May 6, 2013 | Bingo, Retired List, Stamp, Scrap, & Create Retreat |
I love to play Bingo Stampin’ Up! Style! You can use the Bingo Stamp (it’s on the retiring list) or My Digital Studio to Create the Bingo card. And because it is so much fun I made sure that we included it as part of the Stamp, Scrap & Create Escape Retreat. During the day on Saturday everyone stamped their own Bingo Card using the Every Little Bit stamp set (also on the retiring list). And punched out markers for their board. Stamp each image only ONE time on your card.

On Saturday night – Tyler grilled burgers for us. I missed getting a picture of him – I wonder if anyone else took one.We had a good dinner before we played Bingo.

Then we played Bingo for prizes.

I use the stamps as the call pieces – I just drop them all down in my little SU trash bin.
After Bingo we went out to our campfire for smores – I’ll post those pictures tomorrow.
If you enjoy the Bingo idea be sure to get the stamps before they retire – there is also a Spooky Bingo Bits for Halloween and a Jolly Bingo Bits for Christmas. Get them before they are gone! I can order them for you or go to my website to place an order – www.monika.stampinup.net .

Here are my top 10 favorite things that are on the retiring list – these I plan to keep because I use them all the time –
- #106959 Tabletop Paper Cutter – I use this everyday for all my paper cutting and class prep. You do need to know how to use it properly or you won’t get good cuts. The blade is still sharp.

- #101227 1/16″ Circle Handheld Punch – I use this a ton to make small holes for the Linen Thread, Baker’s Twine, and little brads.

- #107006 Color Spritzer Tool – love this little tool and it provides the perfect solution when you get a little smudge on your card, just add some spritz and it looks like it was all just meant to be!

- #120175 Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder – one of my go to folders for adding a nice embossed background.

- #115965 Fancy Favor Bigz XL die – such a great box die and easy to decorate and alter, perfect for 3×3 note cards too and a nice size for small gifts and candy.

- #115950 Scallop Square die – I used this one a lot, it was popular for the fabric crafts too.

- #117190 Jewelry Tag punch & #118091 Tiny Tags stamp set – I used these together a lot just to add a cute little tag here or there on a project or card – it was a go to combination when something seemed to be missing.

- #115030 Lovely Letters stamp set – this is a great set for anything monogram – pretty but not so frilly that you can’t use it for masculine too.

- #121878 First Edition Specialty paper – I used this on many things as a background, easy to work with because it was a little thinner and fun to add for an old fashioned look – this one is already sold out.
- #118761 Bitty Buttons – the tiny buttons were my favorite – although I did favor the heart and add used those up much faster than the others.

That’s my top ten things and the non-consumable ones I plan to keep as I would use them in my personal projects. And the consumables I’ll have to stock up on our find a replacement in the new things that are coming out.

May 31, 2012 | Big Shot, Cards, Retired List |
It’s the Triple Treat Flower stamp with a neat technique using the Big Shot.
The stamp is one of the A la Carte stamps in the catalog. And it’s retiring today – May 31st. It’s the last day of our catalog. The neat trick on this card is the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder. I found the card idea on Pinterest and a link to the blog with the technique. With the little embossing strip folders this would be much easier to accomplish.
Here are the supplies –

Classic Ink – Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Domestic Goddess Designer Paper (R)
Triple Treat Flower stamp (R)
Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon (R)

I’ll be back later with more. I can’t believe it is already May 31st.

May 30, 2012 | Big Shot, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Retired List, Thank You |
So here is one more card for you for today – this one is a card idea from Mary Brown – that would be Mary from Create with Connie & Mary – I was on their design team a while back for some of their online classes. The link should be in my side bar on my blog. I know they are doing weekly challenges and I need to try to do some of those. This was one of Mary’s cards for one of the challenges and I thought it was so cute. I have just now started using the Domestic Goddess Designer Series paper and there is only one more day that you can order it from the catalog. Why did I wait so long? Well I guess I should show you the card –
I always forget about the little Floral Fushion sizzlit die – and for a few dies I thought it was on the retiring list – but its not – phew….. but of course some of the other supplies used for this card are on the list – you have the rest of today and tomorrow to place an order from this catalog. Then on Friday June 1st will be the transition to the new catalog – we can start ordering at 2 pm our time.

May 30, 2012 | Cards, Pocket Silhouettes, Retired List, Thank You |

These projects that I’m showing you this week are from classes that I have had this month and some including this one will also be in my Card Maker’s Club class which is today (Wednesday). I really like the softness of this card – the idea came from one I saw on Pinterest (so many great ideas not just for crafts but recipes too).
The base of the card is Sahara Sand and then the four panels on top are Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand and Basic Gray. Each one is stamped in VersaMark ink with one of the flower images in the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set – this one is on the retiring list. I sponged all the panels and the strip across the front with Sahara Sand ink. There are two brads on the left and the sentiment on the right side of the strip. I made this a thank you card but it would work for a sympathy card too.
I also wanted to mention that I have a New Catalog Open House on Sunday! Come see the new In-Colors and try out the new ink pads. I have catalogs, Make-n-takes, snacks and more. Bring a friend and come see me. Details are on my website.
I’ll be back later –

May 29, 2012 | Birthday, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Retired List |
Hi – I’m back for my second project for today (my first posted late last night). This idea was also from Pinterest – a non-Stampin’ Up! card idea. This one is great for using Designer Paper scraps.
These are strips of Designer Paper that are rolled up with a little piece of Baker’s Twine glue to the center for the candle wick. Make a bunch of candles and just glue them to the front of the card. Then stamp Happy Birthday underneath. Or add the number of candles for the birthday that is being celebrated. I decided to add a matching envelope made out of the same designer paper using the Simply Scored tool.

It is a bright fun birthday card with the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper. Use a different designer paper to change the look of the card. There aren’t too many different products on this card. The retiring products are marked with an (R).
Designer paper – Big Top Birthday (R)
Card stock – Daffodil Delight
Classic ink – Real Red
Bring on the Cake Stamp Set
Whisper White Baker’s Twine
Simply Scored Tool
Come back tomorrow for some more projects featuring retiring products. We are winding down to the last few days to order.
