Today got away from me. Mostly because I was focused on the route that my youngest son Ryan had to take to drive back to college. We are in Georgia and he is going to Purdue University in Indiana. So he drove from home to Chattanooga, to Nashville, to Bowling Green, Louisville, Indianapolis and then West Lafayette. The problem was the snow storm coming across mostly through Kentucky. Somehow I think he managed to miss most of the snow – he had some snow but not as much as I feared. And my oldest flew home today back to Seattle – he flight was a little delayed and apparently there is some snow in Seattle too. And then we have snow expected tomorrow so I’ve moved my stamp club to meet on Sunday afternoon instead of Friday and Saturday.
So on to this quick little project that I have – I wished I had shared it earlier with you. But better late than never. You can use this idea for next year. It’s a little Santa Wish List project. It was actually one of the little pillow gifts that I gave to the girls that came to my fall Stamp, Scrap, & Create Retreat.
I was planning to cut index cards to put on a ring but then I found these little index card rings at the store and just bought a whole bunch of them – saved me a ton of time!
I replaced the front and back cover. The front cover is Real Red with a piece of Whisper White that I die cut with the Detailed Santa Thinlits and carefully glued down and trimmed to the size of the card. I stamped the words using the Labeler Alphabet set and cut those out. Then added Emerald Envy Ribbon to the ring. Both the front and back are covered with a window sheet (you can’t really see it here since its clear!).
Anyway that’s all. Now back to watching the weather……
This last year was not a good blogging year for me. Sorry about that. I’m really hoping to blog more and consistently every week. I have lots of stamping to share with everyone – I just haven’t been able to keep up with actually editing photos and writing blog posts. I’m crossing my fingers that I can do MUCH better in 2017!
So Happy New Year! This was a fun shaker card that we made at the Atlanta OnStage After Party event that I co-hosted back in November. It was a fun evening with 50 demonstrators after the regular Stampin’ Up! Local event ended. We had a scrumptious family style Italian dinner, demonstrations, make&takes, gifts and a special Q&A session with two of the Stampin’ Up! concept artists. A great evening was had by all.
Here are some details on this card:
The front panel of the card was cut with the Large Number Framelits – I used the Thick Whisper White card stock so it would be sturdy.
The stamp set is It’s a Celebration from the Holiday Catalog – it’s still available through January 3rd.
Fireworks are stamped in Smoky Slate ink.
Add a piece of Window Sheet to the back of the die cut panel. Then add the Foam adhesive strips around the entire panel and a strip above the die cut numbers.
The sequins are the Fancy Frost Sequins in the Holiday Catalog – available through January 3rd.
Stamp Happy New Year in Sweet Sugarplum ink on a strip of Whisper White – punch the end into a banner.
Staple a piece of Glitter Ribbon and a piece of Silver Sequin Trim to the end of the banner.
You can still take advantage of the Year-End Close out sale going on through January 3rd. It’s the last day of the close-out sale and the last day of the Holiday catalog. If you order on my website in the online store use the Hostess code – YUMGKRG7 when you check out. All orders over $30 will receive a special gift from me! I will send you 5 hand-made cards in January.
If your order is over $150 don’t use the hostess code – you can redeem Stampin’ Rewards on your order and I will still send you the cards
Use the Hostess code BQETXTPF when you check out.
To celebrate Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday all orders over $30 will receive a special gift from me! Choose between Pearl Basic Jewels, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, or White Perfect Accents. Please email me with your choice – or I will choose for you.
Monday only – November 21st – Don’t Miss these items!!
November is here – can you believe it? Where did September and October go – I swear they just started! Now it’s time to plan for Thanksgiving and Christmas if you haven’t already started. We will be having our family here for Thanksgiving this year – all three of my boys will be home again and I’m so excited. This week I’m still finishing up things for OnStage this weekend and next week I can focus on Thanksgiving preparations. I do have a Thanksgiving card for you today. I wasn’t sure I liked the Paisley paper but I did order it and I do love it on this card.
I used the copper embossing powder on the greeting from the Suite Seasons stamp set. Did you know that the Suite Seasons set includes sentiments that coordinate with suites throughout the Holiday catalog. This one goes with the Petals & Paisleys Suite. The Specialty Paper has cooper foil in two of the designs. And I also added some linen thread with a little copper pinecone tied to it. I love those little pinecones!
Also today we have a new early release of the Stitched Shapes Framelits plus a sale on select stamp sets through the month of November. Click here to see the full PDF.
