Well this is one of the new stamp sets in the Occasions Mini Catalog that I did not order. I already had so much I was trying to hold back. But everytime I see projects made with the set I just love them. I don’t think I’ve seen anything yet that I didn’t like. Carolyn brought this project to the retreat so I was able to use the set when I was making this project. This is the front of the portfolio (that is what I am calling it). Her original sample include real stitching around all the edges which added just a bit more detail to the project. We did not do this on ours – she actually had the folder put together for us we just added the decorations on the front and all the contents on the inside. I do have a little craft sewing machine that I should get out and try some sewing on my projects.
Inside the folder we had a small notepad which we covered and decorated to match the outside. A pen that we added the matching designer paper too and a couple of cards. This stamp set is great for the spotlighting technique that we used on this project. If you need help lining up the boots use the stamp-a-ma-jig to get them all in a straight line and position on the paper.
Too cute!
It is raining again today. Not hard but just enough that everything is wet – I didn’t have to water my plants on the back porch. Aspen is feeling much better and wants desperately to chase a chipmunk – I’m taking him out only on a leash and making him walk. He isn’t very happy about that. And Magnolia doesn’t understand why he can’t play – she wants to wrestle and run with him. Tonight we are going to Tyler’s band banquet at the High School. I also had another PTA board meeting (I’m a committee chair at both schools) tonight but I’m not going to this one and tonight is Pokeeno night too – I’ll have to miss that also. In June I’m hosting Pokeeno with two other ladies in the group and it will be a pool party with our husbands (normally we just play with our group of 12 ladies). I’m planning to make invitations using the Game Night and Card Games stamp sets.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by – leave a comment to say “Hi!”. And come back later this week for the blog tour!
Oh my gosh I love this what a great way to use this stamp set
Love it. Hope we make this project.
