A couple of fun announcements today! A monthly kit and a kit for men!
Today at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference Bonnie Thurber announced a new Kit in the Mail program called Paper Pumpkin.
Every month you’ll get a cute little box that comes to your door with a fun stamping project. I think this is going to be such a fun idea and the perfect solution for many of you who can’t make it to a stamping class. And for anyone else that wants a fun project surprise every month! The kits will include the ink, the stamps, the card stock and accessories and it will all be pre-cut for you – just some adhesive is all you should need and perhaps a pair of paper snips. More details coming out on Monday – that is when you can start joining. But make sure you select me as your demonstrator when you join. More details are coming! And be sure to come to classes this month if you want to see the Welcome kit in real life – because everyone here at Leadership received the Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit and Try It Kit (that’s another option for you too).

The other fun announcement is a new stamping kit for MEN! Check it out here –
And here are a few more pictures from today –
Lunch time at Leadership – a sit down table service lunch – very nice!

I have a few pictures to share from Leadership – which hasn’t really started yet – Thursday was Check-in day and the Manager’s reception. And we did a service project packing tote bags with retired Stampin’ Up! products for teachers in the Orlando area. I also did a couple of swaps with the GoDiva group – a card swap and 3-d swap. Plus I ran into Shelli and got my picture with her – actually twice today – once at the service project and once at Harry Potter world. I’ll share more pictures later – I have the others to download from my camera still. These are the ones I got off of FB.

It’s Shelli and me!
I’m writing this Thursday night and it’s late and I’m tired. I’m not good with Roller Coaster rides, but I did want to try them out at Harry Potter world. I should have stopped after the first one. Note to self – don’t do those rides again. More later.
It’s another Create with Connie & Mary color challenge – this week the colors were Midnight Muse, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. That made me decide for sure that I prefer sketch challenges – what in the world was I going to do with those colors?
I did some quick browsing in a crafting magazine and saw a sketch in there that I thought I could use with the new Pretty Petites stamp set that will be available during Sale-A-Bration. So I combined that idea with the color challenge and came up with this cute little card for this weeks challenge –
In the end I liked the colors together and this little creation. It is actually a 3×3 card and here is a quick look at how I made it.
card base is Midnight Muse
I stamped 8 of the mini curly label images from the Pretty petites stamp set in Midnight Muse ink on Whisper White card stock, and punched them all out with the Petite Curly Label punch, arrange those on the front of the card
stamp 1 of the hello image in Midnight Muse ink on Pink Pirouette card stock and punch out – add it with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the lower right corner of the card front
Punch 8 of the Bitty Flowers using the punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack – those are Pink Pirouette – scrunch them up and add to the center of each curly label.
Put a Rhinestone in the center of each flower
Tie some Whisper White Baker’s twine around the card front and tie in a bow.
In the end I liked the card, the colors and how it all turned out. Substitute one of the other images to make it a thank you, birthday, or other occasion card. Visit the Create with Connie & Mary site to see the creations from the rest of the design team and to submit your own creation for this new challenge. Have a great week! I’m at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference this week.

Look at this cute thing we made at stamp club last week! I had a punch art Lion card from another Stampin’ Up! event – I think convention probably. It was a swap I received and had posted on my card tree that was up during my classes. Everyone always thought it was cute and Cari wanted to make it at stamp club. Finally I designed a card to go with the punch art lion.
A few new products from the Spring Mini are on here – including the Parker’s Patterns Designer Paper and the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I’ll come back later and add in all the punches and dies.
These were the gifts I gave my downline for Christmas. I think they all liked them. They are pouches for a pair of paper snips – and yes I included the paper snips too!
Stephanie helped with the sewing – she is much better than I but I think I did figure out one problem – and that is my sewing machine. I found the instruction book for mine and it is copyright 1978! Oh I think I might need a new sewing machine and then I might be better at it and enjoy it more. I was working on some swaps for the Leadership conference this weekend and got so frustrated with the machine I had to call my friend Cindy for help. She brought her machine over yesterday and I got done pretty quick. Next thing to purchase is going to be a new sewing machine.
Anyway back to these little things – I used Stampin’ Up! fabric – different patterns as you can see. For each pouch I cut two pieces of fabric and one thin piece of batting. I used the fabric adhesive to adhere the batting in between the two pieces of fabric. Then cut the whole thing with the petal cone die. Then we sewed them up.
To decorate them I cut flowers with the coordinating fabric and sewed that on with a button in the center. I also added shrinky dink monogram tags to the scissors but I didn’t get those in the picture.
I’m off to Florida today heading to the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference. I hope to have a few updates but they may be on my Facebook page instead of here on my blog – so check over there too.
Oh – one more thing – if you are interested in joining my team I just might have one more of these for the next person that signs up! And coming later this month is Sale-A-Bration with a new Recruiting special – a great deal on the starter kit for you! Contact me if you want to know more!
