Aug 1, 2018 | Designer Series Paper, PAWS Team, Watercoloring |
One of my favorite things to do is to make little gifts for everyone that attends my retreat weekends. In July I hosted a Getaway Retreat weekend for my PAWS team and some other local demonstrators. We had a fun creative weekend together and I showered them with little gifts throughout. This week I’ll be sharing with you what I gave them. My theme was the new 2018-2020 In Colors.

On Friday when everyone arrived they had a sign with their name at the table plus a notepad and matching pen. This was their Lovely Lipstick gift. The notebooks and pens came from the office supply store and I decorated them with Designer Series Paper and tied them up with ribbon and a tag. It was the perfect thing for taking notes on the shoe box swaps everyone shared and for making a wish list!
Supply List

Jul 9, 2018 | Birthday, Designer Series Paper, Punch Board |
This week I’m going to be sharing ideas using the Perennial Birthday stamp set. This set was introduced in the Occasions Catalog as part of a project kit that included a box and the supplies to make a stack of birthday cards. The kit is no longer available but the stamp set was a great little set that I find myself using quite a bit. Today’s project is one that is featured in the annual catalog and was one of the project made by my friend Cindy who is now working for Stampin’ Up! She has the dream job!

This project uses the Gift Bag Punch board and the Neutrals Paper Stack to make a little gift bag. Color the white sheer ribbon with drops of reinker. In ink well or pad place 2-3 drops of reinker, add water from Aqua Painter to dilute and place ribbon into the well. Let dry overnight on paper towel before using.
Supply List
- Perennial Birthday stamp set
- Whisper White card stock
- Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack – Basic Gray paper
- Lemon Lime Twist ink
- Calypso Coral ink
- Mango Melody reinker
- 1/8″ sheer whisper white ribbon
- Silver & White Baker’s Twine
- Blossoms Elements
- Gift Bag punch board
- 1/8″ Handheld punch
- Everyday label punch
- Tear & Tape
- Mini Glue Dots
Be sure to check back through out the week here and on my FB page for more projects featuring this stamp set.

Jun 28, 2018 | Cards, Paper Pumpkin |
Hello my stamping friends. It’s time for our monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. A blog hop filled with alternate ideas using contents from the monthly kit. This month our kit is – Broadway Star (June 2018) and an added bonus it coordinates with the Broadway Bound Suite in the Annual Catalog.

This months kit is bright and bold and full of star power! The kit includes supplies to make 8 cards to celebrate a birthday, graduation or other event.

For my first alternate idea I made a very simple change to the card base and turned it into a triangle box. You aren’t going to believe how simple this was to make and I only used supplies in the kit. Well I did use black ink instead of the Lovely Lipstick from the kit but that was it.
Triangle Treat Box

I used the black and white striped card base and added two additional score lines half way between the center score line and the edge of the card on either side – that’s 2-1/8″ from each side. Then fold on all three score lines and overlap the two end sections and you have a triangle box. The ends are open so just slide in a treat. I’ll confess that I actually made my box and then took it to the store to find a treat to go inside. I came up with four different treats that fit but I’m sure there are more.
- two Hershey’s almonds bars
- Zebra roll cake
- Hershey Snack Mix packet
- Take 5 bar

Here is a closer look from the side so you can see the shape.

Supply List
The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:
For my second alternate idea I decided to make a card to go with my triangle box.
Congrats Card
Since I stuck with the black, white and gold I wanted to basically do the same thing on my card. To make the banner piece I used some of the paper from the coordinating Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper. I took some left over pieces of the gold sticker sheet from my kit and cut enough of a scrap to add to the stamped piece of cake. Gold cake anyone? I stamped multiple times with the CONGRATS stamp to create the background piece.

Supply List
The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:
- Memento Black ink
- Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper
- Thick Whisper White card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Gray Granite card stock
- Gray Granite ink
- Candle Embellishments
- Stitched Shapes Framelits dies
- Big Shot Die-cutting machine
I hope you liked these alternate ideas for the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit. Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts. Now go see what the rest of the gang made.

The Blog Hop Continues
To continue through the full Blog Hop go and click on the next blog in the list below.
Don’t forget you have until the 10th of the month to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and get that month’s kit.
If you want to get your own monthly kit sign up by the 10th – go here. On the Paper Pumpkin Facebook page they have been giving hints – so far a picnic basket, gingham, and maybe wood – what will it be?
Thanks for visiting today.

Jun 27, 2018 | Big Shot, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Masculine |
Happy Wednesday! I’m continuing to share ideas using the Rooted In Nature Bundle. Let’s take a look at today’s card – it’s the first one I made with this bundle. It was actually the card that we made at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in April. The event was so much fun and we got our first look at the brand new catalog and a chance to play with some of the products. I’d love for you to join my team and come with me to the big 30 Year OnStage Celebration in April. A new sign up special is coming in July – and it’s a good one!

This card features a couple of the accessories that are part of the whole Nature’s Poem Suite of products. The Leaves Trinkets and the Nature’s Twine. The Leaves Trinkets are metallic leaves in both copper and silver that can be added to your creations – I used mini glue dots to add them to this card. Your going to love these trinkets so be sure to place a qualifying order (minimum order of $30 in products) this week and I’ll mail you a sample – use hostess code ETSM4PDT by June 30, 2018.

One of the colors included in the pack of Nature’s Twine is the Mint Macaron used on this card – additional colors are Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, and Grapefruit Grove. It seems like I’ve used some designs from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series paper on every card so far. On July 1st we will be starting a Designer Paper Sale and this one will be included! Tucked behind the stamped sentiment are stamped and die cut leaves, and the Leaves Trinkets.
Supply List

- Natures’ Poem Designer Series paper
