For July only select Designer Series Paper Products are Buy 3, Get 1 Free! There are 10 different selections included in the sale. Most are 12×12″ packs except for the Tropical Escape and the Wood Textures.
I’ve been playing with the designer paper that I already have from the new catalog and making cards that focus on the paper. The card I want to share today uses the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper.
I focused on this green design that reminded me of some old wood or cardboard that was worn. Tranquil Tide and Soft Sea Foam are the main colors. This paper pack is part of the Tranquil Textures Suite but today I’ve paired it up with the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and a couple of punches

It’s the month of July and it’s time for the much loved Designer Series Paper Sale from Stampin’ Up! Don’t feel sad about using your pretty paper stock up now with this offer to buy 3, get 1 free on a selection of papers in the brand new catalog. This week I’ll be showing ideas that feature our beautiful Designer Series paper. Just pair the paper with an all occasion greeting stamp set and you can hit all the different events, occasions and holiday’s throughout the year. I’m using the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set with most of my samples this week.
The Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper is so cute with all the different animals and prints. I wanted to use it to make a quick baby card. I used a 4×4″ square of the paper layered on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Choose a matching ribbon to tie around – I used the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon. For the tag I used two greetings from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and cut the words that I wanted to add to a little tag. It’s a super sweet and simple idea.

I hope you have enjoyed the Product of the Week focus on the Rooted In Nature Bundle. Today’s card is the one I featured in my Facebook Live video on June 29, 2018. In the video I showed several tips on how to use the Stamparatus to create this card.
The Stamparatus works beautifully with the large background stamps. It’s easy to get full coverage from the stamp because of the precision placement that the Stamparatus offers. In the video you can also see how to get a partial background image. I share some tips with using grid paper – I just cut up used full size sheets into 7-1/4″ squares to fit in my Stamparatus. This card also uses the Nature’s Twine – which is a little too thick for me, so I untwisted it into three strands and just used one for the card. If you didn’t watch live on my FB Page you can watch it below on my YouTube link.
And here is the video. If you are reading this in an email you may need to click through to my blog or YouTube to see the video. And while you are there be sure to sign up for my YouTube channel so you know when I post a new one.

Hello my stamping friends. It’s time for our monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. A blog hop filled with alternate ideas using contents from the monthly kit. This month our kit is – Broadway Star (June 2018) and an added bonus it coordinates with the Broadway Bound Suite in the Annual Catalog.
This months kit is bright and bold and full of star power! The kit includes supplies to make 8 cards to celebrate a birthday, graduation or other event.
For my first alternate idea I made a very simple change to the card base and turned it into a triangle box. You aren’t going to believe how simple this was to make and I only used supplies in the kit. Well I did use black ink instead of the Lovely Lipstick from the kit but that was it.
Triangle Treat Box
I used the black and white striped card base and added two additional score lines half way between the center score line and the edge of the card on either side – that’s 2-1/8″ from each side. Then fold on all three score lines and overlap the two end sections and you have a triangle box. The ends are open so just slide in a treat. I’ll confess that I actually made my box and then took it to the store to find a treat to go inside. I came up with four different treats that fit but I’m sure there are more.
two Hershey’s almonds bars
Zebra roll cake
Hershey Snack Mix packet
Take 5 bar
Here is a closer look from the side so you can see the shape.
Supply List
The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:
Memento Black ink
For my second alternate idea I decided to make a card to go with my triangle box.
Congrats Card
Since I stuck with the black, white and gold I wanted to basically do the same thing on my card. To make the banner piece I used some of the paper from the coordinating Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper. I took some left over pieces of the gold sticker sheet from my kit and cut enough of a scrap to add to the stamped piece of cake. Gold cake anyone? I stamped multiple times with the CONGRATS stamp to create the background piece.
Supply List
The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:
Memento Black ink
Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper
Thick Whisper White card stock
Whisper White card stock
Gray Granite card stock

Candle Embellishments

Big Shot Die-cutting machine
