Have you taken advantage of any of the My Digital Studio deals during Digital Scrapbooking Days?
There is a My Digital Studio Seasonal Sale with select downloads at 30% off.
Daily deals with a select download at 50% off. There was even a free download on Saturday.
I have added some new downloads to my collection including today’s Daily Deal – Modern Medleys Overlay Kit – it’s only $3.98 today.
With all the talk of My Digital Studio and digital downloads I thought I would share a My Digital Studio project with you today.
Check out this fancy card! It’s a new option for printing called the Artisan Postcard (there is also a scallop card option). If you are designing a card in MDS and plan to print it with this option through Stampin’ Up! be sure to turn on the Artisan card bleed area.
To create this card I started with a postcard template from the Every Celebration Hostess Ensemble — yes there is a digital download hostess option. This is what the postcard template looks like
It’s actually an invitation. I copied the top and flipped and mirrored it to add it to the bottom of the card. Then I changed the words to add phrases related to birthdays so that it would be a birthday card. I sent it off to Stampin’ Up! to print it as an Artisan card.
Here is a look at the Every Celebration Hostess Ensemble –
Next time you are a Stampin’ Up! hostess you can choose this for part of your hostess dollars.
Visit my online store to see all the digital downloads we have available including the ones on sale. Tomorrow is Tuesday so there should be some new releases too. Also visit MyDigitalStudio.net to see tomorrows daily deal.
Thanks for visiting today!

Oct 26, 2013 | Big Shot, My Digital Studio, Stamp, Scrap, & Create Retreat |
About two weeks ago I posted a few pictures on my Facebook Business page showing some wood that Greg helped me cut and then Becky helped me paint. Do you want to see what that wood made? Here it is:

It’s a cute project – perfect to put on display somewhere at home or work. This is actually a My Digital Studio Hybrid project that Cindy and I created for our first retreat this past spring. I used it for a Stamp Club project this month and everyone loved it.
I bought myself some 2x4s and brought them home. Greg got out his saw and cut them to size for me.
Then Becky came over one day and we got them sanded and painted and ready to decorate.
As I’m writing this I see that this was a group project! Back in the spring Cindy designed the My Digital Studio Postcards. The pieces were designed as three different 4×9 postcards and printed through Stampin’ Up!. Then they were trimmed to fit the wood blocks. The first card on the small block – was cut in half so each card was enough for two projects.

The postcards were trimmed to fit the wood blocks – and glued on with Multi-purpose Liquid Glue. Now to add the hybrid pieces. For the top block this is what was used:
- Big Shot Die Cut Machine
- Fun Flowers Bigz XL die
- Primrose Petals card stock
- Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
- Button – in the spring we used the Sale-A-Bration buttons, this time we used the Subtles Designer buttons
- Island Indigo Baker’s Twine
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
For the center block this is what was added:
- Primrose Petals Card stock
- Strip trimmed from the first post card
- Big Shot Die Cut Machine
- Hearts A Flutter Framelit Dies
- Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
- Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
- Basic Pearls
The bottom block didn’t have any additional hybrid elements added. Once the blocks are finished – stack them up for a cute display!

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay warm this weekend. We just had our coldest night – it felt more like December than October.

Sep 12, 2013 | family, My Digital Studio, Scrapbook Pages |
Everyone has probably had their first day of school now. I counted for us we have had the first day of school 17 times now – that’s 17 years since Kyle started Kindergarten. And my thoughts on the first day of school are not the same now as they were way back then. Kyle has gone back to college (he is now working on a Master’s degree) and left lots of stuff in his room and a closet so jam packed with stuff you couldn’t get anything in or out. So I decided to take everything out of the closet and hopefully get rid of some stuff and reorganize it a minimum. After pulling everything out I took a picture. Later in the day I created a scrapbook page and decided to use that picture along with my thoughts on the first day of school now. I’m usually terrible about journaling but I’m trying to learn to be better – I need to remember to journal as though I’m talking to someone – telling someone a story or answering a question. So this page is mostly about the journaling.

The My Digital Studio Elements I used on this page include
- See Ya Next Year Designer Kit
- Days to Remember Designer Kit
- Epic Overlays stamp brush set
- Storytime Designer Kit
- Square Punch
I counted the books that I found in Kyle’s room when I sorted them yesterday – 180 – and there could be more hidden that I haven’t come across yet. Now to decide what to tackle next – the games or the computer parts.
I also submitted this page in the My Digital Studio Challenge (although it might have been late – unless they extended the deadline) – go give it a like and leave me a comment – maybe I can win the challenge. Here is the link for you.

Thanks.
Enjoy the day!

I wanted to share some My Digital Studio layouts with you today. I am finishing up the Germany album from my trip in May. I’m working on the last few pages. It is a big book – going to end up around 60 pages. I plan to print 4 copies – one for myself, one for my parents, one for my brother and one for my uncle. There is no way I could have made traditional scrapbooks for this trip – so I’m very happy to have My Digital Studio as an option.
I have two different 2-page layouts – one is my dad’s hometown visit and one is my mom’s. Both grew up in Berlin, Germany. My dad was a bit outside the city in a smaller town near a lake. And my mom was in the city. Here is my Dad’s hometown layout.

The day we went to see where my mom grew it up it poured down rain. We didn’t get to see as much as we had planned, but we did get out . Here is my mom’s two page layout.

You can click on each image to see a larger version and read the journaling if you are interested. My Digital Studio is at price you can’t beat – $19.95 – gets you the full program and tons of digital content to get you started. You spend that much on dinner and it will be gone in a few minute, you can spend that on My Digital Studio and preserve your family memories for a lifetime! I’m so excited to finish this book but I keep coming up with more pages to add. I’m down to the last day and we did so much it’s taking me multiple 2 page spreads just to cover that one day. Then I want to add a layout about all the food we ate and the restaurants we went to. A layout with all our modes of transportation, and one about all the grafitti. And I want to add a family tree page to show everyone we saw from my mom’s side of the family on the trip. So I’m getting close but not quite done.
My Digital Studio is available as a Digital Download – order in my online store, download and get started today. Or order the disc (you’ll have to add shipping & tax and wait on it to ship to you). You can shop online for either version here at my website Online Store. There is even a website just for My Digital Studio users – MyDigitalStudio.net – you can find out lots of information there – what print products are available, training videos, samples, challenges, blog postings, discussion forums.
