May Quick & Cute Cards Online
On Sunday afternoon I had an online class showing some last chance items and I thought I’d post real quick the cards I made. If you want to see the videos and project supplies, etc. you’ll want to join the FB group that the class was held in – At Monika’s Place: May Quick & Cute Cards Online.
Card 1 – Stitched All Around
This first card idea came from my friend Cindy – I loved how the background is made with Stampin’ Blends. You may see the Stampin’ Blends on the Last Chance list but they will be in the new catalog. Going forward they will be offered in combo packs only – so you get the light and dark Blends for a color together. The Stitched All Around stamp set and the Stitched Labels dies are both retiring. And so is the Whisper White Baker’s Twine – why did they do that? It is a staple in my craft room.
Card 2 – Birthday Backgrounds
This card idea is from my friend Melody. It uses some great birthday sets that are retiring – Birthday Backgrounds and Perennial Birthday. The color palette is from the Glitter Enamel Dots which are also on the retirement list. And the White Baker’s Twine – I’m so sad.
Card 3 – Mosaic Vases
These fun cards use the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series paper. It has a fun mosaic tile design with shiny embossed accents. The paper is retiring and so are the Hand Lettered Prose dies that I used to cut out the THANKS. The Flower Faceted Gems are retiring too – they match perfectly to the Mosaic paper. The stamp set I used is Varied Vases which unfortunately is sold out already. But the Vibrant Vases could also be used. The Vase Builder punch will be in the new catalog.
Card 4 – Magnolia Memories & More card
And this quick card uses the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and the Cards & Envelopes that coordinate. No stamping on this one. Really quick to put something together with the Memories & More products.

Late in November I held a Santa’s Workshop Bingo event. It was so much fun! The theme was Santa’s Workshop and I used products from the very popular Santa’s Workshop Suite in the Holiday Catalog. Everyone received a good bag full of supplies for their projects and lots of extras to take home. We had stamping and played some bingo for prizes. Yummy little snacks to eat and it lots of laughter and fun. It was perfect afternoon to start the Christmas season.
One of the projects that everyone made was this Santa’s Workshop Note pad. I use lots of note pads – I’m a list person. And this time of year there are lists for everything. So this was not only cute but a practical project too.
I found notepads at the office supply store and measured those and then measured a piece of card stock to fold around it. Don’t forget to include the depth of the spine and any over hang you want. Then I decorated the front with a strip of paper from the Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Series paper and a card from the Santa’s Workshop Memories & More card pack. It’s tied shut with a piece of the Poppy Parade ribbon.

I used some paper and one of the stickers from the Memories & More card pack to decorate the little note pad. Then attach it with Tear & Tape to the inside. Tie the the cover shut with the ribbon and then slip in your favorite holiday pencil. There are a variety of stickers in the Memories & More card pack – use those to decorate your pages as desired.

Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel…..that leaves the last one – Pineapple Punch. I originally found a cute canvas bag with a pineapple on it that I had planned to give everyone at the Getaway but I wasn’t able to find enough of them. So I had to go to plan B. Which in the end was better. The perfect match to our Pineapple Punch color was these cute little pails. All that I needed to do was dress them up and fill them with something fun.
I used the Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack to decorate the pails. Everyone received the rest of the pack in their goody bag. I have mine set aside to make a stack of cards with. Did you know that the Memories & More card packs aren’t just for Memory Keeping? That’s why there is “more” in the title. Each card pack is also suited for greeting cards and paired up with the new Whisper White Memories & More Cards & Envelopes you can crank out some cards without even having to cut or stamp anything.

Inside each pail was yellow piece of rock candy. My photo has a blue one because I was short a yellow one, so I got blue for myself and then forgot to get the photo before I gave all the yellow ones away. I had hoped to find pineapple flavored ones but all the yellow ones were actually lemon. Then the week after I was in the store and found Pineapple flavored kisses – they even had little pineapples on the foil. Those would have been a perfect fit too. Darn it.
