Do you remember Pick A Petal? It was a stamp set that was so popular when it originally came out. I know mine got put away and I haven’t used it in such a long time. I was looking through my swaps from the Stampin’ Up! Convention and remembered one of my favorite swaps from my roommate Michele – she used the Pick-A-Petal stamp set. I have been wanting to make that card but haven’t done it – so now it is October and I finally made one. I decided to use some different colors. Sunday was such a bright sunny day that I wanted to use a bright sunny color and I chose Daffodil Delight. I know it was Halloween but it sure didn’t feel like Halloween here. And believe it or not Ryan (my youngest) came up and told me he just wanted to stay home and hand out candy with me.
Anyway back to my card. I looked through my designer series paper to find one with Daffodil Delight in the design and decided to use Sunny Garden – it suited my thought perfectly. And here it is:
The petals are stamped directly on the Designer Paper and punched out with the Large Oval (the new name is 1-3/4″ x 7/8″ Oval Large). The petals are attached to the bottom of a 1-1/4″ circle punched from an embossed piece of Poppy Parade card stock. The embossing folder is called Petals-a-Plenty. I added a small rhinestone. I also got to use one of my newest stamp sets – A Word For You – love the font on this one! I like Michele’s card better – she used Pear Pizzaz, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip on hers. But I made a sunny card!
We are just starting with a new round of Monika’s Blog Bingo – Group 6.
It’s BINGO TIME! We are playing Round 6 of Monika’s Blog Bingo. I have now filled group 7 and won’t be taking any more names right now – I”ll be taking a Bingo break after group 7 plays – I may play again in the future so I hope you will continue to visit my blog. See this POST for more details on how to play and the previous winners.
Here is piece #3 –the Heart from Cute by the Inch stamp set (stamped in Poppy Parade).
Very cute Daffodil Delight card. Nice to see some sun shine in these days that turning gray.
I love this card! I think I have used my set maybe twice since it first came out. This would be a super workshop card and I hope you don’t mind if I use it for that! Thank you so much for sharing!
Monika, I love the card & yellow is my favorite color. I am honored to have you use one of my layouts. Hope to see you in January, Michele
