I have to tell you that I didn’t think much of this stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini catalog when I first saw it. It is called You’re My Type and includes the type-writer and 6 different sets of words to go with it. But then I saw what other demonstrators were doing with and thought I probably need to get this set – it is actually very versatile and works great for a masculine or gender neutral card. But you can dress it up and bling it up and change the colors and you can even use the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set with it and other too. Now the possibilities are really growing. And I really wanted it – lucky me that I got it free at Leadership!
So this is a quick and easy card (idea from the Stampin’ Success magazine – Feb 2012 issue). I didn’t want to cut out the typewriter so the card front has a Very Vanilla panel and the typewriter is stamped on it using Early Espresso ink. At the bottom of the panel is an Early Espresso strip and then a piece of First Edition Designer Series paper punch with the Scallop Border.
Tie a piece of Early Espresso Baker’s Twine around it. Stamp “a little note…” on Sahara Sand card stock strip and cut to create a banner. I also stamped the words on the paper part of the typewriter image without reinking – so it is just a faint hint of typing. Attach the banner with a brad and then add the whole panel to the front of an Old Olive card.
Happy Stamping!
