Apr 19, 2014 | Easter, Punch Art |
These are fun little treats for Easter that you can make with just a bunch of your punches. I’m working on a bunch of them this morning to put out on my tables for tomorrow. I’ll have 29 here for Easter lunch – 25 are family and 4 are family friends. Only 2 younger ones that will be hunting eggs – they will have a bunch – I filled up all the plastic eggs that I had in my Easter stuff.

Here are the pieces I used for these cuties:
- body is 2-1/2″ Circle punch – plus the treat cup filled with jelly beans
- head is 1-3/4″ Circle punch
- Ears are the Large Oval punch – sponged with Blushing Bride ink in center and the edges
- nose is heart from the Owl punch
- eyes are tiny circles from the Owl punch
- q-tip dipped in Blushing Bride ink for the cheeks
- Whiskers drawn on with Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker
- mouth drawn on with Raspberry Ripple Stampin’ Write Marker
- bow is Raspberry Ripple ribbon and the flower is the little Dahlia
I use the multi purpose liquid glue and my tiny craft tweezers to assemble.

Happy Easter!

Apr 18, 2014 | Big Shot, Easter |
This project is so cute! I saw it on Martha Inchley’s blog. They were really easy to make.

A cute little bunny bag made from our Mini Muslin Bags. The hardest part of this project is taking the seam out of the bag. I used my paper snips to carefully snip the seam stitching and then pulled it all out. That makes the bag taller so you can create the ears. You also need to pull the cord out because you’ll use that to tie the bag shut after you fill it up.

Here are all the pieces – the muslin bag, after the seam is ripped out – cut a “V” in the top to create the ears. I made my stencils out of the thin card board that comes in our Designer Paper packs – I like to use that for creating templates and stencils since it is more durable than just a piece of card stock.
For the bunny nose I punched the Triangle punch. I used Strawberry Slush and a sponge Dauber to make the nose.
For the ear stencil I wanted a long skinny oval and we don’t have a punch like that. I looked through my framelits and found that the Word Bubbles had a long skinny oval – the only problem was that it has the little tail to make it a word bubble so I couldn’t really use it to cut my stencil since I didn’t want the tail on it. But I did decide that I could just trace it and hand cut it out. It’s not perfect but it worked for the ears on my bunny.
I drew on the mouth and the eyes are Basic Black Candy Dots. I did use tombo glue to attach the eyes – that’s what Martha said she did to make sure they stayed on so I figured that was good advice and did the same.
I filled my bag with Hershey Kisses and then tied it shut right at the base of the ears. Total Cuteness!
I was actually looking through my Easter pins on Pinterest and had pinned a project just like this one it just wasn’t Stampin’ Up! products and I hadn’t taken the time to make any last year. So when I saw the ones that Martha made with all Stampin’ up! products I was thrilled!
I hope you like it. Happy Easter!
I think I have one or two more Easter projects to share before Sunday. I actually 29 people coming here for lunch on Sunday!!
