I have been busy so I didn’t get anything posted yesterday.  I am working on the tax part of my Stampin’ Up! business – I need to do a better job throughout the year and then I wouldn’t have to do it all at once – I hear a GOAL for 2009.  Today I spent some time finishing up the February Class To Go Kit – I’ll send all the details out in the next couple of days.  I’m also working on the Stamper’s Club projects for Friday nights meeting.

Yesterday I met my sister-in-law, Tammy, for lunch – a little late birthday lunch – her birthday was in January.  I made her a 6×6 scrapbook with pages for each month of the year.  I debated on adding pictures for her or letting her add her own.  In the end I decided to let her add pictures – she can either go back and fill in with pictures from 2008 or add pictures throughout 2009.  I used the 6×6 Real Red linen ring album which Stampin’ Up! retired – it was my favorite one luckily I bought this one a while back.  I used rubons that I had left from Sale-A-Bration last year to decorate the front.  I did get them on but you really have to rub hard to get them to transfer so it took me some time.  If you don’t like the results you can erase the rub-on with the adhesive remover – it comes right off!  Then I added a Real Red striped ribbon around the book.  I like the result and I think Tammy did too.   The inside pages were 2 page spread for each month of the year – plus the front and back page.  Each page had room for one picture or several small sized pictures.  I have made several of these 6×6 albums as gifts – they are a great size.  Here are a few pictures:

These two pages are actually what I used for the front page and the back page.  You won’t actually see them together in the album but lately I like to make those two pages coordinate.  I guess I feel like it ties it all together.  Not sure that it really does though.

In case you couldn’t guess – these two pages are for the month of February.  I took this idea from a 12×12 scrapbook page that Wendy Randall designed.  I love the heart flower idea and the smaller hearts are the leaves.  The stem is free handed.

I hope all is well and you are staying warm!  This morning we had snow flurries – even if they were tiny and melted as soon as they hit the ground – it is always a big deal where we live and we get excited.  I’m not sure we got above freezing temp. today and it is very windy here too.  Except for taking Ryan to school and going to Jazzercize this morning – I stayed inside all day.

Have a Happy Stamping Day!
