At our weekend at Wendy’s we made some wonderful projects. Today I want to show you the paper flowers we learned to make. This was the project that Michelle Scileppi designed – she always creates beautiful projects.
We made three flowers – the purple one is the Scallop Circle Punch, the yellow on is the large Star punch and the Red one is the Five Petal Flower punch. For each one we punched 5 layers. Then we sprayed them with water and wadded them up. Next we un-wadded (that probably isn’t a word but oh well) them and layered them together. Then we stuck them on a piece of floral wire.
Now the work is forming all the petals so they look like flowers. Michelle’s looked just like real flowers. Mine don’t look quite that good – more like little squished flowers but you get the idea. The little pom-poms were glued in after the paper dried.
It is a cute little project and would be fun for little center pieces at a special spring event. She also showed us one made with the small daisy flower from the Daisy#2 Big Shot die. I want to try to make one of those – but haven’t done it yet.
I hope you have a flower filled day!
I’m a Guest Designer at Create with Connie & Mary: Summer Edition – its not too late to join!
Very cool ideas! I would have never though to make a flower out of the star punch, now I need that punch to, LOL!
This is really beautiful and would make a great centerpiece! Sounds like you really had a great time, thanks for sharing all you learned. Your flowers look great to me! 🙂
