Something Old, Something New – 2 more days!

Only 2 more days!!

Just 2 more days until the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and 2017 Occasions Catalog officially retire!  Don’t miss some great products – Gorgeous Grunge is one of my most used stamp sets and the Star Framelits and star punch are retiring – that one still baffles me.  So if you want the stars get them now.

2 more days until the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog begins!  Ordering begins June 1st at 2:00 PM ET (12 noon MT).  If you don’t have your new catalog yet let me know.

Here is another Something Old project for you:

youre-sweet

This uses the Cool Treats Suite from the Occasions catalog.  This sweet is perfect for summer!  And luckily the stamp set and the framelits are staying – but the two bundled together will retire – so save 10% by ordering them as a bundle now.  The fun Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Paper is also retiring. The Watermelon Wonder is one of our retiring In-Colors and it is in this paper – I used the card stock to make the little strawberries – aren’t they the cutest!  Some other items in the suite are the washi tape and Sprinkles Embellisments – those will be retiring too.  If you go to the Stampin’ Up! FB page the Artisan Design team had a bunch of projects with this suite.

And today’s something new project –

hb-gorgeous

How about this fun, bright, birthday card!  It features one of our brand new In-Colors called Lemon Lime Twist!  I used the card stock and a piece of the new Fresh Florals Designer Paper Stack for this card.  This new color on the Basic Black just pops!  I also used a brand new bundle – Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle – it’s one that you might overlook in the catalog.  It includes this awesome Happy Birthday Thinlits die – I love the font and the size of it.  And there is a stamp set that you can use with it – that’s where the word BELATED comes from.  I think I need a whole big stack of these cards since I’ve missed lots of birthdays since the beginning of the year.

Remember to SHOP NOW for the retiring items and make your shopping list for new items to order in June.  If you live local be sure to come to my Catalog Kickoff Party & BOGO Sale on Saturday, June 17 – visit my calendar HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Now for some projects to share with you – I’ve decided to do a few posts to count down these last few days that I’m calling Something Old, Something New.  So here we go – today’s something old project:

succulent-sketch

Its the lovely Succulent Garden Suite from the Occasions catalog.  The succulents are quite trendy right now.  I know I see them every day on the Ellen show on her table.  And I’ve seen some pretty realistic looking creations made with these stamps, dies and card stock.  Hurry and get these goodies before they are gone – the Oh So Succulent stamp set, Succulent Framelits Dies, Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper and cardstock pack.  A couple of the retiring colors are in this suite so be sure to get cardstock and ink in those colors too – Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron.

And today’s something new –

color-theory-bundle

I love this new bundle – Colorful Season Bundle – it’s a stamp set and coordinating Thinlits dies that are perfect for every season of the year.  These are part of a suite called Color Theory – and I used just a little peek of the Designer Paper on this card.  You are going to love this bundle & suite and be able to use them all year long!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop May 2017

18033233_10209661882799536_5639792754841057266_n

Are you ready for a new set of ideas for your monthly Paper Pumpkin kit?

For today’s post I’m joining in with a group of talented demonstrators who have created some other ideas using items from the May 2017 kit.  One of the wonderful things about the Paper Pumpkin community are all the different ideas that everyone comes up with.   So join us today as we bring you some more ideas for this month’s Sprinkled with Love Paper Pumpkin kit

If you aren’t a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you can sign up HERE. Sign up by June 10 to receive the June kit. AND if you are a brand new subscriber use the promo code – STARTHERE – and receive 25% off each of your first three months – that’s the June, July and August kits!

On to my card for today – this one is a clean and simple card.  I used a few things from the Paper Pumpkin kit along with a few supplies from my craft room.

pp-alt-idea

I decided to use one of the little envelopes as “paper” and die cut it with the Stitched Shapes Framelits using the largest of the circle dies.  You could cut 4 circles from each envelope.  And probably get two more if you didn’t cut full circles or moved to the one size smaller in the set.   I cut full circles because originally I thought I was going to use the full circle but ended up just using a portion of it.  And if you don’t have the Stitched Shapes or other Circle dies, use a punch.

I glued my circle onto a layer of Very Vanilla card stock (mine is 5″ x 3-3/4″).  I added that onto a Soft Suede card base (11″ x 4-1/4″, score at 5-1/2″).  I stamped the greeting on my card using the Soft Suede ink – you could pick which ever greeting you want.  Then use 24″ piece of the gold twine and tie it around the front of the card and tie in a little bow.

To finish I took three of the vanilla flowers from the kit and stamped the centers and then added a pearl.  Each one is on the circle with a dimensional.

I think it turned out to be a nice elegant card – it could be a wedding card even – it is wedding season now.

If you live local to me join me for some stamping this week – Friday 5/26 – Card Makers Class and next week Wednesday 5/31 for Paper Pumpkin Craft Night.  You can find details and RSVP on my website HERE.

Be sure to hop along and see the rest of the ideas. Next up is Kimberly Morris – check out her creative ideas.
