like this

- score the punched tab that you have left

- Turn your card stock around to work on the other side. I start by lining up the edge that I just created at 4-1/4″ on my trimmer. Score all the way down to make the center score of the card.

- Slide over the card stock to trim away the two rectangles left on either side of the other punched end.

- And finally fold on the two score lines you created – one in the center and one is the tab.
Now you can decorate your card.
This is what I used on mine:
- The card base on my cards is Sahara Sand.
- I added a Whisper White layer on the inside.
- Punch a strip 5-1/4″ with the Ribbon Border Punch of the card stock in the desired color.
- Cut a 2″ x 5-1/4″ strip of the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper and attach it to the punch strip and add this to the front panel of the card.
- Stamp an image – I used Label Love. I used the ink that matched my punched strip. Punch it out with the Artisan Label punch.
- Create a layer for the Artisan Label punch – punch to more in a coordinating color – I used the Pistachio Pudding that is in the paper. Cut each punch in half in opposite directions and then glue the halves onto the back of the stamped punch creating a mat layer.
- Punch a Itty Bitty Flower – scrunch it up to get the layers of card stock to separate and give the flower dimension. Insert a Silver Mini Brad and attach to the Artisan label. Attach the hole thing to the front panel of the card.
- Tie the punched tabs shut with the matching Baker’s Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack. I tied knots in the ends of the twine so it wouldn’t unravel when the card was opened and closed.

I hope that was helpful and that you can now go and make some of these cards yourself. They were a lot of fun and unique twist from the normal cards we make.
Enjoy the day!

Jan 5, 2014 | Envelope Punch Board, Paper Pumpkin, Stamper's Club |
I created this project a few months ago using the October Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Paper Pumpkin Index Card Organizer Box – Monika Davis
The October 2013 Paper Pumpkin Kit had three stamps – TO DO, NOTES and ALL OUT OF – with a Gumball Green Ink spot and then the project pieces to make the Memo Roll. I find myself using Index Cards for many things and decided this would be the perfect thing to use these stamps for. I designed a box to fit 4×6 index cards. I used the Envelope Punch Board to help with the box and the divider cards.

Here is a photo with a few notes on the box –

- You start with an 8-1/2″ square piece of card stock.
- On one side score at 1-1/8″ and 7-3/5″
- On the opposite side score at 4″ and 5″, cut tabs to fold up the box
- on the shorter side use the Envelope Punch Board to make the notch – line up each side at the 2-1/8″ score line on the Envelope Punch Board and punch, then cut away the in between piece.
- I also corner rounded on the corners – see photo.
- assemble the box
- decorate
If you want to stamp on the index cards for each section – I used Gumball Green, Calypso Coral and Basic Gray. I keep it on my desk and use the index cards for a variety of things/lists.
I enjoyed creating this fun project with the Paper Pumpkin stamps. We made this in my Stamper’s Club back in November. I hope you like it!

Jan 4, 2014 | Big Shot, Cards, Christmas, Stamper's Club, Weekly Deals |
Living in Georgia it doesn’t really get that cold here – I like it that way. It’s cold already and getting colder. I suppose most of the country is the same. Here they are saying the coldest temps since 1986! Monday a low of 6 degrees – yikes! Ryan should be going back to school on Monday but I have a feeling they may not have it. I guess we shall see.
I realized I didn’t share this card earlier – it was actually one of my November Stamper’s Club projects! I completely forgot to take photos of the projects we made in November.
It’s actually pretty fitting to share this now – since it is so cold. It’s my telescoping snowman card! He is all twisted up to fit inside an envelope but when you stretch him out – he looks like this –

I used the Circle Framelits to make this fun card! And guess what – the Circle Framelits are part of the weekly deals this week – so you can get them for $20.21 – regular price is $26.95. And I used Bermuda Bay ink which is also on the weekly deals – $4.46 for the classic ink pad. To see all of this weeks deals or place an order – CLICK HERE.
Here are a few more notes about this card –
- Circle Framelits to create all 3 pairs of circles – Bermuda Bay/Whisper White, Real Red/Whisper White, Pool Party/Whisper White
- The bottom two sections were stamped with the Endless Wishes stamp set
- The buttons in the center are punched from Basic Black using the Itty Bitty Circle punch
- The nose is punched from Tangerine Tango using the Itty Bitty Ornament punch
- The eyes are rhinestones that were colored black with a sharpie
- The hat is a 1-1/4″ square punch with two corners rounded and a word window punch at the base – all in Basic Black.
- A piece of Real Red ribbon around the hat.
- A white flower is from the Boho Blossoms punch with a Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine bow added to the center of the flower.
- The arms are the retired snowflake punch.
- The circles are connected with the Silver Mini Brads.
Stay warm!!
