The Moroccan Suite in the Stampin’ Up! catalog is artfully exotic. The suite includes a stamp set, Designer Paper, Washi Tape and coordinating ribbons. You can find it on pages 66-67 in the Annual Catalog. For today’s card I took another idea from the catalog samples and used that with some minor modifications to create a stunning card perfect for lots of occasions. I find that the Moroccan Designer Paper has a masculine feel to it so I can create cards that aren’t so girly.

I used Emerald Envy card stock for the base and stamped the large image from the stamp set in Emerald Envy ink for the background.
At the base is a strip of the designer paper and then its tied with the new Emerald Envy Baker’s Twine.
The sentiment is from the Suite Sayings stamp set – it was a carry over from the Occasions catalog and has an assortment of sayings in a variety of fonts. It is stamped in Delightful Dijon and then cut with the Tags & Labels Framelits.
To finish the card add a couple of the Enamel Dots – I used Emerald Envy for my card, but I think the gold or the Delightful Dijon dots would work too.
Enjoy the day and come back again for a visit.
Remember if you earned Bonus Days Coupons in July that you need to redeem them in August!

Quick & Easy cards are favorites for many people. I often look at ideas in the Stampin’ Up! catalog and then make a few changes to the colors and/or stamp set and ta-da I have a new quick & easy card. If you look throughout the catalog there are ideas marked “Quick & Easy” and some include You Can Make It supply lists so you know exactly what was used.
I found the Quick & Easy card on page 41 in the annual catalog. It however used a stamp set that I didn’t have. So I switched it for a different one and created this.

I kept the colors the same – Emerald Envy, Very Vanilla, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso.
I used the same layout – but flipped it to be landscape instead of portrait.
I used the same washi tape – Moroccan Designer Washi Tape.
I used the same punch – Petite Petals Punch.
I even used the same technique on the flower – scrunch it up to break down the fibers in the card stock giving it some dimension.
I used a different stamp set. For my card I used the Rose Wonder stamp set.
And I left off the Bakers Twine.
What do you think? Can you use that card from the catalog and create another version for yourself? It’s Quick & Easy!

This stamp set is not a new one – it was actually in the catalog last year, but I never bought it. Often when I saw cards that I liked they had these nice big words on them and I’d look through the catalog to see where they came from – it was this stamp set – Watercolor Words. I’d add it to my list but it would get bumped for something else. Then I’d be working on something and wish that I had it. Well I finally corrected that problem and ordered it! Now look at this sweet card that I made with it…

I used one of our brand new in-colors – Peekaboo Peach. I paired it with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive – some old favorites. It makes a pretty color combination.
The Washi Tape is from the Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape Bundle and then I added one of the little Enamel Shapes to the center of the flower – so cute!
In case you wondered about the flower stem – I drew it with the Stampin’ Write Marker. I kept looking for a stem in the stamp set but there isn’t one. It’s easy enough just to make a long swoosh with the fat end of the marker to create the stem.
Don’t forget about Bonus Days going on right now – here is a suggestion for a $50 order for you –
- Watercolor Words – $26
- 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes – $9
- Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape – $8
- Old Olive Baker’s Twine – $3
- and ink pad or pack of card stock

Jun 30, 2016 | Cards, Shaker Card |
Something that is going to be really fun this year is making shaker cards. You know the ones that have a window and behind it there are sequins, or punched shapes that move around. Stampin’ Up! finally added Foam Adhesive Strips to our product line and they are PERFECT for shaker cards.
Here is one that I made in Red, White and Blue – just in time for the 4th of July holiday coming up here in the USA.

Dapper Denim, Real Red, Whisper White and a pinch of glittery silver make this a fun card.
I used the new Confetti Celebrations stamp set and the Sprinkles punch. I punched sprinkles out of the Denim, the Red and Silver Glimmer paper. I also used the new Thick Whisper White Baker’s Twine. It’s a fun shaker card for any patriotic or July celebration.
I’m going to cut out a silver 50 to add for a 50th birthday card that I need this month.
Let’s Celebrate!

I have started doing anything with Christmas yet. I know some people are. Question 7 on the scavenger hunt was about the Christmas section. I didn’t have anything to share with you yet – so I’m going to come back to that a bit later.
For now on to question 8 – The Affectionately Yours Suite includes a new “metal” accent – what is it? The answer is Copper.
There is brand new Embossing Powder and Metallic Thread both in Copper. You’ll also find copper in the Affectionately yours Specialty Designer Series paper. And in the Designer Washi tape. Are you ready for the copper trend?
I made this card using the suite but I didn’t actually use any of the copper. I did use the Love & Affection stamp set and the Designer Paper.

There is also some new Thick Bakers Twine that comes in the Cucumber Crush color that is in this suite. I didn’t want it so thick so I took and separated it into the three main strands and then used one of those on my card.
I used the Lots of Labels Framelits for my focal point. I cut two labels the same size and glued them together opposite of each other to make a fun new shape. I want to try that again on another card because I like how it turned out.
A quick card that was part of my Card Maker’s class this month. And I’ll have it available for next month too if you missed class in June be sure to catch it in July.
Thanks for visiting.

Jun 27, 2016 | All Inclusive Kits, Cards |
Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has two All-Inclusive kits that are ready for all crafter’s with all the supplies, stamps and ink that you need. Just add scissors and adhesive and you are ready for fun! Question 5 on my scavenger hunt was What are the names of our two all-inclusive kits?
Oh Happy Day Card Kit – this is the new one – it’s bright and cheerful and makes 20 cards.

Watercolor Wishes – a carryover from the last catalog – it also makes 20 cards that are soft and soothing. And it has a really awesome stamp set.

These kits make great cards that you can send out to family and friends and then you have an the stamp sets, ink and extra pieces left to create other things with. I really love the stamp set from the Watercolor Wishes kit and I used it on this little note card along with some new products from the catalog.

Thanks for visiting me today. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about the all-inclusive kits. I’ll be planning a class for the Oh Happy Day kit later this year.
