Year in Review – July, August, Sept

A little family update – I took Kyle and Tyler Wed. morning to have all of their wisdom teeth removed – so we have 8 less teeth in the house now.  The rest of that day was busy for me – dropping of prescriptions, getting them home and in bed, changing gauze pads, picking up meds, administering meds, getting more meds because Tyler could keep any down, getting drinks for them and soft foods – sherbet, jello, applesauce and Gatorade were the items of choice yesterday.  And crushing up pills because Tyler wouldn’t swallow them was no fun – he complained about the taste and I told him if he swallowed them that wouldn’t be an issue.  Today he figured out he could slide them down in the Jello!  Kyle seemed to be doing better than Tyler yesterday but today I think it is the other way around.  I made pancakes and oatmeal this morning.  Tyler seemed to be his normal self today, Kyle seemed to have a bit more pain today.  Both of them came out to dinner at the Chinese restaurant with us and went to a movie after wards.  So everything seems good right now.

Here are more of my year in review projects for you to see – enjoy – and have a safe and Happy New Year!

June 2010 –  Of the Earth card

http://monikastamp.wordpress.com/2010/06/27/last-chance-cards-of-the-earth/

It was hard to pick just one favorite project each month – and I seem to want to pick the 3Ds or scrapbook pages over the cards.  Maybe I need a favorites category of cards and a favorites of the non-cards.  June I had many of my Artisan projects posted and most of those are ones I really loved – that’s why I submitted them for the contest.

Year in Review – Jan, Feb, Mar

For the last few days of the year I’m going to share my favorite projects from this year.  One from each month of this past year.  I just can’t believe another year has passed.  I have loved sharing my projects with you on my blog and love to read the comments and hear that you like what I share.  I hope 2011 is as fun and exciting as 2010!

Below are my picks for Jan, Feb and Mar 2010 – I added the links below each one that will take you to my blog post with more details about the project.  Enjoy!

UDI Color Challenge #16

Can you believe Christmas has passed and the new year is almost here?  How long will it take everyone to remember to write 2011 instead of 2010?   I’m excited for January to get here because I’m excited to be attending the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference!  Not much longer now…… but lets move on to the Utah Diva’s Color Challenge – this is #16. Click on this link to go to the  Utah Diva’s Color Challenge blog.   This is the inspiration that Gretchen gave us this week –

So this made me think of Valentine’s Day and Chocolates.  I even thought about just creating a box that looked like the cake in the picture.  But I still had my Paper Crafts magazine lying on my craft room table and there was a card sketch in there that I wanted to try – so that is what I ended up with – actually a birthday card in these colors.  Real Red, Soft Suede, Regal Rose, and Blushing Bride.  Here it is:

I used several designs of Designer Series Paper – Love Patterns pack (the special right now) – In-Color Hostess Paper Pack – Neutrals Patterns Paper Stack  – I didn’t have any Regal Rose designer paper so I used card stock to add the Regal Rose to the card.  The triangles are very easy to make – I used the large Star punch – and cut off two points on either side of the point I kept – the other end which then has a notch in it from the remaining two points was tucked under the card stock.  I tucked them all under different amounts so they appear to be different sizes but they are really all the same.

My card base is actually the Soft Suede but I cut the front short to be only 1-1/2″ and then added the points and then a Whisper White front panel to complete the front of the card.  A Real Red piece of the Love Patterns Designer paper, punched with the Scallop edge border punch was added to the left size.  And the stamp is from Afterthoughts stamp set – a Level 1 Hostess set.

Now it is your turn to play with these colors – then go to the UDI blog and add your creation to the linky section.
