We are all back from convention – and it’s time for a new challenge at Create with Connie & Mary. This weeks challenge CCMC211 is a sketch challenge. I was prepping for a class on Monday and decided to use this sketch for that and get two things done with one card. And then I added to my Card Maker’s club last night and it was very popular there too – now I’m almost out of So Saffron card stock – I better put that on my next order. Here is the card for you –
Here is the sketch so you can see what I started with to get to that –
As you can see I turned the sketch on its side. And really love how my card turned out. I used the Lacy & Lovely stamp set which I got at convention in my I am Creative bonus class on Wednesday night. It’s funny that I never really noticed this set in the catalog but I really like it and the fonts on the words are just lovely – I guess that is why they called it that.
All the supplies are listed below – come play along with us this week and try your hand at this sketch. I can’t wait to see what you create. Visit Create with Connie & Mary and submit your creation for this weeks challenge – each week 3 top creations are selected. Each challenge is open for a week. And then a new challenge will be issued.
Here are a few more details about my card.

Love how you twisted the card sketch! The card is fantastic – I know your customers must have loved recreating it!
Love this!! Great colors and everything! The embossing looks so pretty!
That sure is a lovely stamp set! And I love the embossed layer down the center. Such lovely texture to go with these warm colors.
Love what you did with this…flipping the sketch to the side…gives a whole new look to it! Very pretty!
LOVELY card! How did you get the embossing only in the “middle”? Does that technique have a name? Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Very nice! That combo and your card work well as a masculine card, too! So Saffron is so versatile 🙂 The embossing works so well with that stamp, too.
Love how you flipped the sketch and used the embossing folder in the middle! Great card! Was wonderful to see you at Convention! Great job with the CCMC sketch this week!
Hi, I just discovered your blog (but recognize you from SC). I just wanted to say I never noticed Lacy & Lovely before either. I just grabbed my catalogue after reading this post to look and realize that yes, I like it too! 🙂 Thank you for sharing your creation.
