Oct 19, 2017 | 2017 Holiday Catalog, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Thank You |
Here is another quick note card – well this one may take a little bit longer – it uses the Big Shot. But it’s still cute and quick once you have your die cuts. Well I guess technically the last card I posted also had a die cut – so really this one is just as quick as that one.

This one uses the same Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper – yes I love that paper. Even the designs that I didn’t think I was going to like or use I’ve been using. I think I’m on my third pack right now. These are the Very Vanilla Notecards and envelopes. The paper is cut to 3×4 – so you can get 12 pieces from one 12×12 piece of the designer series paper.
I used Gold Foil Sheets on this one and die cut the little flourish – two of them – from the Flourish Thinlits dies. The card and envelope are stamped with the Flourshing Phrases stamp set. I used my Triple Banner Punch to punch the end of a 1″ strip of card stock for my greeting. And then finished with some Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine.
Don’t forget about the sale on Designer Series Paper. You can order your products HERE.
Enjoy!

I love to use the Notecards & Envelopes for quick little cards. The Very Vanilla ones are nice for a fall feel.

This one uses the Flourishing Phrases stamps set, a little bit of the Painted Autumn Designer Series paper. And to dress it up just a bit a die cut piece from the Flourish Thinlits. Stamp the envelope to match.
Quick and easy to make a stack – the notecards come in a pack of 20 with envelopes.
Thanks – it’s short and sweet today.

Oct 13, 2017 | 2017 Holiday Catalog, Christmas, class |
This weekend is my first Christmas card class of the season. I’m starting with a class featuring the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit from the Holiday Catalog. The kit makes some really beautiful cards and I added stamping on my envelopes too.

Everyone coming to the class will get a start on their cards for the season – we will finish 20 cards in this class.
But today I wanted to show you how fun the coordinating stamp set is. This is a card I made with the stamp set.

I used the Watercolor Christmas stamp set along with Tranquil Tide card stock and ink. I added a piece of the Wood Textures Designer Paper Stack (It’s part of the paper sale going on this month). The large circle is cut with the Layering Circle Framelits.
The Corrugated Elements embellishment and the little stamped hand cut tree are stapled on. Yes I still use my retired Stampin’ Up! stapler. But any stapler will do – this one just uses smaller staples than those normal office sized ones.
It’s a quick and easy card. With just a few supplies you could make a stack of these and add them to the stack from the project kit and be ready for your holiday card sending in no time.
Thanks for visiting.

Oct 10, 2017 | 2017 Occasions Catalog, Boxes, Christmas |
The Acetate Boxes are on page 13 in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. You might have missed them. They are the perfect size to hold 5 cards and envelopes. Making them nice for storing a set of cards or better yet – giving a set of handmade cards as a gift! Who would you give some too?
But what happens when you cut one of those nice boxes in half? Well you get two small open-ended boxes that you can use for holding little treats or tags or any number of things.

I used a Guillotine cutter to cut them exactly in half. The paper trimmer won’t work. Or you could measure and use some heavy duty scissors being careful to get a straight edge. In either case I used Designer series paper along my top edge – so if your cut isn’t perfect the paper can hide it. The paper I used was from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.
To finish decorating my box I stamped a tag from the Merry Little Labels stamp set and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. To the back of it I added two vellum Leaf punches – that’s the new Leaf Punch – and then added that to an Old Olive piece of card stock. To the back of that I’ve added a piece of Mini Gold Sequin Trim and a piece of the Foil Snowflake – I used a gold one. Then I put the whole thing on my box with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I tied around a piece of Jute Twine.
Now fill with goodies!

I found these Honey Caramel Chocolate Peanut clusters at Sam’s Warehouse. They come in a big bag but are individually wrapped – plus the green foil went nicely with my paper! Actually I bought the candy first and then went through my paper to find what looked good with the candy!
Be sweet! Thanks for stopping by.
